Jacinto Benavente, de quien siempre se dijo que podía describir a las mujeres como nadie, llevó a cabo en 1893 un ejercicio de descripción completo, escribiendo un libro entero de cartas de mujeres en las que tocaba todos los temas que pudo imaginar. El amor, la esperanza, los celos, la religión, la trascendencia, los detalles. Es obvio que una obra de 1893 no puede aguantar una revisión interseccional con perspectiva de género realizada dos siglos después, aunque hay gente empeñada en hacerlo. Para su momento y en su contexto, me parece un libro bellísimo.
