Kyoko Mogami followed her true love Sho to Tokyo to support him while he made it big as an idol. But he’s casting her out now that he’s famous! Kyoko won’t suffer in silence—she’s going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!
Kyoko's perfect chance to wreak her revenge on Sho isn't going as well as she'd hoped. In fact, her rage is so consuming that she forgets she's supposed to be acting and tries to throttle Sho for real. That's not her only problem. Sho still thinks he owns Kyoko body and soul, but his manager is worried that Kyoko might be stealing his heart!
Yoshiki Nakamura (仲村佳樹) is a Japanese mangaka. She was born June 17. Nakamura made her manga debut with "Yume de Auyori Suteki" in the manga magazine Hana to Yume in 1993.
You can really see Kyoko and Sho's relationship in this volume. Both the good from the past and the not as good in the present.
I can't believe how Sho said that he thinks she belongs to him!!! The man is a super egoist and is stupid to boot! Or else he'd realize his feelings for Kyoko already!!! -.-
I'm also so happy for Kyoko now that she has a friend that she truly cherishes to the point that she cries when she imagines Moko dead!
Edit:
I love the picture of Ren as the demon. So hot!
Kyoko is sooooooooooo pretty. I am always amazed at what a chameleon she is!
I love when Kyoko tries killing Shou. So funny.
I love how she uses her Ren dolls to scold herself when Ren isn't there to do it! :P
Kanae is a really good friend! Love her!
Is Kanae a prostitute of something? Why all the disguises?

The end of the music promo arrives! Many ups and downs. Kyoko does a great job with her role but also faces a challenge in her hatred for Sho. Sho is beyond shocked by her and what she has become. His manager is impressed and worried by it. Yashiro is determined to find out what is up between Kyoko and Ren and we learn is his not tech friendly at all. Lol. Oh what he does made me laugh! And Ren gets jealous!!! Trust issues abound!! And then something is up with Moko. This volume was packed and I loved every minute but it also left my head reeling a bit. Just when you think you know what is going on..it zags another direction!

Firstly: can I just say that Kyouko "acting" that she hates Shou and "pretending" to strangle him is my new favourite thing? Because that scene was just AMAZING.
I just loved pretty much everything about this volume, from Kyouko "killing" Shou (and his reaction to her tears... the bastard surprisingly DOES care :o), to Kyouko getting a HUGE telling off from Moko after leaving the most useless voice message ever, to Ren being so determined that he had to listen to his message because it was from Kyouko, then needing to call her back immediately - and consistently calling her back until she answered (even if that WAS then RUINED by SHOU. GRRRRR.)
I'm pretty worried about Moko though... was she fired from the acting gig that she was so excited about? ;u; Need to know nowwwwww.

The conclusion of the promo clip ended magnificently, with Kyoko shocking everyone with her acting. Kyoko found Ren angry at her again, and also found Moko depressed. She went to investigate what was going on with Moko but ended with more questions than answers. I just love how Sho got to see Kyoko’s abilities in acting, it really makes me excited to see how her revenge will end up. I generally like how characters react when they see Kyoko’s superb abilities. As for the rest of the volume it was interesting and amusing but felt a bit off topic to me. I do really want to find out more about Moko (I have wanted to know more about her for a while, because she seems to be harboring some secrets of her own), so I’m really looking forward to the next volume!
I am so addicted to this manga, I cried when I bought up and now have to wait for the next one. So I felt I should buy it on my kindle even though I can read it for free on the manga site. This is my third time reading the whole thing. Hurry up author I am on the edge waiting to see if she gets the role and if Koyoto and Ten get to act together and a closer scenario.

Today's post is on Skip Beat!, vol 8 by Yoshiki Nakamura. It is the six in her long running series and you need to have read the seven volumes to understand what is going on. It is 216 pages long and is published by Shojo Beat. The cover has Kyoko on it looking very cute eating a snack. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this book. The intended reader is someone who likes shojo manga, strong heroines, and funny revenge stories. The story is told from third person close of Kyoko the main character. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the book- Kyoko's perfect chance to wrrak her revnge on Sho isn't going as well as she'd hoped. In fact, her rage is so consuming that she forgets she's supposed to be acting and tries to throttle Sho for real. That's not her only problems. Sho still thinks that he owns Kyoko body and soul, but his manager is worried that Kyoko might be stealing his heart!
Review- We finish Kyoko's filming on Sho's music video and she does a great job. She does not let her desire to destroy Sho overcome her, she just does her job to the best of her ability. But Sho has to ruin her happiness in herself when she call Ren to tell him about her job and that she did it for the right reason Sho grabs her phone and acts like a jerk. So Ren is unhappy with Kyoko but does not want to talk to her about it. Then Moko is acting strange and so of course Kyoko has to know what is going on and Maria decides to help her. More crazy high-jinks from Kyoko but she is still growing and becoming more than Sho or herself thought she could be. This volume has little less humor than previous but Kyoko steals the manga with just being herself. I love her so much.
I give this give volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.
Omg I’m in love with Kyoko’s evil spirits lmao when she choked him and with all the spirits I laughed more than I should lol absolutely in love with her character! When she finally raised her head with that evil spirit in the end of the shoot omg I had goosebumps here I want to take a moment to appreciate the art of this manga, it’s so beautiful and clean, I just love it! Also story is going at a good pace plus in this volume we got to see Sho’s perspective of hers which was INTERESTING because even if used her and ditched her there is still a Sho who knows her better than anyone else and feels bad for her. Coming to Ren he kind of started to show his feelings for Kyoko but he didn’t realise it yet but still it’s fun to see him jealousy lol 😂 he is so cute when is jealous or when he tease Kyoko with his bright smile 😂😂😂 I’m looking forward to the next volume to know about Moko. Overall I enjoyed this volume! Thank you Yoshiki Nakamura for your hard work!❤️

Oh my! I ended up buying the Kindle of this volume... also bought 9 and 10! My self control waned (Not that I have much TBH) but it was soooooooooo worth it. It was even better that the last volume, so good I feel like crying still.
The art on this volume left me speachless, I don't know if its because I'm getting used to it or is just that the style might be changing and it's less harsh.
Running to start the next volume.
SPOILER-----------------------
My favorite scenes were 1st when "Shitaro" (I'm aware his make is Shotaro, but SHITaro fits him better!) realizing how amazing Mogami is at acting and he is not such a good one. And when he sees her crying he is worried and then gets upset because he cared about her. UGHHH I LOVE IT!!
2nd when she get Ren's call and Shitaro is so shocked... I'm still smiling as I remember!
Kyoko did an amazing job with the promo clip and momentarily getting over her issues with Sho to deliver a phenomenal performance. Her acting gives me the chills, really. Did that brat Sho really have to interrupt her conversation with Ren like that? Now he's mad at us and Mr. Yashiro is definitely onto him. Moko has been acting very suspicious and hurting my feelings with how she keeps shutting out Kyoko. But I love her and understand that she might need some time to open up. She better get on with it soon though or I'll cry. Kyoko's moments with Maria are everything and their bonding over curses always manages to make me laugh. Anyways, loved this volume as always and excited for the next one.

Soo much beauty and splendor in this volume-- Kyoko, Kotonami, and Ren being the three most beautiful of them all. Although, angel Kyoko gave me actual shivers! She's really amazing, and I see that Sho Fuwa truly does harbor feelings for her. He's simply trash and trashy when it comes to treating women, as well as how he regards women in general. Ren Tsuruga is far superior in every way, but the president of LME is right... despite how suave he is, he is lacking in experience with women. Lastly, what the heck has Kotonami gotten herself into?! (And how can I make money by going out and escorting and looking cute like she does?! Is this rent-a-girlfriend now?!)
i was REALLY into this volume, read it in under an hour actually. sho and kyoko’s bickering is everything and i love maria and kyoko’s relationship they’re adorable. but oof it’s really heating up between ren sho and kyoko..
3,5 stars This made me want to keep reading. Comedy is taken to the extreme. Kioko and Sho's quarrels are thrilling. She still lets Sho tease her. Ren's gaze is icy again, as it was when he met Kioko on previous occasions. Uffina's acting weird. Kioko investigates.
Go female friendship! 🥰 Jedini minus: da nije Ren malo toksičan?
Kyoko is very vulnerable and rarely seeks support, so its a victory that she didn't face her low moment alone. Then!!! A powerful faceoff with Sho with a side of Kyoko backstory. But Ren is back in angry (maybe jealous) mode. Scary with lots of potential.
