A woman on the run… Amy Taylor is living a lie. On the run from her abuser, she lives one day at a time. She doesn’t have time for romance, and definitely not for the hot-as-hell Sheriff who’s sniffing around.
A bear with a badge… Bear Shifter Ryan Everson is the Sheriff based in Craggstone Town. It’s his job to know everything that’s going on, and to deal with any trouble—especially troubled strangers, no matter how gorgeous they are. When Ryan runs into curvy Amy, he knows immediately that she is his mate—she is the only one his bear, and his heart, desires. But first he has a little detecting to do…and a little seducing.
Danger closing in fast… As danger closes in, secrets from Amy’s past—and present—are uncovered. Reeling from the startling discovery, and what it means, can Ryan step up to the challenge and win her trust…or will she run again, leaving him alone and broken?
**This is a standalone romance with bear shifters, a curvy heroine and a Happy Ever After**

Amy is on the run with her 9 year old son; they are running from the abusive man in their life (her husband & his father).
Ryan is the youngest of the Everson brothers & is the Sheriff; he doesn't expect to find his mate in the bakery like his brother Craig did. But, he does. As he asked Amy some questions he knows by her answers that she's not telling him the whole truth, he then leans toward her & gets a good whiff of her & knows that she's his mate.
This is the beginning of their relationship & to find out if her abusive husband shows up & how their mating goes you'll have to read the book.
Ryan is the county sheriff. As a bear shifter he fills the role well. When Amy comes into town, full of surprises and secrets, all that matters to Ryan is that he's found his true mate. This clever novella is sexy and funny. Just when you think you've got it figured out, you're in for sharp turns and corners. Amy is perfect for Ryan, but true to herself and determined to live the life she needs to be safe and happy. The connection she shares with Ryan is strong. But strong enough? Be sure to read & see.
So book 2 in this series was a whole lot better than the first book. I really enjoyed the story and I liked how the story's are short good reads. In this book Ryan a yummy sheriff shifter sheriff meets his true mate but she is hiding something. The story was very well done and looking forward to the next one.
Amy is running from something and she doesn’t have time for Ryan, the sheriff, to be sniffing around her and asking questions. Ryan can sense that Amy is his mate, but can she trust him with her secrets and can he keep her safe. Ryan is a strong character who will do anything to keep his mate safe.
I was just reading words on a page and because it was all tell and no show I didn’t feel the story at all. Didn’t feel the connection between our characters, not even mother and son. The main characters didn’t feel fleshed out enough so felt a bit flat and one dimensional.
Im loving this series i really liked this book just adored Ryan and Any and Luke's story its another super shifter read by a great author would recommend her books

Amy is on the run from a horrific, abusive man. She’s desperately hoping that this small town on the edge of the forest can offer her and her son sanctuary, some peace and maybe a place for a fresh start. She sees an ad for help wanted in the window of the local bakery, and with hopes high she steps into her future.
Ryan had no clue what he’d be stepping into as he dashed into the bakery to escape the weather outside, intent on the tantalizing scents from Connie’s baked goods. When his eyes finally fell on the beautiful woman hovering near the counter he was blindsided. His mate. He and his bear simply knew that she was the one for him. Now he had to find out who she was, in spite of his bear’s instance of simply grabbing her and running for their cabin. No, she was human and it was going to take a bit of the normal ritual of getting to know her before his bear could get his way. And there was something off – she was scared, and her fear went up a notch when she realized he was the sheriff… now what kind of trouble has his mate found.
In the second story in the Everson Brothers series we get to meet Ryan and his mate Amy. The world is built a bit more with some interesting shifter lore – and I have to admit to having a chuckle startled out of me at Ryan’s reaction towards the ending of this story. Amy and her son Luke are trying to escape an abusive man who thinks nothing of harming his own child in order to keep control of Amy. It is extremely easy to loathe this man. Since Amy doesn’t know about shifters or mates, and she running scared Ryan has to ease into the mate side of their relationship. First she needs to trust him and he needs to end her abuser.
Full of action, sexy moments, a few glimpses of life with Ryan’s family and the growing connection between Ryan, Amy and Luke – this is a solid story with just enough edge to keep you waiting for the danger to pounce. If you enjoy Shifter Romance, then this is a series you’ll want to get started on.
I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Title: My Duty To Bear Series: The Everson Brother's Destination: Book 2, Author: Olivia Arran Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PRN#BearShifter My Score: #5Stars☆☆☆☆☆ •°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡•°•♡ Wow this was an amazing must read, this lady is really great when she writes. Her pages flow one right after another. There was no way I could put this book down. Most definitely do I recommend this book plus I just can't wait for Book 3. Ryan Everson is a Bear Shifter and Sheriff of Craggstone Town, He loves his job but it's freezing and a blizzard was coming any minute now. Running to the bakery he not only felt the heat but baking smell was so overwhelming he wanted to eat one of each. His Bear was going crazy, he kept screaming and screaming and Ryan thought he must really be hungry but up at the counter he saw or should we say smelt something intoxicating. Could it Be? No way ? Amy Taylor aka: Amy Greenway Taylor was so hungry her stomach just growled so loud. She need to get a job and fast. They came in last night and started living in the run down Motel. Hey it made it cheap, with little money she needed cheap. Amy's on the run, she took only what she loves and ran, and she is still running. She knows if he catches her she's probably dead. I was gifted this book for an honest and truthful review.
Amy and Ryan story was adorable. After being on the run Amy and Luke settle in a small town. After meeting the hot Sheriff Ryan in the bakery where Amy just landed a job on kiss and Ryan knew that Amy was his mate. While a huge was heading their way Ryan headed out to make sure the woods where clear but came across two wolves wrestling and heard a branch brake to find a boy Luke taking photos. Ryan knew it was Amy son just by looking at him. Taking him home the storm got worst to the point Ryan and Luke had to move quickly. Instead of going out getting stuck back in the eye of the storm Ryan crashed at the motel where Amy and Luke was staying and learned why she was there. The secrets of what really happened to make her run. Ryan bear claimed Luke and Amy as his, his family and his to protect from the dangers he would not be giving up either of them. The next day Luke and Amy past caught up to them and threatened to hurt her son but Ryan wasn't having that. Ryan took care of the threat and gained a family of his own. A link formed between Amy, Luke and Ryan now they could live happy without running ever again.
My Duty To Bear is a wonderful story that may hit home for some. Amy and her son Luke ate on the run. They are hiding from her abusive ex husband. They wind up in Craggstone Town. She just wants to find a job and keep her son safe. The last thing she thinks she needs is a man. Ryan is the local sheriff and an Alpha Bear shifter. The last thing he thinks he's going to do in his small town is find his true mate. This is where the story gets great. This story is full of love, lust, anger, fear, drama and chivalry. The world would truly be a better place if shifter good guys really existed. Not all families happen by birth some we choose. Everyone deserves to be cherished and protected by their mate. Alana Hart and Olivia Arran have done a fantastic job with a difficult topic in My Duty To Bear. I for one am thankful that they are willing to bring domestic violence into the spotlight in their book. Maybe it will help someone realize they deserve happiness and a better life mate! We can always hope. Great job ladies
This series gets better and better . This is Ryan's story, he's the Bear shifter Sheriff in town and when Amy and her son Luke who are on the run from a horrible husband cross Luke's path, he knows he's found his true mate and son !! He just needs to convince Army that they are safe fromode the monster trying to get them back and hurt them. Fast paced, lots of history, warm , loving story, with quite a bit of sexy heat. 4 ☆'s for great characters and fantastic storyline. I recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance. I received a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.
I really enjoyed this story and found Amy, Ryan and Luke very easy to bond with. I applauded Amy for doing what she did to protect Luke and just loved how Ryan handled everything. Would have loved to see the ratbag husband get his, he has gotten off way too lightly. A great second book that keeps giving us glimpses into some of the other brothers and makes you wonder who will get their true Mate next. I really want to know what is going on with Ralph and Corrine. This is my honest review of this book.
The Everson brothers are pretty hot and I can't get enough. This one is about Ryan and Amy. Having a horrible past the only thing she could do was start fresh and hope for the best, and her best was meeting Ryan. He swept her off her feet and Luke's, yup she's got a son and he loves them both. I am so happy for Ryan and Amy now I'm hoping sometime soon Ralph will get his woman.
Amy is running from her the husband that has abused her and her son. They end up in Craggstone Town where Amy finds work in the local bakery. Ryan Everson is the sheriff, and the moment he walks into the bakery he knows that Amy is his mate. Amy's husband is a rich man and won't give up until he finds his wife and son. Wow, fantastic book, sweet, sexy with a little excitement.
I found this book to be a very fast read. The writing was good and the story even better. The characters were so well written they felt like real people. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review and I am so glad I did. This is a new author for me and I enjoyed the book so much I had to go back and get a copy of the first book to see what I missed.
I am enjoying following the Everson brothers. Ryan is sheriff of their small town when. He first sets eyes on Amy. Amy is on the run with her 9 year old son from an abusive, extremely wealthy, man. Ryan will do anything to protect his mate and his future son when Amy's past catches up with her. Great story. Waiting for the next brother,
I have finished reading My Duty to Bear .A thoughly great book to read. Alana brings the characters to life. You can almost feel the fear Amy and Luke are feeling towards her abuser husband and also Ryan's excitement at finding his mate. Thank you Alana and Olivia for a great read.
