Alyson lives in Denver, Colorado with her very handsome husband, who also happens to be her high school sweetheart. She has 2 adult children, a girl and a boy, both of whom she is very proud of.

Alyson has been bringing characters to life and writing since she was a little girl. Her first published book was in elementary school, where it was put on display in the library for others to read. She has always had a love for the ocean and loves swimming with sea turtles in the wild. Alyson holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and is a former accountant who has traded in her abacus for a full-time writing career. She also works in the real estate industry as a realtor with her husband. She enjoys writing everything from erotica to suspense thrillers. Deception is the first book in the The Fixer Series which is both an erotic romance and suspense thriller. Promiscuous and Redemption, complete the Fixer Trilogy, which are now available.

In January 2017, Alyson will become a Grandma for the first time and couldn't be more excited! Her love of quilting keeps her busy in the winter months when she's not writing. Alyson is beyond excited for this next journey in her life and continues to enjoy spending time with her family, taking walks with her black lab, Sophie, watching football and laughing together.

This contains two short stories.

A Wintertime Affair by A. Raynes is a story told completely from the male POV which is nice-to start with. The beginning had potential, then the morning after happened. Tristan lost his "man card" everything progressed way too fast, and I got bored half way through. I struggled to finish it.

Under the Mistletoe by M. Escamilla is a too perfect story that had no peak moment. There were a lot of editing errors with time frames and saying one thing on one page and something else on another.

I hated the book. Way to much profanity and sexist language. Some may talk like this; but not everyone does. You know its ok to be nice person. It seems as soon as Tristan feels that someone thinks he's a nice guy or he feels he is being too nice then it seems he has to prove to himself and to others that he is not.

I will think twice about reading this author's books.

Wintertime Love by Alyson Raynes

I received this book for an honest review

I am a fan of The Fixer series so when I saw Alyson was putting out a short novella about my favorite character Tristan, I was on board. What I loved about Tristan is he is such naughty boy. I mean he is a player to the 100th degree but this novella gives us a peek at the man before his player player reputation is in full swing.

We see him meet his best friend, Dylan’s girlfriend’s best friend. Now this is when the guys are in college so it’s WAY before Dylan and Brooke. We get to see a glimpse of the sweet guy that Brooke loves while also seeing him start his womanizing ways. But Tristan is what gets my heart. I see the man he is and since I have read about him in the series, I KNOW the man is he now so seeing this sweet guy wine and dine a girl he is interested in..sigh….it’s a Christmas Miracle!!
