LOVED this one!
It's been awhile since I read the Black Brother's Trilogy. I remember loving it though, so I thought I'd give this one a try, and I loved ever dirty sexy angsty second of it!
My only complaint, I wish it was more then a novella!

3-3.25 stars. This was an okay read for me. This is a novella and it is Ariana and Marcus's story. Ten years ago, Ariana and Marcus met and spent the summer falling in love in Italy. They had a really hot relationship and explored some D/s dynamics. At the end of the summer, they made plans to start a long distance relationship and meet up in a few weeks. But their relationship crumbled, when they ran into each other at the FBI, where Ariana had just started to work and her father is the big boss. He warned Marcus to stay away from his daughter, and he did, so that was the last time they saw each other. Since then, Ariana has not been happy in her vanilla relationships and has not found anyone who had the dominance to fulfill her needs. She has finally decided to look into BDSM by attending a weekend retreat. She is shocked to run into Marcus there. They still have amazing chemistry, but she is really angry about what happened between them. Marcus is still very secretive about why he stopped talking to her and he is adamant that he still doesn't want to be with her. But they decide to play with each other for a night and leave the past in the past, knowing that they have no future together (because of Marcus' secret issues that he's not sharing). It is obvious that their sexy times together are emotional and loving. They end up getting snowed in and their night turns into the entire weekend together, but when they snow clears, Marcus tells her to go and breaks her heart again. But one of Marcus's law cases that he's investigating come to a head and brings out some bad people, who hurt Ariana to get to Marcus. Is that enough to make Marcus admit his feelings for her and explain what happened so they can have a future together?
Sigh. I liked Ariana. She was strong and willing to fight for what she wanted. I just didn't love Marcus. He just seemed to wimp out. He didn't really apologize for the way he treated her either. I think he was too passive. He was not honest with her When they were together, I did like them both and they had hot chemistry. I just had a hard time believing that he wouldn't wimp out on other hurdles in life. The story was interesting and the writing was pretty good. I have read one other book by this author and I enjoyed it, so I was a bit disappointed by this one. But I will try Ms. Bush's books again in the future.

This is a new author to me and the story isn’t bad so lets just start with that -- its very short of course as a novella usually is. However Im not sure what Im missing here or if Im not missing anything and just didn’t get the just of what was going on. This is obviously a novella of a trilogy that I have not read. I was sent the ARC and it claims it’s a standalone but again it let me somewhat confused as to who was who and what had happened. I felt I was missing a huge piece of the puzzle.
Ariana has gone on a mission to finally give herself something she feels she deserves although she isn’t sure if heading down he BDSM road is that road. Taking a chance she throws caution to the wind and heads to where she believes she can replace what she wanted ten years ago with Marcus. Being and FBI agent this is taking a huge chance and putting herself out there in her personal life isn’t something she does. Heading to a remote location she hopes she can find her way.
Marcus is a successful lawyer and will never forget Ari – he walked away from the best thing he had ever laid eyes on her had knowing he could offer her nothing. His entire world explodes when that girl walks back through the doors ten years later.
This story is really short and there is a lot of sexy time .. BUT I needed a deeper story of the characters and less sexy time. Yes I said it … personally ladies its hard for me to connect with the characters and the events that are overcoming or trying to better themselves by fixing if all they are doing is sexy time … so maybe if I had known more prior to reading this … Im not sure. But if you are a fan of the Black Brothers then definitely click this up. Me – I need more story and more depth and a back story. The writing for fans of the Black Brothers is definitely a keeper and again its not a bad story. I just didn’t know the full gamete of what had happened. Im certain these two characters would have meant more to me if I had.

This is my first Brynley Bush book, and now I am determined to go back and read the rest of this series.
This book is HOT. Panty-melting, kindle-scorching H-A-W-T! It's also a quick sweet second chance romance (which I am a sucker for) that I think you'll love (if you like ultra sexy, naughty, bdsm sexy scenes).
I'm not sure if you're catching on, but there is A LOT of sex in this book. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but there is a lot. I'd venture a guess that half the book is sex. This doesn't mean there is no plot! There is! And the connection between the characters is easy to pick up on. I did think the heroine was very easy to forgive-ish, but if I hadn't had good sex in that long, I might have been too... So there's that lol

Ariana treats herself to a weekend getaway to explore her interest in BDSM. She never expects to run into Marcus. He left her years ago brokenhearted and a love affair that she thought was just beginning. He thinks that he can just share a moment with her and then let her go again, but one taste of giving her what she needs isn't going to be enough.
I loved that Ari is a kick ass FBI agent who is willing to explore her sexuality even if it means losing her heart to Marcus all over again. Marcus is just a delicious bossy man. I so wanted them to find a way back together.

He's a little more than taken aback when he realizes it's Ari - the woman he's been in love with for the past 10 yrs but has done everything in his power to stay away from.
Ari and Marcus end up leaving the lodge and heading to his cabin for the evening for a little more private setting, when they end up getting snowed in together. Although Ari is warring with herself as to what she wants, she lets her body lead instead of her mind.
Good book with steamy scenes. Fast paced with a fairly good story line.

Marcus and Ariana have explosive chemistry. He left her ten years ago for a reason he thought was important. They run into each other at a resort and sparks fly once again. There's some mystery in there. I have never wanted to smack a guy more than I did Marcus. Definitely a good read.

This novella is an addition to the Black Brothers Trilogy but can be read as a standalone. Reading the previous three books is in my opinion not a pre-requisite to understand what's happening in this one. But it surely helps you to get the connection between some characters. I've read the trilogy and loved the books. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one!
Ariana - Ari - McKnight is an FBI agent. She has to be stong and tough all the time because of her job. She longs for a man she can surrender to and who can set her free to just feel and experience. So she decides to visit an exclusive BDSM club over the weekend in order to explore her sexuality. What she could never have expected was to meet Marcus Dunn there. The man with whom she spent 3 unforgettable months with in Italy ten years ago. The only man she ever loved and who broke her heart by leaving her without a word. Marcus is supposed to be her Dom for the night and show her around because she is new to the scene. After some hot foreplay, followed by a dispute at the club, Marcus decides to take Ari to his cabin. They both have unfinished business to discuss. A snow storm forces them to spend more time together at the cabin as planned which leads to several scorching encounters and passionate discussions. But are they really ready to let each other go after this unforgettable weekend? Is Marcus and Ariana's love truly timeless?
I loved this novella so much! It was a fast and very enjoyable read. I already fell for Marcus while reading Matchless, the second book in the Black Brothers Trilogy. I was intrigued by this character and wanted to know more about him. He is a loyal, honorable and dominant man. He is used to get everything he wants. The only thing that he can't control however is his heart when it comes to Ariana. Marcus fell in love with her many years ago. Her beauty and heart have bewitched him but he had to let her go because he couldn't give her the future she deserved. Ari is a strong, smart and independent woman. She was a very likable heroine. I loved her sassy mouth and her persistance. She knew that Marcus was the perfect man for her and she was ready to fight for him.
"I need someone who makes me want to submit to him because of the kind of man he is, who makes me yearn to give him my power because in doing so, he completes me. I need you, Marcus!"
"I love you, Ari. You are my heart and my soul and everything in between."

I wanted this story to be much, much longer!
I love this series and when I saw there was another story, well, the happy dance began! And I was not disappointed in the slightest… Well, maybe just a bit (a lot!) that it wasn’t longer than it was.
Ariana McKnight is a confident, strong and smart FBI Agent. She and her friend Tori make up two-thirds of the “bad-ass girl gang”. She’s fought long and hard to prove herself in her career and is proud of the success she’s found in it. What she wishes for though is the same success in her personal life. There’s something missing, that elusive something that has prevented her from finding a lasting, meaningful relationship.
“After eight to ten hours a day of being a bad ass, I just want someone else to take charge. Is that so wrong?”
“It’s about relinquishing control and trusting someone enough to be vulnerable with them so they can push you to experience more.”
As she takes step the find out exactly what she needs, that elusive someone walks back in her door. She has never forgotten Marcus Dunn, no matter how hard she tried. And it seems she is not alone…
Marcus is a former Navy Seal, turned lawyer, who has found equal success in his chosen profession. Seeing Ariana again has reminded him of all he walked away from, though the circumstances have changed little on why. His feelings of jealousy, irrational as they may be, have them in close quarters with no choice but to deal with each other… and their past.

“I’ll hang on to your gun until I’m sure you’re not going to shoot me in the balls...”
I loved these two characters right from the start. They are both strong yet curiously vulnerable at the same time. They see in each other the one who accepts them for who they are, quirks and all. The sexual tension is high, and when they come together, the scorching scenes had them, and me, out of breath! I love this series and when I saw there was another story, well, the happy dance began! And I was not disappointed in the slightest… Well, maybe just a bit (a lot!) that it wasn’t longer than it was.
Ariana McKnight is a confident, strong and smart FBI Agent. She and her friend Tori make up two-thirds of the “bad-ass girl gang”. She’s fought long and hard to prove herself in her career and is proud of the success she’s found in it. What she wishes for though is the same success in her personal life. I loved these two characters right from the start. They are both strong yet curiously vulnerable at the same time. They see in each other the one who accepts them for who they are, quirks and all. The sexual tension is high, and when they come together, the scorching scenes had them, and me, out of breath! Timeless by Author Brynley Bush is book 3.5 in the Black Brothers Series. It is a BDSM, erotic, and second chance love novella. I have absolutely loved this series, and Marcus’s book did not disappoint in the least bit.

Marcus Dunn always has a clear picture of what he wants and how to get it. He is a man with purpose and intention. He has never forgotten Ariana McKnight. Meeting again, these two characters fight all their natural instincts to be together, while finding many more commonalities than they considered in the past.

Ariana is looking for a weekend away to explore what she has been missing in her life. She wants something that she can't find in the years since she has been with Marcus. She is a no-nonsense FBI agent who just...

That is what this weekend at a BDSM retreat is supposed to do for her. Until she is tied up and her past comes walking in.
Marcus is a former Navy SEAL who is in town investigating a civil case. He happens to live close to the place where this retreat is happening and just happens to receive a call about a new girl who needs to be shown the ropes. Never in his wildest dreams expect to walk in and see Ari. The girl who got away with his heart all those years ago.

And he doesn't, for a snowy weekend while trapped in his cabin. He is going to show Ari the ropes all right, but then set her free just like he did ten years prior.
This was a super fast, super hot read. There was some suspense thrown in to add some excitement (of the other kind). This story flowed fast and furious and I enjoyed every minute of it. I have read the other books in the Black Brothers Trilogy and while not at all necessary, it definitely made the side characters more enjoyable because I know their stories.

Ariana decides that while love isn't ever going to be in the cards for her after a heartbreak 10 years ago, she will still have fun and attends a weekend BDSM retreat to explore her inner curiosity. At best, she will find someone to play with and to discover more about herself. Marcus, the man responsible for her heartbreak, is also in town and is a featured Dom at the club where Ariana is visiting. While he isn't going to offer any illusions of anything beyond a weekend experience to satisfy her physical needs, Marcus also never explains why he left Ari in the first place. At the same time, Ari finds herself falling deeper for the man whom she never forgot while experimenting with the Dom/Sub dynamics. There's typical BDSM elements in this story, a Dom who brooks no argument and demands 100% submission, enforces punishment and provides pleasure on a reward basis, while sharing very little of himself emotionally. I liked Ari's spirit and ability to offer her whole heart so generously. She's also intelligent and level headed. Marcus is a great guy overall, but I was definitely frustrated alongside with Ari at him for holding himself back and not being up front with her about the reason why he left her. She never got closure and he acted as though he didn't owe her any type of explanation. But the thing that I do love about second chance romances is how the characters realize how much better they are together, especially after their time apart, and how they work through those differences to be the ultimate partner for the other.

Timeless is a short but amazing read that I absolutely LOVED! Ariana McKnight hasn't been anyone in 10 years that made her as happy as Marcus Dunn. The only problem is that he broke her heart when he disappeared without a word. Marcus hasn't ever gotten over Ari, as walking away from her all those years ago was the hardest thing he had ever had to do, and he was a Navy Seal. When he runs into her handcuffed to a spanking bench, he found himself breaking the promise he made to himself ten years ago. He still can't have her but he can't stay away. Ari believes she hates him, but she can't stay away from him either, so she agrees to spend the night with him. Will they still be able to stay away from each other after this hot weekend of reconnecting?
I want to start out with my big complaint, THIS STORY IS TOO SHORT! I may or may not be willing to beg the author for more of Marcus and Ari, as I fell hard for them. The character development is extremely good for being a novella. A sexy, original, and well written story line flows very well. Brynley Bush hit the floor running, and my heart raced cover to cover while I devoured it, leaving me whining for more. Not only does it have EXPLOSIVELY HOT sexy scene goodness, but she threw in some shocking twists from left field to add a new level of intensity. I will say it again, I LOVED LOVED LOVED every minute of this story, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

If you're looking for a quick, sexy read then you can't go far wrong with this fabulous novella from Brynley Bush. It's a spin-off story from The Black Brothers Triolgy and it can easily be read as a standalone. As well as the romantic storyline there was an interesting mystery for our heroine and hero to solve which added a nice amount of suspense to the story. My only complaint is that I wish the book was a bit longer as I absolutely loved Marcus and Ariana and wanted to know even more about them and their relationship. Timeless is a great book, full of passion and emotion - five stars!

3.5 Stars. Ariana, a FBI agent has enough of her boring lifestyle and decides to go on an adventures weekend getaway were she hopes she will find what is lacking in her personal life. Arriving at the lodge she is introduced to the BDMS world from the moment she steps foot inside. It doesn’t take long for her to find someone willing to show her around only to be faced with the one person she thought she’d never see again after their romance 10 years ago. What happens next is a mixture of pleasure, suspense and drama. I’ve given this book 3.5 stars and her is why. I love the characters and I liked the story line but I just wished it didn’t feel as rushed. It starts out slow enough and you get to enjoy some rather hawt moments but at about half way through things speed up and went a bit too fast for me. All in all I did enjoy the read.

4 Sexy Stars!
This is the first book I’ve read from Brynley Bush, and I would definitely read more from her! This was a short, hot and sexy read. It had plenty of suspense, some action and definitely some drama!
I enjoyed the characters and really believed in the chemistry between them. Timeless was well written and really enjoyable. The story flowed well and moved at a great pace, keeping me turning the pages. The sexy scenes were oh, so, HOT! I really enjoyed Marcus and Ariana had me cursing a few times during their stubbornness, but hey, that’s what kept me engulfed in the story! Great book!

OMG this book is freaking amazing. If you like BDSM you will love this book. If you don't like that type of thing please find another book. Ariana is my favorite character. I like how powerful she is but how trusting she can be only with Marcus. I am surprised she gave Marcus her heart. I really hope there will be another book about this loving couple. This is the first book I have read by Brynley Bush but it won't be my last. I couldn't put it down. The characters were well developed and interesting. The story line move at a well developed pace and was realistic. One of the better BDSM books I have read. This book is a stand alone novella from the Black brother series. I have not read any of the books from the series and did not feel like I was missing anything. I plan to go read the books from the series. Definitely worth the read.
