Vince Harper is the ideal husband; he showers his wife, Rozalla with love, commitment, and protection, qualities every woman wants from her man.
Heather Ramos is Rozalla's deceitful, conniving friend. She worms her way into Rozalla's life with less than honorable intentions. Heather quickly convinces Rozalla that Vince is not only a poor provider; she coerces Rozalla into believing he's no longer manly enough to fulfill her desires. Heather's overpowering influence causes Rozalla to belittle and berate Vince, telling him she's no longer satisfied with the life that they've built. Rejecting his valiant efforts to please her, she yells a heartbreaking response. Rozalla awakens the next morning to find that her caustic wish has indeed come true, and she is face-to-face with the opportunity to live the life she thought she wanted.
Harrison Payne is sexy, tempting, and seems to possess all the qualities Rozalla has been longing for. His passion, persistence, and generosity make him the perfect man to fill the newly opened position in her heart. Maybe even a little too perfect. In this dramatic and sexy novel, you'll instantly become engrossed in a tale of greed, love, and lust. They say be careful what you ask for. Find out what happens when Rozalla determines that the grass really isn't greener on the other side.
Having fallen in love with literature at an early age, it only made sense for Stacey Covington-Lee to seek a career that would allow her to combine her passion for writing and her Journalism education from Savannah State. During her lengthy career in the insurance industry as an Instructional and PC Trainer, Stacey wrote and developed multiple training guides and manuals for both insurance companies and local government.
It was at the encouragement of a dear friend that Stacey wrote and released her first novel, The Knife In My Back. Continuing her exploration of love, friendship, and betrayal, she has since given us The Knife In My Back 2, Bitter Taste Of Love, Hate The Way He Loves Me, and her much anticipated, When Love Ain't Enough. She is also passionate about and continues to raise social consciousness about sickle cell disease and domestic violence through her writing and speaking engagements.
Stacey is an Atlanta native and has found great enjoyment in visiting book clubs and speaking at various events throughout the country. She loves hearing from readers and invites everyone to follow her on Twitter (@covingtonlee) as well as Facebook(www.facebook.com/staceycovington-lee), and IG (scovingtonlee).
“When Love Ain’t Enough” by Stacey Covington-Lee, was an intriguing read with a surprising and twisting plot that had the reader viewing the storyline one way but in a real sense it was something totally different. The propelling story was about a married couple that have been married for quite some time and during the latter part of their marriage starts to experience trials and tribulations due to greed, lust, obsession and betrayal. The book expressed the acts and responses of this couple in both positive and negative ways throughout the story with the understanding that love, loyalty and family will supersede it all in the end. Although some of the scenes at times were a bit far-fetched; there was plenty of drama and dialogue to keep the reader interested. When is love not enough? This is a question that the author instills within the reader throughout the book with the observation that love shouldn’t be taken for granted. I give this book 4.5 stars based on The Regal Sisterhood Book Club Book Review Standards.

Book Presentation
Score: 1
Comment: The book overall presentation was good. The book title, cover and synopsis provides intensity and anxiety that makes the reader want to start reading the book immediately and not put it down until it is completed. This book would be one that can be purchased and possibly shared with family and friends whether in a committed relationship married or dating.
Character Development
Score: .5
Comment: Each character played a major role in this couple’s relationship whether positively or negatively. There were characters within the storyline that were created to be quite harsh and cruel, which created some doubts about whether this is believable or not. I often wonder do people of today’s culture really go to this extreme to make sure people are just as miserable as they are.
Storyline
Score: 1
The author storyline overall was good and easy to follow. In reading a good portion of the beginning plots of the book and getting into immensely having to realize midstream that it was just a bad dream due to actions and reactions that had taken place early on was a little disappointing. It was a narrative that provided relatable issues to today’s married couples in helping them believe and understand that this can really happen. The overall storyline provides good insight on couples not taking each other for granted.
Setting
Score: 1
The author provided detailed descriptions about the setting of the story making the reader feel that you were experiencing this journey during the present times. Referencing good food that was prepared and served as well as music themes that were being played during certain times of the storyline.
Book Editing
Score: 1
In reading the book, although very minor there were no real noticeable errors. The chapters were simple and not too short nor too long which provided a good flow for the book.
Book Review of Stacey Covington-lee, “When Love Aint Enough” ‘When Love Aint Enough’ was scheduled for Southside Book and Writers Club, April review. However, the book club had an opportunity to do an event together. Of course, you know that we all chose the event. But we did not forget about our book of the month. Each member will do their own review and post it on a social media platform for the author. 3 stars What happens when you think that your relationship, marriage is okay? You go about your day, thinking that all is well. Then out of the blue; your spouse starts to act disrespectful, spiteful, and verbally abusive. Heck they get to the point, where they don’t appreciate a damn thing that you do. Well, this happened to poor Vince. Vince, husband to Rozalla realized after 20 plus years of marriage. that he was not enough for his so-called loving wife. This type of stuff does happen for real. I liked that the other used a woman for the ungrateful spouse. Most of the time the man is portrayed; as the cheater, abuser, manipulator, etc. So this was refreshing to read that the woman was the ungrateful piece of dodo in this story. Men and women both feel that they are/need to upgrade at times. In Rozalla’s case; she let the opinion of another woman influence how she should treat her husband. I did not like this Heather character, but lord knows. There are a lot of those creatures out there. They are miserable and want the world to be unhappy with them. Rozallas’ character is one that I would use to teach my daughters, what a woman should not be! I felt that she did not know herself or what she wanted for that matter. It was too easy for Heather to come in and influence her. I felt that the story did not really touch on, why Rozalla felt the way she did after so many years of marriage. Sooo… Rozalla wakes from a dream and realizes that Vince is still the love of her life, that she should treat him better, and she wants her marriage to work. Now she has all of these regrets, really! When Vince finally left, I cheered. Yeah, they got back together lol. The way of romance! I was glad that he left, and showed Rozalla that he did not have to stay and put up with her craziness anymore. This book is more than just Vince and Rozalla’s relationship. Their relationship affected everyone around them. Their kids, family and their friends. You saw how the mistreatment, manipulation of a person, caused hatred and distrust around them. This was a decent read. I gave it three stars because I did get confused about the past and present when Rozalla was dreaming and then woke up.
First off Goodreads says that this book is 146 pages...WRONG! My edition was over 200 pages. I started this book on a Thursday and didn't pick it back up until now. (Tuesday) I must say this was a very good read. The author kept me on the edge until the very end. The ending was very unexpected. I hate that I didn't save this book for a bookclub discussion.
I am so confused and I just couldn't get through the book once Vince was brought back in the story as if he had not died. I thought it was a dream Roz was having until Carmen and Lisa had conversations with him...I thought he died. Well I will never know because I ran into a lack of interest...
This book was sooo good! At first my thoughts were, I have no sympathy at all for Rozalla. I was hoping she was dreaming and would wake up scared out of her mind and treat her husband like a king instead of the abusive person she was. I didn’t expect the story to take a turn like this.
I loved this book I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm glad I read it. This was one of the most exciting books you have a new fan I look forward to reading more of your books.
This book started out to be very interesting action takes place at the beginning! And then it gets better with hot dates, crazy dates, and then it all becomes just a dream. I would say if you like drama with a twist of crazy then this is the book to read.!
This book was a page turner for sure. Had me on the edge of all seats lol! It was an unexpected, plot twisting, exciting story. And it's crazy how Carmen's injuries were somewhat similar to Roz's in her dream!
An on the edge of your seat page turner that will make you hot with anger only to hit you with a MASSIVE unexpected surprise that shows the depth of Ms Lee's writing skills...IMPRESSIVE!
I didn't expect things to happen the way they did. Roz learned a lesson, Heather should have been dropped as a friend in the beginning and Pauletta was nuts!
Loved this story. It was exciting and definitely a page turner. Roz really had me in my feelings, then she woke up and realized she was dreaming, and the real story began.
This was a fast read I was shocked from the beginning to the end of this book. I disliked heather, it was just shocking to me that it was all a dream but I did not like the ending I was shocked
