This details the end of the "war" that was set up in the previous half volume.

I still think the "romance" was a bit poorly developed, but maybe that's just because they didn't show us all of our hero's scenes, just some of the more vital battle scenes and important moments.

I'm curious what the connection between the princess and Harumi is. Is that her after traveling a long distance (and somehow her hair turning dark?). Also, it's pretty clear they just kicked a problem of this volume down the line that will show up again later. It kind of reminds me of Chrono Trigger and how a Villain "lost" there, but the problem got kicked down the line to Chrono Cross where the villain reappears and creates some turmoil.

The finale of the Silver Princess and the Blue Knight arc/play, and it was quite emotional. It was a great read, and the only problem I have with the arc as a whole is that there was no tension at all during the fight, mostly due to the author dumbing down the intelligence of the characters too much, making the obvious reveal like it was a shocking one, and it just detached me from the characters and the situations they are in.

Plainly put, the whole "Blue Knight" saga is just Takehaya having fun with the idea of writing a fantasy story. Something that I can only describe as LoTR-esque with all the mind numbing romance of typical light novels of this era. The former makes some sense, Takehaya has expressed his interest in some other adjacent blockbuster films lol

I'm not completely sold on the entire concept of this series but I found myself just wanting to get back to room 106.

Invaders Of The Rokujouma vol 8.5:
Ever since vol 7, I had waited for the ending of this volume and I'm happy to say it was everything I expected and even more. The ending especially was incredible.
I can't believe how great Takehaya is at writing fantasy.
