I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Carol was abandoned at an orphanage as a baby, with only a postcard from West Yellowstone. Carol lives in New York and when jogging in central park is mugged. Then something strange happens to Carol, she turns into a bear. This has never happened before and Carol isn't sure how to control it so she follows the only clue she has to find answers about who and what she is- she goes to West Yellowstone to try and find her mother. After checking in at the Curvy Bear B&B she meets Hank Grant. Hank and his brothers are all bear shifters and Hank volunteers to help Carol with her search. They get lucky (kind of) when a man spots her and comments about a woman named Victoria Fuller that Carol reminds him of. Carol doesn't get the fairy tale welcome she's hoped for upon meeting her mother. But she is determined to try to get to know her. At the same time Carol is trying to get involved in her mom's life she is developing feelings for Hank. The two get close as Carl's mom gets into some trouble. And just like the last book there is a quickie wedding. This was a great book, I'm looking forward to the next one.

A killers moral dilemma It always surprises me when I read through reviews that there can be such a difference of opinion between reviewers who find the story fascinating and unputdownable whilst others struggle to finish.
Now I did not struggle to finish Nausea, and I really did want to like this short novel. I enjoyed the premise a hitman questioning the reasoning behind his chosen profession...”I do a job, fine, it’s good. Somebody disappears and I get paid”
The real problem I had with the story was the timeline. We meet Nick after a particular bloody kill and we are introduced to the young Nick at the start of his “career” A lot of reviews are positive in respect of this, I however found it very confusing and had to constantly backtrack on the text to remind myself where exactly I was....past or present?
As one kill merges into another the moral deep within the story and the questions that Nick needs to ask keep recurring...”The doubt. The overthinking. What was the point in it all? It wouldn’t bring any of them back. And it wouldn’t stop anyone else from getting what was coming to them, either. Even if Nick bowed out straightaway, vanished into the night never to be heard from again, there was always going to be someone else....”
A hitman is a great subject to have at the centre of a moral dilemma as to fulfil his role he must be divorced from the normal rules that govern society and yet possess single mindedness, inner strength and cunning. It is only when these qualities disappear that the human frailty present within Nick begins to emerge and reassert itself...”Murder. That was the stuff of human instinct, wasn’t it? Kill and f**k and eat and s**t and see who’s standing atop the mountain of cadavers come dusk, dripping blood and screaming victorious....”
There were of course enjoyable moments and characters in the course of this “noir” telling: Nick is enamoured with the music of Nat King Cole....”and on the same night he’s asked to kill a dude called Nathan K. Cole” I also admired the puzzling character of sweet Lorraine and her connection to the killers clients, her psychotic behaviour made an interesting paradoxical to the morally adrift Nick
The few highlights could not however rescue the confusion I felt throughout. I had very little sympathy with the main character, and the ending when it occurred was totally justified.

I am in love with The Grant brothers. The characters are amazing, thoughtful, powerful, exhilarating and lovable. The storyline is fascinating, humorous, realistic and full of surprises. I am a fan for life. I love reading Liv Brywood and she has become one of my favorite authors. This Christmas series has been just what I needed to get into the spirit of this Christmas. In this storyline you get to be reacquainted with all the awesome characters of the series and they are all amazing, powerful, exhilarating and full of surprises. All I can say is Liv Brywood has hit the nail on its head again with book 4 of her Sexy Cowbear's series.

Now she needs to ask her mother some questions. But to find her mother the only thing she has to go by is an old post card that was left with her the day her mother left her on the steps of the orphanage. So she start where the card originated from West Yellowstone, Montana. So she makes a reservation to the Curvy Bear Ranch in West Yellowstone, Montana. But what she finds along with her mother is her mate.
Hank Grant is the 4th Werebear out of six handsome, sexy Grant Brothers that run the Curvy Bear Ranch. When Hank meets Carol he feels he must help and protect her, but His bear knows she is their mate. Hank and Carol's story is heartwarming with some scorching hot scenes. The characters are lovable, engaging and sweet. The story flows at a good pace and is well written.
This is a SPECTACULAR Read! This story will give you a feeling of happiness and If you love shifter romance this is definitely a fabulous choice for your TBR list.
If you believe in the world of shifters the possibilities are endless and fascinating.
I highly recommend this book!

This was a really sweet Christmas story, with a side of naughty. It's the fourth book in this series and was really enjoyable. This book had lots of emotional ups and downs but had a cheerful ending. However I did feel that their relationship, from where they start having a physical relationship to the marriage proposal, was a just a little rushed. But overall a sweet Christmas read!

Carol is an orphan, who doesn't realize she's also a bear shifter. That is until she's attacked in Central Park & turns the tables on her attacker. She was left with only one clue as to her roots. A postcard from Yellowstone. She comes to West Yellowstone & meets Hank.
This is a pretty good story. Things are wrapped up rather too easily, but that's usually the way. There are 2 brothers left.

I really enjoyed this entry in the series. Life has bumps in the road and finding a mate to help navigate the way helped Carol navigate the road. An uplifting Christmas story.

Carol was left at an orphanage in New York when she was a baby with nothing but a postcard from West Yellowstone. Years later, after almost being attacked walking home one night, she suddenly shifts into a bear. Realizing she needs answers, she travels to Montana to see if she can find her birth mother or some answers. Staying at the Curvy Bear Ranch, she meets Hank. Hank immediately feels a connection to Carol, but he doesn't know she's a bear shifter. As Hank tries to help Carol find her mom, they learn more about each other and insta-love! This was a cute and sexy story, but there were a lot of unanswered questions and everything was crammed into a short time frame.

Carol is a lot stronger than what she gave herself credit for.
Never having anyone to love her growing up she is not sure how to love herself or love anyone else.
Hank cares hard and loves hard and he plans on proving that to Carol.

another bites the dust
So cute! After a violent shift for the first time, Carol is in a quest to find her birth mother and find out about being a bear when she meets Hank one of 6 brothers who work a ranch. Finding her mother was the priority even if their libido’s set the stage for love.

This is a sweet easy to read series. It does touch on sensitive subjects, but in a positive way. The characters are likable, and the storylines are engaging. Throw in a few hot steamy sex scenes and you have a fun series.

Hawk and Carol get their story. Hawk is not looking for a mate but seeing his brothers mated is starting to make him think, than in the future it might be something to pursuit and in walks Carol.
Carol grew up in an orphanage and never tried to find who abandoned her, until and incidents requires her to try and find out and there she goes to Montana to find out answers and maybe more that she bargained for.
Great quick paranormal story with updates in the previous stories here and there. A nice series to enjoy.

I really love and truly enjoy reading this series. It just makes me smile. I like the way this author writes. The storyline just flows, and it is so easy to get caught up in the story, until the very last page, and sigh saying WoW, she rocked this book!

My favorite in this series so far...
Carol needs answers so she travels to a place she's never been before to follow a vague clue in the hope of learning who she is. The attraction she feels to Hank, and he to her, grows over time and with his spending time and being there for her.
As someone who has been adopted and helped victims of abuse I felt that the author really nailed the feeling of an adopted person and the psychology of a women who's a victim of domestic violence. If she didn't the story wouldn't have been as thoroughly enjoyable as it was.

Carol is an intense character you cant help but feel for her she hasn't had the easiest of lives and then too discover something even bigger than being adopted its kinda the icing on the cake so she goes on her adventure and finds something much more than her mum she finds her mate Hank . Carol has a lot of guts and gumption especially when she finds her mum.... poor Carol.
Hank is Hot as hades bear shifter and yes as you probably no by know he is a cowboy as well..... Carol doesn't stand a chance when hank and his bear set there eyes on her. Hank is a great character very protective very helpfully and yes great in the sack. Of course as any any man or woman we have our faults but no ones perfect right? I adore Hank I just love every inch of him and every single page of this book.
I cannot wait for more from this series I seriously wish it could go on forever.... I want me a hot Cowbear now please Miss Brywood......

Carol is an intense character you cant help but feel for her she hasn't had the easiest of lives and then too discover something even bigger than being adopted its kinda the icing on the cake so she goes on her adventure and finds something much more than her mum she finds her mate Hank . Carol has a lot of guts and gumption especially when she finds her mum.... poor Carol.
Hank is Hot as hades bear shifter and yes as you probably no by know he is a cowboy as well..... Carol doesn't stand a chance when hank and his bear set there eyes on her. Hank is a great character very protective very helpfully and yes great in the sack. Of course as any any man or woman we have our faults but no ones perfect right? I adore Hank I just love every inch of him and every single page of this book.
I cannot wait for more from this series I seriously wish it could go on forever.... I want me a hot Cowbear now please Miss Brywood......
This book is a page turner you get everything and more that you want.

I received this for an honest review. This makes the second book I have read of Liv Brywood. I love this series. I still need to go back and read book one and two in this series. If they are anything like book three and four I know they will good. This book is a standalone as you probably already guessed.
Carol was this beautiful curvy woman. My heart really broke for her. She was had spent her whole life alone, no one to really care or love her. Her mother had abandon her when she was born. Pretty much just threw her away. Left her on a door step of a orphanage in New York.
There is something that happens to Carol that throws her in shock and leaves her with a whole lot of unanswered questions. She needs to find her birth mother to find out more about what is going on. All she has is a post card that was left with her as a baby that has Yellowstone National Park on it. Not much to go on but she needs answers.
Hank Grant was this handsome bear shifter. He could not keep his eyes off the curvy bombshell that walked in the B&B. He finds himself waring with his bear, his bear is dying to claim her. He finds himself wanting to do anything to help her out.
Fate has a funny way of bring two mates together. Hank will have to figure out a way to tell Carol that he is a shifter. He is uncertain of how she will take the news and if he can convince her to stay.
On the search for Carol’s mom they find danger along the way. Hanks finds the strong need of wanting to protect her. Carol journey on finding more about who she is and finding her mom is very painful and very dangerous. Carol will find she needs the protections and strength that only her fated mate can give.
This is a very heart touching story. You will find you want to jump in the story and protect Carol yourself. Some times it is not the physical danger that is the worst. Don’t worry this is a HEA story, but that does not mean you will not shed a few tears.

Reading Shifters Love Stories at Christmas always gets me in the spirit, add a little Christmas Music in the factor and oh yes I'm jolly. It seems that Ms. Brywood has the handle on Christmas down pat at the Curvy Bear Ranch with the Grant Boy's in West Yellowstone. In Book 1 we read about Brady Grant, than Book 2 was Mack Grant, In Book 3 was all about Logan Grant. But now in Book 4 were reading about Hank Grant. This series is absolutely phenomenal the family ties, helping others in need, the love of a family who sticks together to make it work.
Carol was left at the orphanage when she was a couple months old with the clothes on her back and a post card from West Yellowstone. She had pushed it aside in her mind, they didn't want her why should she care. When an incident happened she knew without a doubt she needed to try to find her birth mother.
Hank Grant took one look at Carol he knew he wanted her, his bear wanted her too. She was a guest at the Bed and Breakfast that the Grant's ran so Hank knew he should play with the guests. This is a great book and an even better series. You just have to read it and see. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

The heroine was stupid when she needed to be smart, whiny when bravery was needed and the rest of the time she was stupid, whiny AND needy. She was constantly crying, I felt bad for poor Hank getting stuck with her for a fated mated. Not once did she ask her mother about being bear, which was what got her to start searching for her in the first place!
Once again in this series there's medical magic. A character has a broken arm, ribs & pelvis and is able to leave the hospital in just days. Hours after leaving the hospital they're planning on a cookies & milk Christmas Eve kids party that night and are sure she'll enjoy it. Before making it home they stopped at the mall, cause what everyone just out of the hospital with multiple broken bones wants to do is go shopping. *eye roll* Let's not forget her 'strolling' through the when she gets there, or the running outside to punch someone several times, OR the walking up and down stairs repeatedly. This is the third character in this series that has been seriously injured or dying in the hospital that has magically healed in just a day or two and all is well.
If you want to write a story where someone is hurt you need to figure out how to make that injury or illness work for the rest of the story. To just make the problem disappear is simply lazy and annoying as all get out!

Awww! Another wonderful tale from Liv that's sure to not disappoint. Hank has been overwhelmed by all the love that has finally found his family, with three of his brothers either married or engaged in the past couple of months. He's starting to wonder if he will ever find his fated mate. Will he forever have to live alone? Curvy Carol, abandoned at birth, left on the doorsteps of an orphanage in New York with only a postcard with the words "take care of the girl" written on it, has a need to find her birth mother after an incident that happened when she was mugged in central park. She's desperate, and with only the postcard to go on, is off to Montana and North Yellowstone to see if, for once in her life, fate will be on her side. Almost upon arrival at the Curvy Bear Ranch, she knows that her life is about to change...or at least her inner self knows.
Liv has once again given us plenty of action, a bit of intrigue, lots of steamy sexy scenes, and an abundance of love, as only a clan of bears and their loved ones can give. A wonderful read that will have you wiping your eyes from time to time, and your heart swelling with the holiday cheer. A must read.
