One simple request…

What would it be like to see the person you still had feelings for? How would you cope with not being an us?

Working separately during the day and then spending their nights in close quarters, each of them wonder if they could be a couple again. Before that can happen, however, they need to examine how they fell apart so easily, and if they can truly have a second chance at love.

Brandy is an American romance author who dipped her toe into the writing world in 2013. With over twenty books to her name, she discovered along the way that she was enamored with shifters, magic, and all of the creatures she could dream up at night. She also writes contemporary romances inspired by her love of coffee and her husband's lifelong career in the Army jumping out of airplanes.

Brandy is a Navy brat, prior enlisted Army, Army wife, and mom. She lives in Washington with her husband of 25 years, two of their three kids, along with her daughter's guinea pigs (they really weren't interested in college). She's addicted to MDK shows on Discovery ID and who-done-its. You'll almost never see her without some type of skull paraphernalia on and is always dreaming of more tattoos.

Because of a simple request, Park Ranger Mace Seneca left Astronomer Piper Whitney standing in the cold and now the Gods have dipped their hands in, made a few slight changes and set them both on a course that has them dreading and anticipating a chance of repeating the past in this spirited paranormal romance.

Working separately during the day and spending their nights in close quarters has Piper and Mace wondering if things between them could be different and the reader can’t help but get pulled into the story as these strong, captivating characters demand attention as they struggle to let go of the past and reach for the future by overcoming past issues and emotional turmoil. The plot is well written, fast paced and flows smoothly with suspense, romance, some chuckles to lighten things up and sizzling chemistry adding spice with some hot and steamy sex scenes.

I was completely caught up in this second chance at love romance and Chloe is really getting close to winning that bet even though Zeus added a bit of tension to the situation and I can’t wait to read the next one and find out what happens next in this delightful series.

What you’ll find in this story; a cast of characters the are impressive and engaging, fabulous story-line, vivid scene descriptions, heart-rending flashbacks, steamy romance, and a heart-melting conclusion that leaves you wanting more.

Eros gives Chloe the challenging job of getting Piper and Mace back together after being broken up for almost a year. The hardest job is to get them together in the same place. Chloe secretly asks for assistance to bring them together to work. Mace has a plan that he hopes will bring the love of his life back into his arms as she never did leave his heart.

FANTASTIC well written ready by a truly gifted author. I loved this story, a most delightful read. A story about letting go of your pride and admitting your mistakes. Second chance romances are wondrous when the chemistry is just perfectly filled with devotion, communication, and the simple things that make you smile. The characters in this story are more than convincing and spring to life with the fabulous story-line and scene descriptions. If you treasure fantasy romance this is a terrific book for your library. {I received a copy of this book for a completely honest review}. The possibilities in fantasy romance are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I recommend this book.

I love this loosely connected series. I think Mace may be my favorite to date. Eros feels like Chloe has had it too easy to date and needs a challenge. Getting Mace and Piper back together will be a real challenge.
Park Ranger Mace is a First Nations Mystic. Piper is a human Astronomer. After dating for five months Mace pulled a real asshole move and ditched Piper by the side of the road at night. He has missed her ever since but male pride and stupidity have kept him from trying to get her back. Now a year later she has been dropped into his care while she recovers a meteorite that has fallen in his park. The forced closeness gives them time to examine what they had and gives Mace time to grovel. Can Piper forgive him? Can they start anew? This book is less about the Mystic and the flash boom of new love and more about what it takes to have lasting love. Seeing the characters grow is sweet and painful and fun.

Second Chance provided by the interference of the gods.

Mace Seneca works for the park service on Blake Island in the Pacific Northwest. When a meteorite lands on the island Piper Whitney astronomer is sent to recover it. These two broke up about a year ago over a misunderstanding and a poor decision by Mace.

The gods interfered to bring these two back together and we have a sweet story about these two working in remote close quarters with each other. Mace knows Piper is cute, sexy and smart and he wants her back. Getting to the bottom of what went wrong in the first place and determining whether they can get beyond it is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Mace is the 11th book in the Mystic Zodiac series. This is one of my favorite series. Each story can be a stand-alone but all fit into the bigger picture, a bet between Eros (Cupid) and Chloe (A Fate). Mace is a spirit warrior. This is a sweet, quick read that doesn’t focus much on the mystic or paranormal but on a second chance for love. A meteorite brings Mace and Piper together, time to see if a second chance is worth the fight. I enjoyed the story and found the characters strong. Another great story by Brandy Walker!

I am not a big "second chance" fan, I tend to hold a grudge like no other. That said this is a sweet story that was well put together and didn't make me want to throw it across the room. For a second chance story I felt this was well thought out and Mace was a hero who understood where he made his mistakes. Piper is a strong woman, which is good, and I like that she takes time to think things thru. Good Story!!

I have to admit that I haven't read the first 10 books in this series before reading this one. I did learn that I will indeed be reading them soon!! This was a wonderful story about a couple that broke up over some ridiculous misunderstand and "fate" has brought them together again, this time for good. Loved it!!

This story was different from the others in this series. Mace and Piper's story was a little more sweet though it still brought the sexy. I can't wait for the last book of this series, but at the same time I'm sad to see it end.

This one had a different feel to it then the other books in the series. There wasn't really a lot of paranormal/fantasy element to it as the others have had. It's a great book and I highly enjoyed it, but it's not my favorite in the series. Second chance love is one of my favorites. One mistake can change your life and Mace realizes that when he decided to walk away from Piper a year ago. Now Chloe is tasked with bringing her eleventh couple together. Piper and Mace are her unknowing couple. You can feel the anxiety each feels with as the minutes get closer to seeing one another after a year, but then that spark that was there so long ago flares right up. Can Mace make it up to Piper to get a second chance or has his year silence just too much for Piper to forgive? One of my favorite scenes is in the tent when Piper gets cold and wants secretly make her way over to share Mace's body heat.
