This story was decent. A different take on the shifter genre of which I'm well acquainted. The setting was an alternate universe with magical werewolves but it had a very contemporary feel in the language and writing. I did like a fair amount of what I read, but the book often contradicted itself and its actions. One of the MCs would say something and then immediately say something that was the opposite of what had just been stated, it was sloppy writing but it didn't bother me too much. I do like the idea of a lone wolf being rescued and given a better life and Rage is the quintessential hero of the story. I think the world's building was spotty, sometimes good but often times skipping over things I felt needed to be addressed. I think I wouldn't mind more stories in this universe if the author decides to continue this and maybe check it out, but I do hope she tightens up her writing a little bit, because I think there's a good idea here, just needs a little work.

I wrote a review. GR ate it.

This is a slightly different take on shifters. I couldn't figure out the setting time period. Medieval? Alternative universe medieval? Neither? I'm not sure.

I liked the characters. The mpreg is vague at best but there is a sweet HEA.

I would only recommend this one to pnr/shifter/mates/mpreg fans. I don't know if it would work for the occasional PNR reader.
