Outcasts, black sheep, those who never fit in anywhere. Winter’s Wrath belongs to them. Every single member of the band rejects the norm when it comes to music.

They won’t settle when it comes to love.

Alder Trousseau, the lead guitarist in a band that owns his heart and soul, has always stood in the shadow of a man he hates. Braver “Brave” Trousseau, the voice of Winter’s Wrath.

For the success of the band, they have to work past their animosity, but that’s difficult when they have the same taste in women. And men.

Sex is a game to Brave. A game that might leave the people Alder cares for completely broken. Unless he claims them for his own.

If he steps out of the shadows, he’ll have no choice to play. To win.

On stage, the drama drives the fans insane. The songs they sing are a blood racing, body moving, warcry. But the very real battle taking place between the snares and the mic might tear the band apart.

Tell you about me? Hmm, well there's not much to say. I love hockey and cars and my kids…not in that order of course! Lol! When I'm not writing—which isn't often—I'm usually watching a game or a car show while working on promo. Going out with my kids is my only down time. I get to clear my head and forget everything.

As for when and why I first started writing, I guess I thought I'd get extra cookies if I was quiet for awhile—that's how young I was. I used to bring my grandmother barely legible pages filled with tales of evil unicorns. She told me then that I would be a famous author.

I hope one day to prove her right.

Crazy but super steamy MMF romance!

A heavy metal band full of bisexual men. It could happen right? The band members get with all the groupies, but sometimes they get with the roadies and each other. Danica is a model and former child star with a squeaky clean image who needs to be seen as an adult so her agent sets her up to be seen with the band to dirty her image a bit.

Alder is the lead guitarist for the band and he is in love with head roadie Jesse. Brave, the singer and Alder’s brother does everything he can to push Alder away, including getting into a relationship with Jesse. When Alder and Danica meet, they are immediately attracted to each other. Danica joins the tour and things get crazy from there.

Jesse stood, holding his hands out in front of him like he wanted no part of whatever Alder thought was going on. “Not planning anything. Just crazy talk. And when did you get so quiet, man? You should really stomp a little when people are talking about you behind your back.”

This is pretty good for a rock star romance. It has animosity between band members, family secrets, stalkers, love triangles, sizzling intimate scenes and more. I give this one a heat index of five out of five flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and I purchased the entire trilogy because I liked it so much.

5 Star Review of Backlash (Winter’s Wrath #1) by Bianca Sommerland

This is book one of her highly anticipated new series and I couldn’t wait to read it. This is Alder Trousseau and Danica Tallien story.

The complexities revealed as I read further and further, nearly did me in. To say this book is like an onion is an understatement. Bianca Sommerland peels the layers off these characters one by one.

There are so many issues impacting all of the band members, not the least of which is the relationship between Alder and his brother and band member Braver “Brave” Trousseau. The animosity between these two was intense and since they are brothers heartbreaking.

There were instances where I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I laughed, I smiled, I was concerned and at times I wanted to smack them all across the head and yell at them to wake up.

All in all, this booked evoked so many different emotions in me that I wasn’t sure whether I was up or down; it was like riding a roller-coaster continuously.

Can the band survive or will they be torn apart? You will need to read to find out...

I cannot recommend this book more highly. Take a chance; I know you won’t be disappointed.

I have been a fan of Bianca Sommerland's work for some time. I love her Dartmouth Cobras series.

I wasn't sure how the whole rock star group would pan out for me, but is Definitely a 5 star story. Adler and Brave are brothers, but you wouldn't think so dealing with them. Brave is what you would consider you typical conceded rock star. He decides everything, he is the main guy, etc. Adler is complete opposite. He wants to play music and be there for the band and his fans.

Danica is an up and coming model/actress who is sent by her manager to Vegas to attend a rock concert and "be seen" to improve her exposure. Before she gets there she runs into a guy outside a nail salon who is having an issue going inside to get the paint put on his nails. She comes to his rescue and then runs into Alder at the band's after party. Danica signs on with the band for the next 30 days. Her and Alder become an item, but something or someone is missing. Adler is also in love with his best friend, who happens to be sleeping with his brother. Mix in a stalker and you have for a great book.

It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for Winter's Wrath.

I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Woohoo Amazing!!

This book has everything a reader wants in a Rocker book. Sexy moody alphas, laugh out loud moments, stalkers, drugs, and off the hook sexy AF sex scenes. I mean the sex scenes were freaking hot!!! Loved each of the cast of characters and each for different reasons.
We have a sexy model\actress, a sexy rocker getting together for publicity and recognition that oh "gasp" turns to love. We even have a roadie\security guy added to the mix. I did say a sex scene that is off the hook right?? Well guess what not going to give it all away so you as a reader really have got to READ THIS abso-ftreaking-lutely brilliant BOOK!!
I just want to give a huge thanks to my good friend Kathy A. For suggesting this book it kept this avid reader entertained. And thanks to this author for writing it, so Thank you Bianca. This was my first book by this author and can't wait to check out more from her.

Ok so the first thing….why do I never run across something like these guys when I go to Wal-Mart. I might not loathe going as much if something like running into these guys ever happened. lol!

I was really sucked into the dynamic with all the guys in the first chapter. The brothers animosity with each other, especially about Jesse, and Tate being…well Tate. I have to admit I wasn’t really feeling Danica at first, I don’t know something about her just didn’t connect with me. I couldn’t really say exactly what it was, it just was….but I’m thinking it was being put off by doing what her agent wanted her to do. So when Danica and Alder met up again, she redeemed herself immediately with their conversation, especially at the beginning when she put Brave in his place. That moment had me back on board with her immediately. But telling Alder everything scored really high with me.

One thing I already figured was that this lifestyle of any kind of fame had to suck in a lot of ways and it didn’t take long to see that, yeah it wouldn’t be for me…ever. I wasn’t crazy about the arrangement that Cole and Sophie came up with for Danica. I don’t know it just seemed like selling yourself out a bit to me. It worked out great but for a minute there I saw bad things after what went down in that first audition. However even though I wanted to slap Jesse and Danica for being too nice to Brave, it did end up working out well.

Honestly this book had me all over the place. At times I wanted Alder and Danica to just run off together and say to hell with all of them, at times I wanted Alder and Jesse exclusive because they should have already had that chance, then I wanted them all 3 together, and at times I actually felt for Brave. But feeling for Brave was usually short lived and I wanted to junk punch him again. Brave did however finally get his shit together, he had to hit his lowest point with everyone but he finally did get it together. Oh and one thing that never changed I hated Cole, what an asshole. I kind of suspected he might have something to do with Brave’s issue but I figured it was just me hating him, apparently he was just that big of an asshole.

Anyway I could go on and on but I won’t because well that would tell you too much. I loved all of these guys by the end…the band members, the roadies, Danica, and hell even Sophie, who didn’t give me a great first impression, proved she cared about Danica more than money and fame. By the end you knew that they would all work through anything even with the struggles that the touring and their careers would no doubt continue to throw at them.

I think the best part was seeing Alder find himself through the troubles with Brave and having the most worthless parents, ever. It was also nice to see them all come together and be happy even during the craziness that surrounds them at times. I don’t know if Alder, Jesse, and Danica can be topped since they are so awesome but I will certainly be anxiously awaiting more about the rest of the band. All of these guys deserve what these 3 found. And yes that includes Brave, I got over wanting to junk punch him by the end.

So much more than a romance novel! This isn't a story about a couple who falls in love, it's about a family, in the form of a metal band, finding their way back from being lost. They're already on their way down when the book starts, but then they hit rock bottom. Family and personal conflicts from the past and the present have taken their toll on everyone until their already fragile bonds to each other shatter and break. There's so many twists and turns in the plot that I don't want to give anything away. Let's just say that nothing turned out as I had originally thought they would.
Each character is complex and plays an integral role in the story. Brave is the lead singer of Winter's Wrath. He's one of those people who covers their own pain by causing as much of it in others as he can. He hurts every single member of the band at one point or another.
Alder is Brave's younger brother. Brave takes every chance he gets to put him down and make him feel worthless, as a band member and as a brother. Alder tries to be the peacemaker of the group but in the process he never gets to make his own wants and needs heard.
Jesse is a roadie who is an all around great guy. He's secretly in love with Alder but would never risk their friendship by acting on it. Instead, he thinks he loves Brave and tries to have a relationship with him. That's a disaster in the making, just wait and see. Brave uses Jesse like a doormat and Jesse lets him, thinking he's doing what Brave needs.
Danika is a model whose career intersects with the band's and she goes on tour with them. Alder and her are in the very beginning of a relationship that will be tested by living on a bus with the band. Especially since Brave is so determined not to let Alder have anything good in his life. My initial impression of Danika as someone who cared more for her career than anything else wasn't fair. She surprised me.
There are other important characters too, but it would take way too long to do a list and explanation of how they relate to the band and its history. It's Braves behavior that brings troubles to a head and the rest of the characters have to decide how they'll deal with it. Will they let him break them, like he always has? Or will they use the experience to grow as individuals, as lovers and as a band?
I loved this book and will definitely read more about Winter's Wrath when it comes!

Bianca Sommerland is one of those authors that I will one-click before I even know what the book is about. I love her writing style, and her stories pull me in with the depth of her characters and the camaraderie that her boys always seem to have. Backlash was no exception and I did a little happy dance when I saw it appear on my kindle!

As a die-hard Dartmouth Cobra’s fan that fell hard into the world of her professional hockey team, I was dying to read Ms. Sommerland’s foray into the world of heavy metal rock stars. I assumed that basically this was going to be her Cobra’s series, just on tour, but I soon found that I was wrong. The members of Winter’s Wrath were a brotherhood (albeit a dysfunctional one), but there was a different feel from the Cobra’s books. This story, although focusing on the relationship between Alder, Danica and Jesse, also spent a lot of time introducing us to everyone in the band and laying the groundwork for books about the rest of the guys in Winter’s Wrath as well. All of the boys had their own little quirks, and it only makes me more anxious to read their stories as well.

I have to admit, I was disappointed that the BDSM element (which was a strong part of her Cobra’s series) did not play any part of this story between Alder, Danica and Jesse. The dominance and submission was key in all of the Cobra’s relationships and I longed to see it rear its head here. But I do understand that these are different stories, about different guys with different kinks. I’m just glad that Ms. Sommerland’s penchant for ménage still held true because this woman can write some smoking hot scenes! She is the Queen of menage.

Overall, I loved this story. I loved escaping to the world of excess and debauchery where these guys appear to live, while also getting to see them under the masks that they wear for their fans. I love Ms. Sommerland’s writing and characters and ideas, and I hate that I need to wait to read more about the band.

Backlash (Winter's Wrath Book 1) is more than sex and rock and roll!

Backlash (Winter's Wrath Book 1) is more than the standard sex, drugs and rock and roll you would think comes from taking an inside look into a metal band on tour.

This book isn't solely focused on the rock and roll lifestyle. I liked reading about the band struggling and not being instant rock stars or that Danica wasn't a famous supermodel yet. It made the book more interpersonal and was telling the story of “real people”.

The dynamics between all the charters really draw the reader in. I know that Backlash is just hitting the surface in the Winter's Wrath series. Ms. Sommerland set a solid foundation for all the characters to build off of.

True to her style, Bianca Sommerland made ménage personable. I love the back history between Adler and Jesse. If you are a fan of the underdog getting a happy ending – you too will love this couple! The progression of Danica and Adler’s relationship was almost wholesome and a tone I didn’t expect to fine in a rock novel! Don’t get me wrong it’s still hot and steamy! Bianca has not left those good parts out ;-) And lastly seeing the friendship build between Danica and Jesse blossom was the perfect addition to this threesome. I can’t wait to see more from them.

Overall I really enjoyed Backlash (Winter's Wrath Book 1). The interactive relationships between all the characters suck you in; the slight suspense keeps you flipping till the very end and rooting for a happy ending will make this book and instant favorite! I can’t wait for more in the Winter's Wrath series!

When an author you love stars a new series you never know how it’s going to go. Are you going to hate it? Is it going to be worth reading, and in the end are you going to wish they had written another book in the other series?

Not the case with this book! She makes you fall in love with some characters, hate one of them, and then you fall in love with them too. It makes you happy, makes you angry, and makes you want to cheer.

Alder and Danica are good together, but it takes someone else to make them great. You don’t know exactly what’s missing until all the pieces are put together. I won’t spoil who it is, because getting to that point is a running story throughout the book.

All of the boys are complicated, and the dynamic between them all is different than I’ve read in any other rockstar romance. You expect them to be best friends and they are anything but. They are all so broken you wonder how they have made it as far as they have. I’m looking forward to seeing how Bianca Sommerland “fixes” each one of them and where the band goes as they each start to heal.

What a complicated bunch of guys. They all live for the band. All need each other. Brave and Alder sure don't act like brother's should. Brave is a douchbag when it comes to Alder. Adler only wants Braves love. Love the way Alder and Amber meet. So glad Amber told Alder what was going on. Glad Amber has Jesse as a friend. Loved this story. Can't wait to read more from this series. A must read.

I <3ed this story! It kept drawing me in!!
This is a wild story! Danica has been made to join the band Winter's Wrath on tour to change her modeling/acting image! Alder & Danica have hit it off instantly but all around them the band seems to have a bus load of problems. If the problems aren't fixed soon the band might be totally destroyed! :(

First things first why oh why can't I ever find hot long haired, sexy as sin men in the cookie aisle of my favorite grocery store . Bianca can sure make shopping for groceries fun and well hot .

I have to admit I got sucked into this story from the second page . The author has a unique way of writing that will suck you in and keep you turning pages all night long. The story is based on the band Winter's Wrath on stage they command the attention of everyone but off the stage they are as tight as anyone can be . But as you read you find out more about the band and the secrets hidden and the quilt that everyone is carrying around.

I have fallen in love with the characters in the band . Alder is the reluctant leader of the band keeping everyone safe and under control. But he is lonely, knowing he wants someone but he is in love with someone else. You see him as well some would call a doormat to his brother Brave . Brave is so arrogant and selfish. You really want to kick his ass around the bus a few times . When Adler finds Danica things start to change and we see Adler grow up and start becoming the man the band needs to get them through all the chaos. Brave is the arrogant one and so selfish , he treats everyone like shit and does what ever he wants . The typical bad boy of rock and roll , until you start reading into his character and you find him to be a small scared little boy , with the weight of the world on his shoulders . You actually start to see him grow up and be the hot sexy man you want him to be . Danica to me seemed a little naïve at the beginning . She did everything for her career and seemed like a puppet to her manager. As she hung around with the guys you see her get a back bone and stand up for herself . You also see her taking on the mother role for the young drummer Tate. They have the cutest relationship, like brother and sister sometimes . The rest of the guys in the band are such a mixture , you know you will fall in love with at least one or two of them and they may break your heart in the process .

I have read a lot of rocker books and they fade in the light of this book. The author adds her own twist on the story making it stand out . The added mystery of what happened to Adler's and Braves older brother and the mystery that surrounds the stalker just ups the ante on this story . There is plenty of sex also , m/m, m/f/m and m/f going on . It will make you kindle melt and make you warm in all the right spots . You will laugh , Tate's cookie addiction , and cry when everything comes to light . I will admit I did have a good cry . If that isn't enough to keep you reading , the twists and turns will . So if you want a great book with hot Alpha men and lots of good rock . Check it out , you will love it

I am a huge fan of Bianca's Dartmouth Cobras series. I loved it. When I heard that she was diving into the rocker story, I couldn't wait to read the first in the series.

Backlash does a fantastic job giving the background of the group and those around them. It also gets into these brothers who have this relationship on the edge. Alder is easy to fall for in this book. He is standing by the brother who doesn't treat him as such. Brave is kind of an ass at first, but the longer you read you can't help but fall for him too. Alder's best friend is Jesse and is with his brother. He is in love with him and suffers in silence until he meets Danica who rocks his world. She changes things for him in a way he never expected and opens his heart to all the love he could ever want making his dreams come true. I loved their story and can't wait to read more.

I give Backlash 4 hearts!

I really love rock romance books and this one is a little different from the norm, because all the male members of the band are pretty sexually fluid, sleeping with both men and women to different degrees.

This book’s main character is Alder, who is the lead guitarist and who writes the music for most of the songs, along with bass guitarist Malakai. Alder has an older brother, Brave, who is the lead singer and who writes most of the lyrics. They have a very difficult relationship as Brave treats most of the people around him with disrespect and outright cruelty. The brothers lost their oldest brother who was the front man in in Brave’s old band, but he died and it tore the already weak structure of their family further apart. Alder has tried for so many years to hold the band together and smooth the way with Brave, even when his brother is breaking his heart.

Into shaky band politics comes model and former child actress Danica. A Native American woman who is stuck in the child mode because of her previous work, she is seen as innocent, pure and is excluded from lots of work because of it. Her agent decides to pair her up with the band to make her look more edgy and having a beautiful woman in the press with the band increases their profile. Her insertion into the band’s tour, on stage, causes some of the fractures within the band to crack a little bit further open.

This is a wonderfully complex book, with fascinating characters and intriguing relationships. You just don’t see where things are going until you get there, which is novelty in a romance book. There is m/m sex and relationships in the book so if that. Bothers you, don’t read, also there are scenes with more than 2 people in them, so again be warned. However, despite the hot and spicy sex scenes this book has so much more to offer, looking at romantic relationships is just the cherry on top of the hot fudge sundae underneath.

A fabulous book!

Love, Betrayal, and Stalkers?

I definitely liked this book and I am glad that it will be continuing because, otherwise, it would be a real disappointment! I love how the story brings someone everyone sees as "a good girl," and allows her to show her true colors by travelling with the band, Winter's Wrath, who happens to be the band the man she falls in love with is in! It also shows the true colors of some of the band members that are unexpected, but are realistic! Due to sexual content, which I think the book could have used a little more of, I would have to say that I would only recommend this book to adults who are into erotica! Definitely NOT a book for a good Christian woman looking for clean romance!

WOW! I absolutely loved this book!

I’ve read a few of Biana Sommerland’s books before that once I started I could not put down for anyone or anything; this one is no different. Backlash is simply addicting.

Alder is the glue that keeps Winter’s Wrath together. He never puts himself first…always the needs of the band. He’s sweet and caring and I couldn’t get enough of him.

“It’s little early in the relationship for me to spank you, but we haven’t been conventional about anything else.”

Jesse is in love with both brothers, Alder and Brave. Problem is he’s friends with Alder and wouldn’t want to mess that up for anything. Brave on the other hand seems to needs someone and he just hopes that someone is him. The only problem is sometimes people can’t be fixed and those who you love don’t always love you back. Then again sometimes they do.

“If I had a fragile ego, her silence would wound me.” Jesse put his hand over his heart as he stood, grinning when she shook her head. “Don’t worry, I’m offended. I’ve probably thought about fucking you more than you’ve ever considered touching me, but I’m a guy.”

Danica needed the publicity and being seen with the members of Winter’s Wrath was just what she was looking for. There’s only a small problem with that scenario though. She had met Alder before the show, not knowing it was him, and now she feels guilty for using them when she actually really likes him.

“He’ll be listening and picturing what you’re doing to me and-“

Alder put his hand over her mouth and let out a rough laugh. “Well, with that disturbing thought in my head, no, I wouldn’t be comfortable. And I’d rather not gibe the rest of the guys something to jack off to.”

“You say the sweetest things!”

Managers and publicists have no problem working out a way to keep Danica close to Alder, after all it is good publicity for both, problem is will having a girl on tour add stress to the band or create just enough tension to push them through their rough patches. Alder, Danica, and Jesse will not only figure out how to make the band better, they’ll also figure out a way to make the perfect relationship work.

The sex is hot! Then again this is Bianca Sommerland and she definitely knows how to write sex. The storyline is engaging (rockers, stalkers, and sex) and always has something going on, never a dull moment, not even a “let me bookmark it here” place. It’s a read me until the last page kind of book.

My Favorite Laughable Moment: Nothing like a little pity from a waitress.

“Stop scowling. She probably thinks I have your balls in my purse.” Danica set her purse on the table and peeked inside. “They’re not in here, so no worries.”

It has to be incredibly scary for both author and reader, when the author introduces a new series to her fans. This holds true if the reader is used to a particular style or genre from the author. That being said, I was nervous to start book one in Sommerland's new Winter's Wrath series. As you may you know, I am an INCREDIBLY HUGE fan of Bianca Sommerland's Dartmouth Cobra's series. I LIVE and BREATHE those characters. They have become a family to me. I crave and count down the hours until a new Cobra book comes out. After finishing up BACKLASH, I'm happy to say, I have a new series to stalk! BACKLASH was incredibly entertaining and so emotional and complex that it had my head spinning and my heart bursting. With just reading the synopsis of the book, you really don't know what you're in for. I am so giddy and I want to tell you so bad how this ends, but I can't, because you MUST read this for yourself. Get a glimpse into this author's mind. You will not be disappointed!

I'm a big fan of rock star romances for sure! But it's hard to find one where all of the characters resonate with you. There is usually multiple characters involved and it can be hard sometimes to keep up with them all. Well, let me put you at ease with this one. Yes, there are multiple characters involved...so much more than your typical hero/heroine love story. But each character brings something to the table. Sommerland sets each amazing character up well for her readers, so as we move along the series, the depth of our love for these characters can grow easily. Some characters made me laugh, some made me scream, and some made it so incredibly easy to fall in love with. There are some intense and passionate love scenes. There are beautiful and heartbreaking scenes. There are suspenseful scenes that will have you on the edge of your seat. All in all, this was a pretty damn good read! I'm so proud of this author with every book she releases. I hope that more and more readers will bite the bullet and give her a chance, because you will be so glad you did. If her writing style doesn't seal the deal for you, her beautiful, tortured, and sexy characters will.

“Backlash” by Bianca Sommerland is part of the ‘Winter’s Wrath’ series and centers around guitarist Alder Trousseau as his life intersects with Danica Tallien, a former child star and current model. The tension that swirls around the band threatens the burgeoning relationship that Danica is establishing and may be enough to destroy any happiness that Alder finds with her. There is an additional complication in the tug of war caused by the connection between roadie Jesse and Alder’s brother Brave, not to mention the threats that are escalating, all of which may not only destroy the band but could turn out to be life-threatening.

This contemporary erotic romance gives a compelling look at some of the challenges that have to be overcome on the road to fame. This glimpse of an up-and-coming rock band and the perspective offered by a woman who has her own challenges with respect to being in the public eye combine to keep one intrigued by the obstacles that have to be overcome, including crazed fans and the difficulties of being confined in close company while traveling between gigs. The tragic background of some of the guys and complicated dance of attraction with the somewhat unexpected developments makes one want to get to know these individuals more and root for a happy ending. Some of the developments are a little awkward for me, particularly with respect to the manager, and the very annoying and disgusting games being played with blithe disregard for the impact on vulnerable egos, but the angst and intense sensuality kept me enthralled by the story and hoping things would work out. There are plenty of things to be frustrated by, particularly the casual sex and use of drugs that threaten to tear the group apart, and I would like to get to know all of the team a little better, but this was another enjoyable story from this talented author and I look forward to reading more about the members of Winter’s Wrath.

Bianca Sommerland’s Backlash is a fabulous start to another great series, Winter’s Wrath. Lead guitarist of the band Winter’s Wrath, Alder Trousseau, is at odds with their lead singer/his brother, Braver. The drama is tearing the band apart. This contemporary romance is suitable for adult audiences.

Bianca Sommerland does a phenomenal job with her character development. The Trousseau brothers have some issue steaming back to their family. Braver comes off as a jerk but there is more going on with him then what is going on at the surface. I like Alder. He is a caring man. He is open-minded and smart. I love their roadie, Jesse. He cares about the guys and looks out for their well being. The dynamics between Alder, Brave, and Jesse was fascinating. Danica Tallien is a strong heroine. I enjoyed how her and Alder met, and how that was tied into the story. Winter’s Wrath’s manager, Zach Cole, is a piece of work. He does help make the story interesting. I also, enjoyed the rest of the band and look forward to discovering more about their characters in future books.

I enjoyed the plot. It seemed very believable. I love the scene where Danica was hanging out with the authors at the concert. I could totally picture Bianca Sommerland there. I like the contrast and similarities throughout the story: Danica’ upbringing vs, Alder/Brave; Danica’s manager versus Winter’s Wrath. Both managers are intense, but I would take Danica’s manager over Zach any day. I appreciated Danica’s friendship with Jesse. I love how the story evolves. The dynamics throughout the book were captivating. There was a little of everything in the story: drama, mystery, thrills, crime, humor, entertainment, and romance. I cannot wait for the next book.

I've been a fan of Bianca Sommerland since she wrote the magnificent series, Dartmouth Cobras, and my fandom continues still today!

FANFRIKKINTASTIC , I tell ya .... and flawless! There is no denying that Bianca is the #MasterofMenage. Anyone that tries to tell you otherwise, didn't read her books right :) #TRUTH With Backlash she managed to take my fandom of her greatness a step up! She stepped away from the BDSM element she is so well known for with her Cobras and just made Winter's Wrath a scorching pantie-melting kinky fuckery read from the first page to the last page ... and I loved every second of it!! I have no doubt in my mind that Bianca is going to create a scorching world of kinky fuckery with all the brothers. And it's gonna be fantastic! Because she's good. Really really good with the sexy sexy.

I also loved this story because not only do we get a romance story here, but we also get a story of brothers in desperate need of relationship counseling AND an introduction to all the misfits in this brotherhood, Winter's Wrath! There is a lot of convoluted stuff going on among these guys and as you read this story, you might find yourself going ... wait, what? ... a few times, but not because of angst, but because as a reader, we can see the story from the outside of it. So we see way more than they do. And you will wanna smack some heads and scream some profanities at times LOL But in the end, you will fall in love ... I did :)

I'm generally a huge fan of Ms. Sommerland's books, the Cobras in particular.. So I was a bit worried about the shift of genre.

But as usual, the author gives great details about the specific settings, this time rock stars which helps me connect with the story and the characters.

Though I have to admit, this was a a hard nut to crack. I am a quick reader, but it took me 5 days to reach 50% mainly because I felt the story dragged a little. Don't get me wrong both Adler and Danica are great together, but I was certain it would be a ménage book (which no one does better than Bianca Sommerland) so I didn't understand why it could take so long for the third person to become involved...

After the 50% mark, I was hooked and it just costs me a day of studying, since I have been reading through the night...

It was the development of the ménage relationship (though it took to long for them to connect) which drew me in, but Alder's brother Brave and his asshole ways, kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see how Ms. Sommerland will make us all love him in the following books...

The three other band members felt a little shoved to the side because of the relationship between the brothers. Particularly Conner felt like a stranger even at the end, whereas the reader gets to know plenty about Tate and Malakai.

Overall, it was a good book, and I will certainly read the next one. Not only because I hope Tate is next (I really like him), but because when this author writes a series, they might have a "main" couple, but we see the development of the past relationships, and I, for one, want to see more of Adler, Jesse, and Danica.

AMAZING! I loved Bianca's Dartmouth Cobra's series and her Deadly Captive series. I'm adding this one to the love pile. I can't wait for the 2nd book to come out! Thanks to Bianca for sending me the ARC of this because I had really been needing something new to read. Something to cleanse my reader palate as it were.

I read a few other rocker series but I just couldn't get that into those. I don't know why. I guess it felt like it was a little too star struck-y and the stories were mostly the same. Bianca really takes her readers for a full ride. Plus you rarely hear about metal bands in a lot of these books. The characters were really cool and I could have a better sense of who they where. I like that her characters are open with their sexualities and she is so comfortable writing these types of characters. They are believable and even if you don't share that particular set of desires...it doesn't alienate the reader. Well unless you are REALLY opposed to the lifestyles and if you are...what are you doing reading her books anyway? :) I love Alder and Brave. Their fighting was just...wow. Tate is someone I kind of fell for in reading the book.

Bianca loves her readers and always works her hardest to give us stories we will love, but more to the point that she writes what she loves without care to anyone other than herself. She writes what she loves and that is what makes me want to read her stories. Regardless of theme.

If you are looking for something different, you've found it. Read Backlash and eagerly await the next Winter's Wrath book!
