Interesting and revealing not always in a good way...

Not the best written book but honest and revealing. Difficult to have a great deal of sympathy for the author given the revelations which certainly (if true) leave a sour taste about the game we all love. Worth a read though despite raising some personal thought points of the game perhaps I was happy to be oblivious to.

Offered very little insight and just made out all footballers to be exactly the same, only interested in money, cars and women. The book would just go on about how often his clients would sleep around and some of the hijinks they would get up to. When it did talk about transfer dealings I didn't feel it was in a way that was easy to understand. Some of the stories he recounted too didn't sound believable, he would be recounting stories from years ago word for word like they happened yesterday which made me doubt the credibility of the story. Did it actually happen or is it something he made up?

This is quite similar to the "Secret Footballer" books although this time it's an agent.

It details the agent's rise, from being nothing to a fully fledged agent.

It really shows how murky the water is in the world of an agent, and just how corrupt football is on the whole.

If you like the TSF books, I reckon you'll like this one.

I did like finding out about the football agent industry told truthfully. The reality is grim and corruption in abundance. Nevertheless interesting to understand more how an industry works.

The main positive of this book is seeing the author running in to much deserved troubles at the end.

If he is indeed a real football agent, which to be honest, I am pretty unsire he is - then surely he could have produced a more authentic-feeling book, and not something for which to ejaculate ego and self-justification in to every chapter.

The worst part is the half assed puns and 'well, obviously he is a footballer so he did this....' YAWN YAWN

Poorly written with very few revelations, other then how much of a tit he could make himself.

If you are truly interested in finding out the murky details of the football agent world, you would be far better served to search the internet. There are some interviews easy to find which will give you far more insight, and not line the pockets of this sham.

As interesting as some of the stories are the book itself is very repetetive. Each chapter focuses on other aspect of Agent's life, but in each and every one of them the Agent comes to the same conclusion. There's too much focus on the negotiating, legal aspects and not enough on the supposedly real-life examples, which are the best part of the book. It also seems more like enhanced reality, some of it might be true but most of it is probably spiced to be more controversial.
