About the author

Kassanna is a strong believer in love at first sight and happily ever afters. After meeting her husband in November and marrying him three months later in February the two have survived and mostly enjoyed every adventure life has thrown their way. Ten years, two children, a couple of dogs and a wild turkey that came out the woods and somehow adopted them - later- the adventure continues.

Writing has always been her passion but fate sometimes has other roads that must first be taken . Navigating the road less traveled was not only unexpected but in the end extremely rewarding. Her books are mainly contemporary romance but she has delved into the paranormal and plans on expanding into other areas as the ideas come to her. Right now she is enjoying life and seeing her work come into fruition make it that much more pleasurable especially when her books make others smile. Kassanna wouldn't have it any other way.

Here we are at the very beginning of how Alpha Colin Blaidd and his boys came into existence.

It is a fantastic story with a several questions being answered and several more being unanswered. In the next book those questions will be answered as well. Colin is who you would expect him to be, a caring, loving and dangerous man. But you were always left wondering why he didn't have a mate? And is he just content being around his sons, their wives and his grandson Keen.

But then in I believe it is in the book "Pack (Pack Rules - Volkshire Book 6), you see that Colin's out of town trips are not all business. Colin is going to see his Mate Robbie in Alaska, I said you are a Sly Silver Fox and I love it LOL!!! Its amazing that all of these years and all of this time his children have absolutely no clue, that their dad is mated. Oh anytime you can keep a secret like that from practically everybody, you are truly a Master Chief LOL!!

What I also loved were the appearances of other Shifters that we have come know and love. Gunther the Hyena from the "Pride Series", then mention of the Dragons from "Shifter Legends Series" and of others that it is wonderful to see that even way back then there was a connection between all of them. The Shifters cross paths and have formed alliances with one another.

For those who thought Robbie was a small time woman, you will find out otherwise. She has endured much and my heart goes out to her, I so need for her to finally be happy, no longer in hiding and be able to stand side by side with her mate Alpha Colin. But we will find out in the next book whether or not these things will come to fruition and what will happen next for Alpha Colin.

If you haven't read Kassanna Dwight's paranormal shifter books, you don't know what you are missing and I implore you to dive into the world of Shifters.

This one explained soooo much that it really linked together all the missing pieces to the puzzle of what’s been going on and just how the characters fit together. I thought Ian and Reana were good guys in the story but I guess not; now I’m wondering if they’re all brothers, what happened with Reana and if Boris mother was setup or not. Seems like all the kids are accounted for but I’m not sure just where Garret comes in at, funny how Nix and Seri don’t get along but Marree and Nix do. This just took the story to a whole other level and way more interesting to find out what’s going to happen next.

Sacrifices and secrets

So many sacrifices in this book. Now that I have the backstory of how it all started, We have answers to the mystery and motivation behind Malachai. We also find out about the children experiment and much more. Robbie is a fighter and Colin is a true Alpha. Finding out their origin story was eye opening for sure. But whose the baby?

I loved this book. This is a prequel to the series. I have been waiting a long time to read Colin's story. I was not disappointed at all. It fits right in with all the other books. Now we just have to read wait for the next book to come out. Colin is 100% alpha male and Robbie is his perfect mate.

Great job Kassanna , just don't make us wait to long for the next book and the next installment of Lucky's Charm..

I have a feeling that even though this is a prequel at least in the sense of its chronological placing that it would have meant more to me if I had read some of the main series first and met Colin and Robbie in the present time. Having said that, this was a surprisingly well written book that packed a lot of information into a short story. Enjoyed it a lot and looking forward to reading more and making sense of what was given here.

Lets see, there is a hero and several villains and the story is very well told. I Can't wait for the next installment with the happily ever after conclusion. A bit of proof reading is called for though.

I enjoyed reading this. It provided a lot of background for all of the other stories in the series which I will need to read again so I can pick up the small details which are now important for the future stories. I look forward to the next book in the series.

What a great story. The author did a great job introducing the characters in the later books. I look forward to the continuation of Colin's story as well as ALL of the other characters.
