There are monsters in the dark. No that isn’t right. There are monsters all around us, living among us. Disguised as regular human beings, but they… we aren’t.
I’m one of them now, one of the monsters. They tell me I’m a slayer, that what Jaevia did to me, made me the perfect killer. But what if I don’t want to kill? What if I don’t want to be the shield of mankind? What if I’m a coward?
My name is Harper James, at least now it is. The person I was before had to die, he had to leave. He couldn’t survive in this world. Jaevia might have made me something different, but it’s up to me to make myself something more. I know that now.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Lark graduated from Polytechnic Institute in 1999, she received two Associates degrees one in computer aided drafting and another in mechanical engineering. But her true passion and love has always been for the written word. She’s currently working on the next book in the Echoes of Time series.
When not designing mechanical systems she enjoys reading a good novel, drinking a good cup of coffee and letting the words on the page take her to new exciting places.

Where to even start? I've been intrigued with Harper from the moment he was introduced in Murder of Crows and Jae wanted to help him out...after a lot of unfortunate events he's made into a Slayer...not even 20 and his life has been one unfortunate event after the other...but now he has the option for a change.
Set a few months after the events in Murder of Crows, Harper chronicles life with Jae and the gang. There is so much I want to say but I don't want to spoil anything...let's just say I have a new appreciation for Nemion after reading Harper Files that I didn't have during Murder of Crows. The changes her character and Harper go through are amazing!
Favorite part was the party for Tricia and Frank telling Harper and Nemion a story about Jae...classic. Frank is a bit of an asshole! I love it...my favorite character made an appearance and I can't wait to see what happens next. This is just a teaser of things to come...some hints thrown in that will have you squealing and excited for Sacred Bones scheduled for 2016....write faster Ms. Adams I need my Twisted Eventide fix...if you haven't read this series I highly recommend you do and start with A Snow Covered Moon.

Quick and needed
This one is 3 quick stories. I found this set after reading Sacred Bones and just knew some bit of the story was missing. Harper Files didn’t quite get through everything I thought was missing an explanation on Sacred Bones, but it did bring answers to quite a few questions and left others to be understood easier. Definitely enjoyed getting to see how Harper and Nemion came together and getting to delve a little into his head.

Short but definitely sweet
Another great one from Ms. Adams! It was good to be able to have a glimpse into the dynamic between Harper and Nemion....it made for a better understanding as to the why and wherefore between them

3 short stories in one! It's perfect!
I love this! It gives you a deeper look and understanding of Harper (Mikey) & Némion. And you get a deeper meaning of Jaevia's relationship with Jack and Lucien! How different her relationships are between both men!
