Gotta admit, I am a gat dang sucker for some snuggly fluff advertised on the cover.
A cute little side-story that takes place after the events of A New Hope. It fits in well where Leia and Han were still trying to "figure each other out" going into Empire, and the art is nice and the pacing for a both high-stakes and also soft short story is good.
I think a few times some "fights" feel unresolved (there's one where Han pretty much blames Leia for Chewie being in danger? And she just says 'sorry' even though that's....totally? unfair?), but it definitely feels overall like the characters 'testing boundaries' with each other in ways that fit their overall personalities.
The sweet, playful, witty, hot and cold romance we know and love about Leia and Han - in comic book form.
There's a little bit of adventure mixed in, with Chewie getting into some trouble. To be fair, this is one of the better 'romance' comics I've ever been exposed to.
What the author did here perfectly as nail their relationship style. These two are your classic over the top chocolate, roses, holding the door open, dinner date couple. We get exactly what we should and expect here from Han and Leia and being true to the classic Episodes 4-5-6 films.
This is a one shot special released for Valentine's Day 2003. Leia and Han are constantly bickering. When it is time for a mission to Hoth, Leia insist's on going with Han, making Chewbacca fly his own ship. In a storm on the way down to the planet, Chewbacca and Han's ships re separated. Frantic for his friend, Han runs out into the freezing snow, nearly dying to search for his friend. Leia coaxes Han back onto the Falcon where they share stories and body heat, building their rocky bond.
This is a very sweet one shot with nice artwork and a small background story about one of Han and Chewbacca's past adventures and well worth adding to any Star Wars collection. This can also be found in Omnibus 2 of At War With the Empire.
