Matthew

My brother and sister found their calling and people to share it with for the rest of their lives. Our parents haven’t said a thing, but I can read it on their faces.
What are you doing with your life, Matthew?
I’ve always been a songwriter but can no longer find the words. Everyone around me thinks I’m where I am in life because of my parents. I’m at a crossroads in my life and I don’t know which way to turn.
I don’t define my sexuality, I do what feels right. Love? Well, that is one melody I have yet to find the right notes to. Until them…

Thea

My childhood glittered with the lights of Hollywood while my adult life has been filled with the darkness of my ghosts and addictions. But all that is behind me and I am working on spinning the pain of my past into the promise of my future. Love? Well, that’s one addiction I have not yet dared to fool with. Until them…

Tristan

I’m running from a life where my future was decided for me. What to wear. Which company to manage. Who to marry. One day, I snapped, and I haven’t been back since. Now I manage my own businesses and I am who I want to be. But behind closed doors, I am still alone and I still long for things that I’ve been taught to hate. Love? Well, that’s one merger I’ve never braved. Until them…

Warning: This book contains two sexy hunks and is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is a long, thought-provoking read which will work through the angst of finding love amidst past hurts and the pain associated with not belonging, not fitting in.

It's no secret that this series is one of my all time faves of this year. Discovering Claudia Burgoa -Thank you, Didi and Carol! - has made my reading experience all the more richer. If the Deckers were a real family, I'd be begging them to adopt me. I just love this family so much!!

This fourth book is Matthew Decker's, the third triplet, musician and all around wonderful guy. I kid you not, Mattie has a heart of gold. He's not perfect but damn close. He's lovable, funny, all alpha when he wants to be and has this strong desire to take care and protect people. He also believes that anything is possible. I truly can't believe I'm saying this because up until this point, Mason Bradley had my heart but Mattie,

...I was on my knees and falling hard for Mattie in this one!

This is an unconventional love story but so beautiful that my words will not do it justice.
 photo image.jpg1_zpsin4tqx7a.jpg

This story if about not two people falling in love but three.

 photo image.jpg3_zpsdarsbqgh.jpg

Mattie has always been one to not put labels on things and follow his attraction no matter if male or female. This time around, Mattie has a brief but seriously hot relationship with his brother's business partner, Tristan Cooperson. Tristan is a truly flawed and complex character. A man who, like Matt, is drawn to both men and women but was taught from a young age that it was wrong. He was wrong. He struggles to be comfortable in his own skin. Tristan is filled with shame, anger, fear and doesn't accept himself. Of course, it doesn't help that his family perpetuates these beliefs and cuts him down at every turn.

 photo image.jpg2_zpsxpcjw3tp.jpg

Matt and Tristan don't last as Mattie will not be put in the closet and Tristan doesn't know how to be out in the open. This is where Thea Dennis enters the picture. She's a bartender at a bar that Matt frequents and they've been friends for a while. But Matt now sees her and she him.

“Fuck, I’m in love with her and falling for him all at the same time.”

Thea has a dark and traumatic past that led to addiction and abuse. She's tried so hard to put her past behind her and is reborn. She's full of life, hope and love. She is the bridge to both Mattie and Tristan forming another bond as they are both drawn to her and her to them. She's the glue that binds these two men.

 photo image.jpg1_zps72oqitsx.jpg

This is a beautifully raw and real story that I felt on a visceral level. It moved me and had me embracing another kind of love that's just as special and just as pure as any other.

 photo image.jpg1_zpszbuh5wjb.jpg

There were some real hard and sad moments that had me wishing I could fix it all but also understanding that you have to go through the hurt to get to the light.

“I love you more than yesterday. I can’t wait for tomorrow. I’ll love you even more then.”

There's one more book in this special series and I'm scared.

I don't want these wonderful characters and their lives to end yet I so want to see what happens with Porter Kendrick. I'm not a huge fan of Porter's. I so want to know how Claudia will deal with his story. It's going to be so bittersweet.

I can't recommend this series enough. If you love those books that burrow into your soul and take up residence; those books that flit through your mind at the most unexpected times bringing a smile, smirk, laugh or tear, then you must READ. THIS.

I was thrilled when I got approved for an ARC of this book on Netgalley. The blurb reads interesting, the cover is sexy, and menage stories are my guilty pleasure. I've never heard of the author before and I haven't read the other installments in her Unexpected series, but that didn't matter because Uncut can be read as a standalone.

You know, my standards towards the Erotica genre aren't exorbitantly high. Give me some likable characters and a couple of well-written sex scenes, and I'm pretty much content. I'm alright with a little mindless smut now and again and pretty easy to please. BUT, when an Erotica novel tries to be more than smut, I require the whole package, including a well-developed story, neat and compelling writing, and chemistry between the characters. Unfortunately, none of my requirements were met here.
I'm at a complete loss as to how this book got so many positive reviews and ratings.

I found the writing to be choppy and uninspired, and I didn't like the pacing at all. There were too many confusing time leaps of several days or weeks between chapters, and sometimes I didn't even know how much time had passed, which made the story feel terribly rushed at times. I felt like too many important events were told in retrospect, like how the relationship between the characters was progressing, instead of showing the developments.
The book was written in alternating 1st person POV from all three main characters, which was a first for me – all of the menage novels I've read so far were in 3rd person POV. At first, I was intrigued, but that didn't last long. All three characters' inner voices sounded completely identical, even the female one. Also, the dialogues were really confusing. The author often failed in making clear who was talking.

There was no plot, really, other than drama, drama, drama. Another reviewer compared this book to a soap-opera, and they were absolutely right. Seriously, how many hardships can three people endure in their lives? () It was so over the top.
As for the characters, I alternated between dislike and indifference throughout the entire book. I felt totally detached from all of them and I couldn't have cared less about their fates, their feelings and their issues.

The steamier scenes were alright, I guess, as long as they didn't mention their „watering dicks“ or complimented one another by telling them they tasted like French Fries (yup, actual quotes, and those things weren't said in jest).

My 1 star ratings are reserved for books that really piss me off for one reason or another – books I genuinely hate. I didn't hate Uncut. I just really didn't like it, hence 2 stars.

☆ I received an ARC via the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆

Matthew!! Ah, I've been waiting and waiting for his story and it did not disappoint!

A more different and unorthodox from the rest of the Unexpected series, Uncut follows three individuals from completely separate world falling in love.

There's so much emotion brimming at the seams and the stakes are real.

Author Claudia Burgoa definitely revved up her writing repertoire with this one!

I absolutely loved it!

Matthew is a “jack of all trades” in business and pleasure and he is master of all. He knows what and who he wants and he is completely comfortable with himself. Tristan grew up in a family and religion that taught him to be ashamed of his desires and to fight them with all he is, even to the point of being alone, unhappy and incomplete. Thea is the enigma. She carries her secrets and her heart close, never letting anyone too far into her life. Three people battling their own demons. Three lonely souls with secrets. Can they find their way together or is life not meant to be lived in threes?

What I love about this book is that it drew me in from the start and held my attention all the way through to the end. Evenly paced and gripping throughout, I hated putting this one down to do silly things like clean my house, feed my family or pick up the kids from school. My heart ached for each character, even when they fucked up. Tristan and Matthew are two men that any woman with an open mind would love to have. Thea, even with her vulnerabilities, is a pillar of strength.

I also love how the story was handled. While I have never read a book exactly like this, I have read several books dealing with threesomes and those books treated the relationships as something easy and focused more on the sex than the emotions within the relationship. Claudia didn’t brush over the complexities of this story. Yes, there was off the charts steam but it pushed the story forward instead of being the story. There is nothing cheap or easy about this story . Everything about it is beautiful, including the struggles and heartache each character endures. Like the first book in the series, Unlike Any Other, this is an epic love story.

Each member of the Decker family makes an appearance in Uncut but the focus remains on Matthew, Tristan and Thea. This isn’t one of those books that will use side characters as filler but we do find out how the Decker family is doing and growing. Rather than distracting from the main story to build anticipation, the secondary characters play roles in moving the main story along, which is the way a series about a family or group of friends should be written.

I am in love with this series, and Uncut has become my favorite of them all! Claudia Burgoa has written a story that deeply touched my heart in a way few other authors ever have. Matthew, Thea & Tristan’s story is unconventional, yet so beautiful and emotional. Mattie captivated me with his capacity to love beyond boundaries. Thea and Tristan moved me to tears with the demons they battle. Their story is intense, yet it’s also sexy and heartwarming.

Burgoa’s writing is exceptional! Her characters have depth and a realism that left me missing them long after I finished the book, and she once again managed to surprise me with a twist in the plot. Uncut is an extraordinary story! I can’t wait to see where Burgoa takes us as the series continues with Porter’s return in Undefeated.

Another beautiful story by Burgoa. To say I love this series would be an understatement. It's definitely an all time favorite of mine. Now this romance is not something seen in mainstream media very much so I think it would be hard to portray it a positive, readable light that wouldn't offend or automatically be discounted as erotica. Burgoa did that, she created a beautiful story with 3 distinct characters with incredible depth. And as always I love that everyone, the Colthurst-Deckers and Bradleys continue to play integral parts in the stories. Porter's story is next and it should be a good one...but a sad one as it will bring the series to a close. I'm anxious to read it but not anxious for it all to be over.

I am in love with this series! I am so happy to finally read Matthew's story. Each book is about a different person in the Decker family and they all are very good reads. You will love each character in this series but I have been dying to see Matthew's story. He has such a great and amazing heart. The relationship is not conventional but it is beautiful. This book will have you on an emotional roller coaster wishing you could smack some sense in to some and to fix things for others. My heart broke when reading this. Claudia did an amazing job once again. I loved how it was in Matthew, Thea and Tristen's POV but it didn't go over the same thing each time.

Matthew is someone that people underestimate. He is super smart but things don't come easy for him in that department but he has managed to accomplish a lot in his life. He seems like one that wouldn't be interested in ever having a relationship but he's just waiting to find that special person. He doesn't label himself, he likes both genders and is open about that. He will not put himself in the closet for anyone so when he entered a brief fling with Tristen he ended it because that is what Tristen wanted. He then meets Thea and falls for her. She won't be easy to convince and while trying to do that he falls for Tristen.

Tristen is Matthew's business partner who eventually becomes Matthew's as well. He has been interested in both men and women since he was in school. His parents sent him away to a camp and he was drilled that it is wrong and shameful to like men. He hasn't been with another man since his first time and once he is with Matthew things in his head snap. He fights himself at every turn. His heart wants one thing but his head is stuck with everything he's been taught. Upon meeting Thea he feels some serious things but finds out that Matthew is falling for her as well.

Thea is a bartender at a bar that Matthew's family has been going to for years. She has had a seriously rough childhood and has been overcoming addictions since and she doesn't associate sex with anything good. She is really good friends with Matthew and starts getting feelings for him but at the same time she feels a connection to Tristen. She isn't sure what to do or if she is even mentally able to be with anyone. She has changed her name and hasn't come clean to Matthew who she is and she is afraid that once she does things will be over.

What happens when Matthew purposes they all enter a realtionship together? Will Tristen be able to overcome his shame? Will Tristen expect them to keep their relationship a secret indefinitely? What happens when Tristen's family finds out? What happens when Thea's past comes to light? What happens when the triad becomes a duo? Will the relationship survive the pain of losing one of them?

I’m happy to read that Matthew (Matt or MJ) finally got his HEA. Uncut was a good read. This book definitely felt like it had more drama, up and down, break up to make up moments, than the previous books in the series. I love how Matthew loved and was comfortable with who he is. I understand that Tristan’s family played a major part in the man he became, thinking what he was doing and feeling was wrong and unbecoming of a man but I COULD NOT wait for him to accept who he was as a person and just tell them to bugger off. I hated how he constantly let his family destroy what he had and degrade him, his sister was no better than his mother. Thea grew up in the spotlight and had her own destructive past to deal with and that responsibility fell on how her childhood was and what she had to do. I’m glad she took the time to find herself but with everything she was going through I wondered how things would turn out with the profession she was pursing. I was so happy when everyone got themselves together but I felt like it ended too soon. I was just enjoying the “completeness” of the trio and their happiness and I felt like after all that drama and everything they went through to make it where they were now, I wanted to enjoy their happiness a little more. However, PORTER’S BACK!!!! Yes, Kendrick shows up at the end of this book and I can’t wait to see what happens with him.

I first read this book as a beta reader and it was my first book to read by Claudia. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I am so glad that I found this book this way. I will be completely honest, this is not normally the type of book I would read and had I just glanced at it, I might have passed it up. However, having the amazing opportunity to beta read for this author and to get another chance to read it as an ARC, I can say I absolutely loved this book! I cannot even begin to talk about how much I adored Matthew in this story. His character was so lively and fun and loving and I totally fell for him. I will say Tristan took a little longer to warm up to, but once I did, I fell in love with his insecurities and sweetness and confusion. Thea is a strong character that holds her own against these two men that would otherwise overshadow. These characters are well-written and having an amazing story that I could not stop reading. Once I finished this, I went back and read everyone of Claudia's previous books in this series. Claudia definitely has a new fan.

Oh wow. I have been rendered speechless – but not in a bad way, only in the ‘oh my goodness, I think I have been smacked in the face with the hotness factor’. Uncut is the fourth instalment in the Unexpected series (which will be reviewed within the next few days) and each time I opened a new book I sucked into Claudia Burgoa’s world faster and faster. Simply put, the storyline is so well written that the rest of reality faded and the only thing that existed was the trio of Matthew, Thea and Tristan. Two men who wanted each other but wouldn’t make a move on each other for some misplaced idea of respect, while Thea, a psychologist in love with Matthew, has it as a goal to make sure that the two men end up together. I never would have expected the three in a polyamourous or a ménage relationship (even if there was a physical attraction between all of them) and never would I have thought to enjoy the chemistry, the twists in the plot and the many nuances in the storyline as much as I did. My only advice when you pick this book up? Grab a drink (coffee, water, wine, whichever is your preference), a blanket, a comfortable spot and make sure you don’t get disturbed because I promise you, you won’t be able to put it down once you start. Claudia Burgoa absolutely knows how to draw you in and make you crave for more of her series and the Unexpected series absolutely does deliver. It’s a recommended read for sure, but I would also encourage readers to pick up the rest of the series – even if it’s only to add more reading written from this author.

An underwhelming mash-up of my three least-favorite types of writing:
1. Mountains of Melodrama and soap operatic plot twists for no reason
2. Sickly, saccharine sweet treacle lovey, dovey stuff, which was horribly gushy throughout, but reached a crescendo near the end that nearly made me puke from sugar overdose
3. Chicks-with-dicks : I.e. Male characters who talk like verbal young women, instead of men.

Frustratingly, the author missed a golden opportunity in LGBT fiction to delve into how gay men of two very different generations (those forced to be in the closet for years versus those who were out from day one) relate to each other and to themselves. There's tons of good stuff she could have explored, but she just completely missed it.

There was also at least one ginormous plot hole, where a security professional in charge of protecting a musician is utterly unaware of the existence of a former band member's child even though that child is a reality TV star and all over the tabloids non-stop. If you had worked with Miley Cyrus's father's former bandmate for decades, don't you think you would be aware that Miley exists?

Also, as a business person myself, I am always annoyed when novelists portray running a business as something that's fairly simple for an intelligent person. It's not. There's no way on earth either of these young men could have possibly run multiple companies successfully with their backgrounds. In particular I think MJ's career broke the time/space continuum. Because you can't manage three companies, write and publish a series of novels, write songs on your piano and bartend nights all at the same time. Not to mention melodrama, romance and bursting into improbable dialogue.

Lastly, I'm tired of charactetures of rich families that are clearly based on other charactetures of rich families. I know plenty of rich people, yes from old families, and yes even in Connecticut. None of them are anything remotely like the family shown here - not even a smidgen of resemblance. You know who is? Rich people on bad TV shows from the 1980s and cheap novels from pretty much any time. There's plenty to make fun of in reality, rich people can be idiotic. But, not in the way they are portrayed here (for one thing, true rich old families don't give a flying fuck about status or what anyone thinks of them. Because they don't have to. Also, they are rarely Catholic, and even more rarely truly religious.)

The other books in the series were not perfect, but they had a certain Je Ne Sais Quoi Pas that defied their imperfections and made them compulsively readable. Sadly, not so much this one.

My little thrill ride with this author is done.

“I kiss her forehead, her nose, and her lips. ‘You’re not alone, Butterfly. No matter what has happened, nothing will change the bond we share. Tonight I’m staying with you.’ I touch her silky lips with mine. It’s only for a second, but that simple touch loosens her stiff muscles.

5 uncut stars!!! Claudia Burgoa knows how to write a beautiful, sexy story! She’s done it again with Uncut!

In this fourth book we finally get Matthew’s story…. yay!!! Matthew is a songwriter, but he’s struggling to figure out what to do with it, and well he’s struggling to write songs. He comes from a great family and he refuses to define his sexuality. Thea has grown up in the spotlight, but her light has faded over time, and she struggles with all kinds of addiction. Her main problem, besides addiction? She refuses to fall in love, she doesn’t want anyone near her heart. Tristan is tired of being told what to do, where to go and how to think, so he takes off to live life on his own. And while he’s happy with that, he struggles behind closed doors with lonliness. But when these three meet, fireworks, explosions….it’s all hot and beyond sexy!! But with all the sexy comes the struggles and the pain. Can they all make it out?

I love a good triad love story and this one was beyond words!!! I loved this whole series, but I never thought this one could top the others, but I was wrong!! Claudia Burgoa is a rock star and a phenomenal author!! What are you waiting for….go grab the book now!!

Tristan, Thea, and Matt each one of them has a backstory that pulled at my heartstrings. When Tristan was a teenager his father caught him kissing a boy and he was sent away to a camp that would help "Pray the Gay Away" what total bull crap! Right from the start you knew that Tristan was going to have the hardest time with his sexuality. It had me in tears several times during this book, just knowing that family could act that way towards someone they are supposed to love...ugghh.
Now Thea, I think she has the worst of the backstories. She was sexually exploited when she was so young, she was a child actor and her "Father" made her do things with the directors and such to ensure that she would get the best parts, it's no wonder she is so turned off by sex. Now Matt I loved him, he was in your face about his sexuality and didn't care what people thought of him. If he was attracted to a man he went for it same thing if he was attracted to a female. He has been stung in the past but he wasn't going to let that get in the way of what he wanted...Tristan & Thea.
I loved the way they all had their friendships separate from the other and didn't know about it until Matt wanted to introduce Thea to Tristan, when it came out that they all had know one another already it just made sense that the three of them would start to hang out together and build on their friendship. Matt was the one that was encouraging a relationship between the three but since Tristan and Thea both had hangups they would take it slowly and see how things played out.
Things weren't easy for any of them and they had to deal with a lot to be together but knowing that they had the love and support of Matt's family I think that helped smooth somethings over a bit. Tristan's family really needed a wake-up call and Thea's family...let's just say there is more going on there then meets the eye.
I haven't read the first three books in the series but after reading this book I plan on going back and reading the rest of the series. That being said, I was never lost or didn't know what was going on so while this is the fourth book in the series it can be read as a standalone.

I was given this ARC in exchange of an honest review.

One more time I requested one book because of "Daemon and Katy" on the cover, #DaemonandKittenForever #Luxseries. And one more time I did not get disappointed.
I loved this book sooo much. It was well written and believable. Usually the books about triads aren´t believable at all. They treat the relationship between 3 persons like something usual and easy to acquire, and everyone around is full of support and love, which everyone living in the real world know that is not true.
And that´s why I loved this book so much. Matthew, Thea and Tristan had to overcome a lot of problems, with relatives, with each other and even with their own heads and hearts to accept what they needed to be happy.

It was a real relationship that they´re was trying to build, and as a real relationships they had real problems to solve and to evolve from.

This series has been outside the box with Uncut is no exception, and I have LOVED LOVED LOVED every minute! Matthew's brother and sister have found their calling, and their significant others on top of that. He feels like his parents are wondering when he's going to find his. No words are coming to the songwriter, and he's at the crossroads with no idea which way to go. He has no desire to define his sexuality, and love isn't even a blip on his radar until he meets them. Thea's childhood as the child of famous parents has been filled with darkness. She has changed her name and her appearance so no one will recognize her. Battling addiction, she hasn't wanted to add love to the mix, until she meets them. Tristan is running away from the life that has been mapped out, down to the woman he's supposed to marry. Now he manages his own businesses, but still lives in fear of who he really is. He's alone with no thought of love until them. Can 3 people with demons let down their walls to live a life in freedom and love?

WOW! The author took the intensity up several notches with this story. The character development is fantastic, with a fast paced, original, and well written story line that flows very smoothly. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough. Claudia Burgoa does a brilliant job with writing emotions that I physically felt, on top of keeping my heart pounding cover to cover. Her talented writing style captivated me from the beginning, while holding my hostage to the end, as I devoured this story in one sitting. The chemistry between the three characters is yummy, leading to SCORCHIN HOT sexy scene goodness that shouldn't be read in a public place. Of course after all of the twists and turns, the author still decided to end it with a cliff hanger that had me yelling. I CANNOT WAIT for the next book, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

So excited to finally read Matthew's story and I was not disappointed. Honest, care-free and full of so much love, Matt falls in love with two people. Thea is a bartender at a local watering hole. She's had a tumultuous life and is afraid of Matt finding out who she really is. Tristan had a purely sexual relationship with Matt, but was unable to come out of the closet so to speak. After a few months, they crashed and burned. They both happen to fall for Thea and fall for each other again. An unusual relationship forms, but they mesh well as a trio.

Thea must face her past and Tristan must let go of his family and his self-hatred for the relationship to work, but it's easier said than done. There will be ups and downs, doubts and pure heartbreak for them. Will the love survive?

Matt was the saving grace for this book. A wonderful man who has no doubts about who he wants and will do everything in his power to make them happy. With the loving support of his family, he accepts and knows who he is and anything else doesn't matter. I absolutely loved him. Tristan gave me the most heartache. I couldn't understand why he continually chose his family, even though they abused him over and over. He broke my heart twice and had me in tears thinking this relationship will never work. What an emotional ride for the readers.

Couldn't have asked for anything more. Well worth the wait for Matt's story and I can't wait to see what Ms. Burgoa has in store for us next considering the little surprise in the epilogue.

A very different story about a triad that struggles to make it in a world that does not always look favorable upon different life styles. Matthew is open about his sexuality and his family accepts him for who he is without question. Thea comes from a horrific childhood that has forced her to close herself off from anyone as a way to protect herself. She meets Matthew in the bar she works in where she is struggling to maintain her sobriety. Tristan is a very confused young man who finds himself attracted to both men and women however he has spent his childhood being told that attraction to men is wrong. His parents are very close minded and go as far as sending him to a camp geared towards changing his sexuality.

The story follows the triad as they try to come to terms with their attraction to each other and the pressures of the outside world. Thea's background threatens to ruin everything with Matthew while Tristan's family threatens to ruin the entire triad.

I have not read any stories in this series however it did not prevent me from thoroughly enjoying this book. I loved that while the triad was the main focus of this story, you also felt close to many of the other characters in the book (Gabe, Chris, Mason, AJ, etc...).

Some parts of the story were drawn out while other parts seemed to have been rushed through (especially near the ending).

Overall a great read which really makes you appreciate the unconditional love some families can provide.

This was a strong 3.5 stars for me. As a rule, I enjoy menage stories, and this one didn't disappoint. I haven't read the first few books in this series, and you don't need to for this one to make sense, but honestly think I would have enjoyed this one even more if I had (the secondary characters in this book play a pretty large role, and were the main characters in the previous books).

Thea, Matt, and Tristan are not a match made in easy-going heaven. Tristan has issues about his sexuality, Thea has issues about her past, and Matt has issues with the fact that the two people he wants have issues. Its a cluster of problems. The story progresses fairly slowly, with their relationship developing over months and then years. They each have to go through pretty painful individual struggles, but their love for each other is very obvious and beautiful.

The first few chapters were a little disjointed for me (which could be because I didn't read the previous books in the series) and I had a hard time following what was going on with the characters (as their emotions were all over the place). With that being said, I did enjoyed this story (I finished it in a day, and it isn't short), especially after the 30% mark when you really got to see their relationship develop. This book is written with each chapter a different POV between the MCs. If you like romance, specifically MMF, I would check this one out. I think I'll go back and read the first 3 books now!

Honestly, I never thought I'd be reading something like this. But since I love the Colthurst-Decker family, I was not going to pass up Matthew's story.

At least I wasn't surprised like I was in the first book, Unlike Any Other. That took me off guard, lol! There was already a hint towards the end of book three about Matt's interest with Tristan, who is Jacob's business partner. We are introduced to another character, Thea, who also catches the attention of both Matt and Tristan. But there is a twist to Thea's story. That, I didn't see coming!

An unusual love story that will keep you turning the pages, and probably lose some sleep over, I know I did! It was hard to phput down!

This was my introduction to this author and it's a great story. This is about Matthew, Thea and Tristan and their love. Matthew loves who he wants and it doesn't matter if its a man or woman but he doesn't hide who he is. Thea has a past that she wants to keep in the past and is looking forward but didn't count on love. Tristan was told from early on that it was bad to be with a man and now he can't be open when he wants to be with one. These 3 come to fall in love with each other and as they work out being a triad will their love be enough to keep them together?

WOW, this book isn't what I expected at all but in a good way. This is a story about 3 people who love each other and how they handle that with themselves and their families. Like real life it's never easy loving someone and you don't always have the support of everyone and for Matthew, Thea and Tristan it's harder. You really get to know them and their families, both good and bad. The book has surprises, makes you laugh, yell and cry but you're always routing for them get what they want - to be with each other. Can't wait to read more in this series. I received a complimentary copy in exchange for a honest review.

An emotional and beautifully written, unconventional love story. Matt is the most loving and open of the Colthurst-Decker triplets. His capacity for love and acceptance has no limits. It is only fitting that a man so open, true to himself, and unwavering in his beliefs should have not one, but two soulmates.

Thea is a lovely character. She has faced some demons and struggles, taking each day as it comes.

Tristan is battling his past, his present, his family's expectations, and his own wants and desires.

In each other, these three find love...and home. But is an unconventional love shared between three people enough to last and stand true against the outside world?

Burgoa does a wonderful job peeling back the layers of love, the human psyche, society, expectations, judgement, acceptance, and family.

Though Tristan is not my favorite character, and I'm left holding on to a lot of issues regarding his behavior, I very much enjoyed this book. It's a wonderful addition to the series, and I recommend this to anyone looking to broaden their horizons on what it means to love and be loved.

Uncut
The Unexpected Series #4

Love is a sentiment between a man/woman, man/man, woman/woman, but can you have a love between a man/woman/man? Let MJ Decker tell his wounderful story, you will fall in love with him.

Matthew "MJ" Decker is the last triplet that will share his story and his journey is as unconventional as his family but that will not stop you for falling in love with his big heart. Thea and Tristan will add the sizzle to this passionate story.

MJ, Thea and Tristan will put a nice twist to this unconventional relationship. The love, loyalty and passion this three will show you that love can be shared between three when is from soulmates like this three.

I was taken back when I read this story didn't know what to expect but the more I read the more I wanted to see how this trio would make it work and believe me it was the best of the series by far. You do not want to miss this and the rest of the series.

This was a fantastic read! I’ve read all the other books in this series. All are great but this one is a Top Read 2015 for me!

Matthew Decker is a free spirited, free loving, talented musician. He’s never been in love and never been in a serious relationship.

Thea Dennis is the beautiful bartender in the bar where Matt scouts for new musical talent. She hides a terrible, troubled past and, every day, she fights her alcoholism.

Tristan Cooperson is Matt’s brother’s business partner. He’s repressed and hides his sexual orientation from his strict, Catholic family.

Told from three POVs, this was such a beautiful and complex novel about an unconventional love. It was about three people finding their way to each other, and trying to make their ménage work by overcoming their individual issues, with plenty of hiccups along the way. It was full of angst, hurt, tenderness, joy and amazing chemistry – some of the scenes were seriously hawt!!

Thoroughly, thoroughly recommend!

OMG Claudia you rock.
I was given the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review and what can i say??
I loved it. I've read all the books of this series and this last one made me think that not everything out of the perfect and normal situation or ralationship is bad, on the contrary my friends this book is intense, hot as hell, with lots of passion and more important friendship.
I can't say too much because i refuse to spoil but this is the story that you all should read.
This is the story of Thea, Matthew and Tristan.
This could be the typical story about the boy who meets a girl, that fall in love and live happily ever after, or this could be the normal friendship story between to guys, but, what i can say is that things will happen that will change their lifes for ever.
This was the first book that i read like this, but this amazing author and friend is a master with words, she captivated me from the beginning.
I'll leave you with one advise, read the other 3 books first and the read this one.
Now i'm anxiously waiting for the next book.

Thought provoking? Yes! This book takes the reader by the hand and guides them in this soul searching journey of the acceptable love affair. We dare to ask what is the definition of love, and what we find is that love is defined by the persons involved in the relationship. The heart feels what it feels without a pre-defined design dictated by our culture or civilization. It not ours to command, just to experience.

Although this is an unusual love story, it is beautifully written where it becomes more a journey of feelings as opposed to a shocking experience. The characters are so well defined, we empathize and understand their decisions and emotions as our own.

I have followed and read this author's books throughout her career. I have experienced the growth and maturity of her writing gift, and can unequivocally assert this is her best book yet.

I beta read this book and received a copy from the author in exchange for my honest review.

OMG, this fourth book is another beautiful epic love story in the Unexpected series! It masterfully tells the tale of how three people navigate their differences, fears and struggles, bridging them together in hope and love. Matthew is such a wonderful character, who is funny, loyal and protective. Tristan is attracted to both men and woman like Mattie but his parents have convinced him it is so shameful he hides who he truly is. Thea is the woman who has survived her own demons and is filled with hope and life. After a failed relationship Matthew and Tristan are brought back together with their mutual attraction to Thea. Of course it is never so simple and Ms. Burgoa exquisitely weaves a story with intriguing and complex characters learning to trust and love unconditionally. This series continues to prove that love has no limits and bounds but is beautiful and pure in all its manifest glory.
