This book is for couples who is married or who are getting married. God made sex for married couples. Temptation can be a bit over powering to the human mind and body The content of the sex strong.
I really enjoyed this read. Although it wasn't that long the point was about faith, patience and love. This book help me to believe that real love really exist. Also I was impressed how the author help us to see that the flesh can be weak at times, but again we have to let patience have her perfect work. What God has for its for you ...just wait on it!
Grace was a young lady that lost her mom at birth and lost her dad due to violence. Grace dad did not show her love while raising her, so she did not know how to show love. Grace moved in with her aunt and uncle after the death of her dad. Peter met Grace and church and tried to approach her but she was not hearing it. This book tells how one deals with faith, patience, and love. Wait on the Lord!!!
A romance story with a Christian theme but urban writing. This love story does not quote scripture but is written in a language that is not suitable for the under 18 reader. Written with enough quickness to keep things spicy and let's the reader know that Christians make love too.
I really enjoyed this book. It make you cry, and pray while giving God the glory even though it fictional it still have so much warmth and character . great story .
This was a great book I really enjoy reading about romance and Christian romance makes it such a better read. Please write more about this couple and others.
Thanks Shannon for a riveting read. Just what is needed in everyday living and loving. This is possible when God is in control. You area very great writer.
I absolutely LOVED this book, as soon as I read the premise, I knew it was going to be my next book and I read it without interruption. One of the things I liked about it is that the heroine, Grace, had real reasons to be leery of the hero, Peter, and to reject him at first. I loved how principled she was despite the circumstances of her upbringing. She didn’t have a smart mouth and when she was rude, she immediately regretted it. I could actually connect with her. As for the hero. Loved him too, but I did get the feeling that he was partially driven by lust. This was a clean Christian romance (love scene only after they were married) but they went pretty far in their make out sessions prior to marriage. But it was all good. The author did not quote scripture as in other Christian romances I’ve read. Another thing I really liked about this book is that the conflict that threatened to come between the couple was excellent. No other woman or meddling parents. My one critique about the book is that it was hard to believe that Grace made it through college, but was still living in the hood with her dad even tho she had a degree in education and the means to get out. When the book first started and this was explained--that she was stuck in the ghetto with her father--I thought she was fifteen. Turns out that she was a grown woman. In any case I really enjoyed this book and will be looking for others from this writer.
I really, really, really wanted to like this book, but the story seemed rushed & I really wasn't feeling the characters at all. The bonus book at the end was not Christian. :(
This is the 1st book I read by Shannon Gardener. I liked the church gospel feel of story. The story line & characters were boring. The characters didn't grab my interest into the story. I would read other books by Shannon Gardener.
