.This pick-a-path series gives the reader the chance to make the decisions, and choose how the story goes! It’s the last day of school and Frankie Jones is looking down the barrel of a boring summer with only her guitar for company until … She gets a surprise chance to go to London. She’s dying to go – except that it will mean seeing her heartbreakingly cute British ex-friend. OR … Her dad invites her on a beach holiday. Which sounds great, except his new girlfriend – and her daughter – are coming too. Follow your heart right to the end, or go back and choose all over again.

It's been years since I've touched this book yet the memory of it makes me wince. It's so bad. I picked this up from the annual book fair in year 4 because it looked nice and a 'choose your own story' type book intrigued me. I couldn't finish this book because I actually had standards, and this managed to break them. Liked the concept and really, really wanted to like the story but couldn't bring myself to. p.s. Frankie is the worst.
I randomly picked up this book because I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid. I'd never seen one quite like this so I decided to give it a go. I took several different paths to get different iterations of this story.
It was ok! I knew it was a YA but I didn't expect the main character to be thirteen years old lol But really, it was a fun, simple little trip of nostalgia.
Okay, so I kinda knew that this one would be either bad or good. I mean a choose your own adventure romance? Awesome! If it actually can capture the romance parts and pull you in like a normal romance book can.
The problem with this one is that the author had too much room where she was missing description, and the book was just boring.
I mean, go to a party or not go to a party.
Gotcha. Go to the party, or your sister and you won't bond. Sure if you get in trouble your dad will be super mad, but come on. He can forgive you. Nothing bad could happen right?
The only thing driving me through this book was, what did I want to do? You know. Without thinking of the consequences, because the main character was almost unreal. She got in trouble for nothing. WHAT IS THIS TEACHING??? You can go to a party (and not get in trouble) even if your parent says no? What if something happens to you or your sister?
Great book guys. Teaching great things to children who will run our society once we are gone. The book was too short as well. I mean sometimes things come back and hit you in the face, but it takes time. At the end it seemed as if the main character just decided to break more rules, forgetting about them after a while.
WARNING!!!! I TOOK THESE PATHS, ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS BOOK WASN'T COVERED IN THIS REVIEW. INCLUDING IN THIS AGE RECOMMENDATION.
-Beach -Party -Keep Quiet -Gets ears pierced
AGE RECOMMENDATION: Perfectly clean, good first romance for a 4-5th grader. Read my review above though for some of my concerns.

Achei a ideia excelente e divertida. Eu me apaixonei pelo livro. É leve, rápido e divertido! Vale a pena a leitura.
Dang. I enjoy the heck out of choose your own adventure style books. This one is a cute fluffy teen summer romancish book. I recommend the beach storyline a little more than the London storyline. But yeah worth a read if you want something light and wholesome. :)
I have never read some book with this genre and it was incredible!! I plan to read more books like this cause I really enjoyed and it was pretty written
Chose Your Own Adventures fascinate me because I always seem to come back to the choices and when I finally put down the book I've read every possible ending. But I still love it. I love that you create the story, have the opportunity to mix things around, and read it differently from your friend. This particular book was a slightly easier novel then I would normally read but I thought the layout was great and there were two well-written stories going on at once. A hot cold summer really outlines and gives you an insight into the famous teenage years. The book was a bit more lovey-dovey than I like but I thought as a romance novel that it was good.
I was pretty excited to find a choose your own adventure book with a romantic twist. I loved choose your adventure books as a kid, but this one just left me feeling lackluster. Too many pages between the options and never once did I get eaten by a giant red-eyed spider. Yes, I know it's a romance, but I didn't feel the excitement I had as a child. I didn't end up finishing it, hence the 1 star.
SUPER quick and easy read, but for a very young reader. It was a cute and well written book, just not really my style. I just happened to have it on my bookshelf and have this weird rule that I can't get rid of a book without reading it. Weird, I know.

I didn’t think this was terribly well written, especially all of the endings; however, I really appreciated that although decisions affected outcomes, none of them were tragic like the Choose Your Own Adventure books that I read and loved as a child. And this really was geared for young teens. But it made me think about the stress I feel at seemingly pivotal moments. Perhaps, just like this book, as long as we’re making our decisions with sound reasoning, whichever choice we make, the outcomes will still be okay. Everything will work out.
It was okay. I read all options and didn’t care that everything had a happy ending. Even when she made bad choices like sneaking out of the house, lying and getting ears pierced without permission. In fact sometimes the morally questionable choices had better consequences than morally sound choices.
I know many young girls must love this book. It is fun to choose the next step in the story! My problem with it is not with the story line or writing style at all, but as a mom. The main character is too boy crazy for my taste. Otherwise it is a fun, easy young adult read.
It was kinda good, just when you don't wanna think about a book too much (but some choices were hard af). Maybe the next time I'll choose some other options because the end wasn't what I expected and hoped for.
DNF & unrated. The problem was with my expectations. I somehow got the idea that Frankie would be 18-19 years old, and she’s 13. I’m not interested, and I will rehome it to someone who can appreciate it more.
Read this as PaperPie (Usborne) has them and I like to be aware about our older children’s fiction. Not my favorite, heavy on romance but I did enjoy how you could read different parts to change the story. Very fun idea!
It was a extremly easy book to read, but it was very predictable and got boring at some parts. When she didn't ended up with either of the boys I wasn't shocked.
