Surprisingly bad. So often, these business plan books are written by individuals who betray their own lack of business insight.

Would have liked to see a sales funnel or marketing plan in here. A pro forma, 3 statement model. A fund-raising plan.
Really, every part of the business plan should come back to the 3 statement model somehow. Ultimately, that is what determines the value of your equity.

This book missed a chance to be a workbook that guided someone through the process of writing an amazing plan.

Questions you didn't even know to ask

Have you ever been ready to begin something and realized you didn't know where to begin? You don't even know what questions to ask because there are too many in your own thoughts and too little knowledge to actually know what you need to ask. This book in just the first few chapters answered so many questions and opened up a whole new world for me without being long winded or preachy. The facts are here and are simply guiding you step by step. This book is a pleasure to read and I would recommend it to everyone thinking about starting any business. You don't need to be afraid. Well done Mr. Genadinik.

A short, concise and actionable book to create your first business plan if you absolutely have no idea what you are doing. The reading is light and conceps of business planning are well explained. The book leads you to create your plan gradually from a short three sentence plan to a comprehensive plan. The author apparently knows what he is doing when it comes to creating businesses and motivating people, in which he has extensive experience from coaching and founding his own businessses. Well structured, based on examples and actionable advice, will cenrtainly help you to transform your idea to a business and to develop the idea properly.

Good, concise overview to Business Planning

I enjoyed Alex’s book and found it to be a good, concise overview to Business Planning. I just wish he had free Microsoft Office or Google Doc templates to leverage. Maybe his web site does offer those and I will check it out, but there’s no reference to them existing in this book that I remember.

Amazing, easy read

Love the fact that Alex speaks in non technical terms in a tone that is easily relatable and inclusive.

Loved the flow of the book - Would have wanted to know a bit more about what to consider for building a business within an existing business

There's no way to write a business plan with This book

This book is a kind of brainstorming without any logic. Explain some tips but is not an ordered cuide, can be confusing for new entrepreneurships

I found that this book was able to help me write a decent sized business plan. I am not proposing to anyone, but I wanted to utilize the concept to give form and direction to an idea I have been entertaining. The true testimony of this review will be if this business idea succeeds in real life execution. When it came to writing the different parts of a business plan, it would have been a 5-Star book if the author gave free resources to help answer or fill-in certain areas of the book (eg. to find out where you can look for demographic information on your particular business idea). Nevertheless, I would still recommend this book.

This is a pretty solid little book on writing business plans for those just starting thinking up or starting up their businesses. Written in an easily understood template format, it’s slightly lightweight but my guess is that most people just starting out don’t need anything more complex than this. Why muddy the waters unnecessarily? This answers most basic questions and really has all you need to get going. Recommended.

Buy it!!!

This is EXACTLY what I needed to get comfortable with the idea of putting my business dreams onto paper and then actually effectively communicate my ideas to others. The ideas were swirling about in my mind and I couldn't figure out how to express them - until this book appeared. Ridiculously easy read with no BS as filler.

Thank you Alex!!!

This book didn't really work for me and didn't do much on a business plan, only what he did or other business not of my interest.

There was very little I highlighted or could use.

Disclaimer: I purchased a copy and giving my honest opinion.
