A vigilante with a connection to the Other Side, Sarah Roberts has faced several enemies throughout her career. But in Losing Sarah, the enemy is herself. Addicted to heroin after her captivity by the Enzo Cartel, she’s looking for one more fix to gather the strength to fight the urge.
She finds a dealer in Mexico, but the transaction is interrupted by a robbery at a casino, leaving Sarah in police custody. Burnt out, in withdrawal, Sarah feels lost, finished.
She didn’t tell Aaron Stevens, her boyfriend, where she was going, and now he can’t find her. He pools his resources with their trusted friend, Parkman, to search for Sarah, and they discover something suspicious.
A man from Sarah’s past, who died years ago, is seen on the hotel lobby’s cameras talking to Sarah before she disappears into police custody. Her reaction on the video tells Parkman she is as stunned as he is to see this man back from the dead.
Sarah is released from the Mexican holding cell and falls into the clutches of a woman bent on revenge for past transgressions and rich enough to mete out violent consequences.
Hope is an expense she can’t afford. The currency of faith bleeds her dry. When Vivian deserts her, Sarah has to rely on her bruised wits to stay alive, and in Losing Sarah, that’s just not enough.

This was quite a ride. I didn't think my girl would make it. Jonas Saul had all of my emotions standing at attention on this read. I'm almost hesitant to read on.
A lot of people try to latch on to or blame her for other's mistakes. This time its a crazy rich woman who hates men. I never could figure out why she would want Sarah dead. The only sane thing she did was get Sarah off heroine after the cartel got her hooked by force. The heroin story line was not my favorite because I hate any illegal drug that can be shot up. I've always seen Sarah as stronger than that. The rest of the plot was awesome. Old characters from other books come back. Excellent read. Excellent ending and set-up for next book.
To ever give a Sarah Roberts book less than 5 stars would feel disloyal. At this point many books like this would have gotten stale, and you wouldn't be able to not think "what the heck else can happen to this girl?" Maybe that part of the beauty. Her endurance. Her belief that she has to try and right these wrongs at any cost. Maybe it's just that at this point as a reader these character have become your friends and no matter what you have to know what happens next.
Good story starting where he left off with Sarah, not to worry it stands alone. I am not so sure about Aaron leaving Parkman, especially the second time, out of character. Then chapters go by without knowing about Aaron? Then you find out the Canadians got him, not knowing how—-Not in Saul’s style, an oversight in a rush to publish. Sarah and Vivian are up to it though.A good read. 5
The margins of Survival Shrink even as the Stakes Rise
Across continents with death stalking her every move Sarah moves facing jeopardy every move she makes. There are moments of doubt and fear yet her dogged determination and belief in her dead sister continue to propel her in and out of danger yet again....
The Sarah Roberts series is a great bunch of books to read I'm enjoying it tremendously. Sarah can really get herself in some of the most outrageous places. But always seems to find a way out.
I am always on the action side of all Sarah's adventures. This takes a whole new perspective. Such sensitive struggles and emotions. Fight, even if you want to give up. Thank you Sarah.
Sorry I couldn't resist but thankfully there wasn't an explosion with Sarah as the victim. I loved the cliffhanger at the end. Can't wait to read Vivian's time capsule.
A moment in time - Jonas delivers another smashing SRTB
Losing Sarah was a great read as I am hooked on the series. Jonas has a keen ability through the eyes of Sarah and the psychic of her sister Vivian an his cast of supporting men in the SRT books to thrill you to the last cliffhanger word. This books ending was superb as I'm sure that readers like me are biting at the bit the read about Sarah's moment in time as we find out how Jonas will deliver the sequel!! Ronn Just Ronn
I had a hard time with the description of this book because I couldn't stand the thought of witnessing Sarah suffer withdrawal symptoms. I am glad that it played out the way it did and she is still Sarah. It is always awesome to reconnect with characters from previous books and "Whitman" was awesome. With no book 17 yet, time to let Sarah enjoy her vacation before venturing into Vivian's next mission. Thank you Jonas Saul for all the good reads ;)
There are many books that I start to read and it takes forever to get thru-not Sarah Roberts books by Jonus Saul. I can not stop until the end. From page 1 - the ride never slows down. Have read all of this series so far and will continue as long as these books keep coming. Great read!!!
I just finished reading Losing Sarah for the second time as a refresher before reading The Pact which became available today. This is the best series, which I've been reading for years and can promise that each novel just gets better. GET CAUGHT READING
