I am an unapologetic romance lover. I read it. I write it. Enough said. Well..I also have a warrior way "Never give up on my dreams." I spend a copious amount of time drooling over Rick Grimes from Walking Dead, watching Japanese anime and playing video games with my love, Dusean.

Nothing like the first book. Heroine was way too sappy for me. The good old door mat. Where or where is the bad ass female she was in the last book? Her Vagina ruled her that's what happened, In serious matters in the book she was all melting, her insides were on fire!, blah blah. I wanted to slap her like a billion times.

***** Plus He CHEATED. The classic case of "Oh i need to F'ck someone else to get her out of my mind...." OK no he didn't F' the other chick but blow jobs are cheating too me! ****** He was such an arrogant ass.

And guess what it took ohhh 5 min for her to forgive him. Because she was just so hot for him.

Sooo NO sorry DNF 49 percent.

What a DICK. (I really didn't like him anyway)

Scifi/fantasy

I'm all conflicted on how to rate this. I kept reading but I was pissed about a scene that happened. I also didn't feel an intense EC between H/h. The author is an engaging storyteller.

Spoiler trigger warning:

I read thru KU.

I was so excited about this book because the first book quite impressed me. I'd say this book did not disappoint me but at the same time did not really give a me a strong post-reading buzz because after the great build-up throughout the story, the ending is a bit abrupt and cliffhangy.

There's a lot going on in the story it's a bit hard to catch up on the terms and the situation as some of the scenes in the book took me awhile to imagine (i'm a visual person so i need to imagine what i'm reading and this story has a lot of swirling mess of stuff). The love story between Ajali and Tehdra is quick and hot but also gets sidelined by the dramatics that's going on every few pages. I'd say the story is definitely action packed, one book (this one) is not enough to really satisfy a curious ready like me, and so i have to wait for the next book for the story and the sinister plot to really unfold and see how the Darkans will eventually get the proper respect they deserve.

The main idea here of course is overcoming prejudice and working together towards a greater good. We will still not see this happening in this book as the villains are still plotting and revealing their evil schemes bit by bit. The good guys are still reeling from the attacks and trying to figure out who's the good and the bad guys.

The sexytimes between Ajali and Tehdra here should be mentioned as they are hot but not overt - no play by play description of what goes inside where and how fast, etc. What is not hot is the idea of a harem and a guy having access to hundreds of women who's more than happy to service him in any way (sorry, this just really annoys me). However, i am pacified because the heroine Tehdra, although forever fighting her lust for the super hot and hunky King Ajali of the blonde dreadlocks and phoenix-fire, manages to hold her own with her shadow skulking (cool spying method), demonic powers (scary and lethal) and all-around badassery (of the "touch my man and i'll kill you" type).

A great fun read, especially if you enjoy a fantasy adventure with a touch of sexiness. Looking forward to the next one.

After I read book one Eternal Darkness (The Amagarians, #1) by Stacy Reid I eagerly anticipated book 2. I was not disappointed. I finished reading a couple hours ago and I am still thinking about Tehdra and Ajali. Heck, I am not even sure what to write for my review, other than to say I fucking love this book. Love it! Tehdra is so bad ass. And now I am desperate to read the next in the series. I will post full review asap.

I highly recommned Eternal Flames.

***** 5 Amazing Stars *****

I was actually afraid to read this book because the first one was soooooo freaking good, I was terrified it wouldn't live up to my expectations. I am happy to say my fears were for nothing.

I was completely engrossed in this fantastical fantasy world that Stacy has created. The characters are unique, passionate, loyal, and kick -ass. The action and twists in the story just flow beautifully and keep you engaged and eagerly awaiting more. I am absolutely hooked.

Highly recommend!

Eternal Flames by Stacy Reid is book Two in The Amagarians series. This is the story of Ajali Haddin and Tehdra El kyn. This book can be a standalone from the the first book.
Tehdra is a strong warrior women who has been sent to hinder an assassin from killing Ajali. Tehdra pretends to be part of a harem which is totally out of her character. It doesn't take Ajali to0 long to know that Tehdra is more than what she seems.
I was excited about this series after the first book and so happy that this book lived up to my expectations! Loved it!

Wow again this book didn't leave my hand today until i reached its conclusion... The author has a beautiful way of writing and telling a story.

Tehdra on a mission from her brother is to weasel out any Darkens looking to assassinate King Ajali of the Nurian kingdom, entering as a concubine she enthralls the king nd in return finds her mate... But how to claim him when he adheres Darkage.

A huge 5 star this Athor is brilliant... Blew me away again.

I think I found the 2nd book more irritating the first. The writing was pretty well done and the plot wasn't shabby. The problem I had was with the characters.

Have you ever heard of a 300 year old virgin? The virgin who is supposed to be a spy and secret bodyguard by joining the king's harem. Harem, I kid you not. Harem that is famous for more than 300 beautiful, talented women trained is sensual arts. *Barf*

Has anyone ever wondered why beautiful, talented, skilled women would join a harem?

Anyway, so we have here a 300 year old virgin hooking up with a man-whore (and that is the kindest word that I can think up for him).

Now, let us talk about the inconsistencies. Because of course, even when you have a beast living inside you and are one of the finest warrior, a woman is not a MAN.

First, Darkans are possessive. For: Drac almost went to war with another king then to allow his mate to be married to another man (even when that was for the common good). Against: Ajali deliberately cheats on Tehdra and she is a little upset.

Second, Darkans are loyal. For: Drac allows himself to be separated from his mate as being together could lead to war for his kingdom. Against: Tehdra gives her loyalty freely to the the king who wants to bring down her kingdom.

Third, Darkans are dominant. For: I don't even to count the sex scenes of Drac where this is apparent. Against: Tehdra does what she is told because she belongs to Ajali.

Fourth, man always saves the woman. No matter if the woman is a Dracan and capable of saving herself.

Fifth, women loves their men. Men offers sex to women. Women are very happy about this.

Sixth, did I mention that the women MUST be a virgin (whether she is 150 or 300).

I could go on, but, I have no will to go through the book again.

In short, this is the epitome of misogyny. Says something, when even your fantasy world with powerful beings, is exemplification of male chauvinism.

Eternal Flames (The Amagarians #2) by Stacy Reid I found to be entertaining, fast paced and an enjoyable romance. Our female lead Tehdra El Kyn is sent to infiltrate the court of King Ajali of the Nurian Kingdom to stop assassins from killing him. She hopes to do this unnoticed but failing in that attempt and landed herself has a harem girl in the king’s wing.

Tehdra El Kyn doesn’t actually know how to be a harem girl because she’s a warrior; the king figures out pretty fast that she’s not what she seems. Luckily he doesn’t figure out that she comes from a land he usually considers his enemy. They play a game of cat and mouse while she tries to find the assassins and he tries to figure out what she is really there for.

The cons of this series for me is the names, many of them are awkward to pronounce. There are some spelling and grammar errors that normally don’t bug me much but were noticeable that I think another round of editing would be beneficial.

All and all it was a fun read and the world is an interesting one, I’m likely to read the third book when it comes out.

Amazing!!!

Another amazing story told by stacy Reid. It felt as if I waited forever for this book and it sure did not disappoint. I literally could not put it down once I started, so much to my surprise I finished in a couple hours. I am very happy with the outcome of the story, and I can't wait to see what will take place next, or who's story with come to light. Once again, absolutely amazing

HOLY SMOKES! THIS ONE WAS AS GOOD AS THE FIRST!
Ms Reid is officially one of my top favourite authors and it has been a delight to read the fictional world she has created - so much emotions, passion and danger!

Ajali and Tehdra didn't hold my attention in the first book, but apparently they do now!

OUR HERO:
After the first book, I wasn't sure what kind of a character King Ajali would be, seeing as how there is so much bad blood between the kingdoms that it is hard to identify friend or foe, depending on where you herald from. Nuria's culture, is loosely based on those Middle Eastern harem, even the sensual clothes of teasing silk. Ajali is a dedicated King, his duty is driven by the death of his mother and he holds a deep loathing for Darkans. It was nice to see him flustered by Tehdra's appearance in his life because obviously the man is well endowed that I doubt he appreciates it all anymore. It may have been a struggle for him to accept that his mate is a Darkan, but his loyalty to her later proves him worthy.

OUR HEROINE:
Tehdra is a fierce warrior however she is innocently beguiling to the likes of Ajali. I have always like my heroines untouched (it's a bit primitive of me, yes) but that only adds to their charm which is often sincere, devoid of cunning seductions and they love wholeheartedly which I approve! Tehdra is that and more as she battles with her inner beast that she has not bonded with and troubles herself with how she will ever be truly mated to Ajali.

OVERALL:
This book was captivating in its own way, that I do not compare it with the first. It is interesting to learn more about this fictional world, so far we know the Darkans, Boreas and Nuria but there is SOOO much more to explore! I simply cannot wait for the next story to indulge in.

With Reid's books, you will never be left wanting in the passion department. GODDAMN they were Ssmooking hot!

READ THIS AND ALL OF REID'S BOOKS. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Disclaimer. I'm a Stacy Reid fan. I love her historicals, and when her first paranormal book, Eternal Darkness, released, I was all on it. And after I finished, I was lusting after Ajali and Tehdra's book. And my lust was satisfied in Eternal Flames. Another darkly beautiful, sexy paranormal with heart-pounding action and twists I didn't see coming. Now that his alliance with the kingdom of Boreas through marriage is no longer possible, King Ajali returns to Nuria to regroup and plan. War and death has been foreseen for his kingdom, and he is willing to do anything--anything--to protect his people. Darkan warrior Tehdra El Kyn, twin sister to Drac, is bent on infiltrating Ajali's kingdom to find a Darkan traitor who plans to harm the king and throw the Darkans into war with the other kingdoms. In order to get close to the king, she must become a member of his harem. And quickly becomes his new favorite. Secrets, treason, espionage seethe under a lush background of beauty and sensuality. Falling for Ajali endangers Tehdra's mission, and Tehdra's people are the sworn enemies of Ajali's. The conflict is real! Hot, suspenseful, thrilling--Eternal Flames is a perfect follow-up to Eternal Darkness. I can't wait to see whose book is next! I'm hoping for a certain king's blade/witch... :-)

this author just lost my respect...

I adored the first book so much that i grabbed this one right after i finished it. I was hesitant about this one because the King was such an ass in the first one, but nevertheless, I read it figuring that he would end up redeeming himself. NOPE! I was wrong. He's just as big of an ass in this one too. To top it off, he cheats on her somewhere around 50% into the book. The worst part about the cheating is that it wasn't even necessary in the story! If the author cut that out, the book would have flowed even better (IMO).

I lost major respect for this author after reading this.

The whole harem this just creeps me out. They’re nothing but glorified whores or slaves tbh. They’re property. And I bet not all the women choose to be there. I’m absolutely sure some of their families pressured them. And they can be GIVEN to anyone the King wishes. Like what? Property. Oh here, borrow my concubine for the night. No biggie. She’s not a person. She knew exactly what she was getting into. Not my cup of tea. Kinda ruined the romance for me.

And the BJ scene. I thought when he was gonna take another woman from his harem, he would just kiss her or something and she walks in. Nope. The other chick was giving him a BJ. I mean— wow.

So 2 stars.

DNF

I couldn't get into this one at all - it was so boring to me. The first one was so much better. Where was Tehdra being the badass we all wanted to see? How could she let her mate get a BJ from another woman without annihilating that woman? If someone did anything with Saieke from book 1 Drac would have eviscerated the man.

I'm so sad because I was so looking forward to the rest of this series. Maybe I'll skip to Lachlan's book but I feel like I'll be missing massive parts of the storyline.

Great follow up to the first book. Tehdra and Ajali were great characters . The fight scenes were pulse pounding and had me on the edge. There was a moment in the book my heart stopped. Our hero Ajali has a harem with hundreds of concubine and he had one brought to him, to prove to himself he was not bewitched by heroine. Of course he did not go through with but still...lol. Still a great read.

Looking forward to the next one!

This was an excellent follow up to Eternal Darkness. Tehdra and Ajali story was captivating from the start to the end. The plot, the action, the socrhing chemisty between the two characters kept me up late into the night. The series is compelling and I am highly anticipating Lachlan, Acheron and Gidon's book.

——FATED MATES WITH FORBIDDEN ROMANCE.

SYNOPSIS : Tehdra is sent to Nuria as a spy where she learns the only way she can infiltrate King Ajali’s castle is by disguising as a girl for his harem.

CHARACTERS :

I liked everything about Tehdra who is a strong, brave, smart and beautiful woman who embraces the darkness inside of her. I really liked her never agreeing to betray her king and people but at the same time she was loyal to Ajali. Her relationship with her brother Drac is also really admirable.

Ajali is a good king who always put his people first and is willing to hurt Tehdra who he believes is the enemy before she proves him otherwise. Also I loved his relationship with all his kings blades who were so loyal to him. His powers of emitting fire was something astonishing to read about as well.

ROMANCE :

I really liked the romance in this one a lot more than the first book probably because of the setting. Ajali is the definition of a HOT man literally ifukwim and their sizzling chemistry is present since the very beginning of the book and omg! the first time he touches her damn that was one of the hottest scenes I’ve ever read.
So yeah from there I was very excited to see how their love story unfolds but alas their romance felt lust driven most of the times and the smut scenes became meh just cuz they couldn’t fuck in one place and kept flashing and moving around in the room which gave me whiplash.

Then came the whole mate thing which I’m not really a fan of and last time it caught me off guard but since this time I knew they’re fated mates since the beginning I wasn’t completely turned off. However I really like the last few chapters where Ajali makes a big decision going against his people for Tehdra. Grand gestures>>

3/5 on the spice scale 🌶️

REVIEW :

3 stars — the plot was more defined in this one and way better than the first book, not a fan of the abrupt ending tho, loved all the side characters which include the kings blades and the princess, Ajali having a harem of 300 women was comically unrealistic to me and the romance was nice but more focused on the lust than the love which is annoying but again i had a fun time reading this. With that all being said I’m really curious to see what comes next in the Amagaeri world since a lot has been left untold.

RECOMMENDATION :

Low fantasy with paranormal elements and some great romance your thing? Pick this up!

STACCCCY where have you been?

Again, I’m enthralled by this world that Stacy Reid has conjured. I do want to scribe a full length review but I just run to work. Gosh! I’m upset that only three books are available. Ooh and I’m hungry for the next one. There’s nothing I love more than a silent killer.

This book, at first, I thought I wouldn’t enjoy as much as the debut of the series- which would have been odd. Book one in a series is always special but it’s always small , when inspecting the whole lens of a sweeping plot. I always anticipate that in a book one and expect the sequel to blossom from it. Right - simple. This book EXPLODED in development of the war. Wayyyyy more action and bloodshed. I was thrilled seeing that both hero and heroine are predators of unparalleled levels. That was a huge plus.

The whodunnit factor was not the most unpredictable but That didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the story. I wonder and pray if we will be returning to the Kingmaker (one of my favorite creations in this bookverse) with the following story. The menaces of this chapter of the saga do have my attention and I’d like to see what else they pull from their sleeves.

The chemistry in this book was definitely an abstract yet tangible force. Again, I wasn’t entirely convinced in the beginning because I’m not seduced by instalust stories. I need a backbone to desire because attraction can wane. The compulsion is a huge commodity of PNR but that’s not without its merits. I have to say after 50 or 60% I was game for Tehdra and Ajali. I loved them from the start but they became a UNIT by then.

One more glorious thumbs up goes to the sequence of heroics each character had.

My critique, wishful and constructive, include reducing the sloppy typos. I saw a lotttt more errors in this book like misspelling chakra and inhibited instead of uninhibited. It takes from the flow. Also, the bonding scene felt a little drawn out. I also would have liked more suspense drawn out in the first third of the book before the first jig was up. I hope that was a vague enough description to not ruin the story for future readers.

All in all, I’m happy to say Stacy is going to my fantasy and PNR Faves library.

The Shadow Demon and The Phoenyx

Eternal Flames is book two in Stacy Reid’s The Amagarians Series. Each book in this series is a stand-alone with a HEA of somewhat. It is still recommended that you read them in order to get the full gist of what is going on as their are character cross overs. This book follows Tehdra El Kyn, Drac’s (book 1) twin sister.

Tehdra is a Drakan Warrior, sent by her brother in infiltrate King Ajali of the Nurian’s kingdom to find any of the Darkan’s working with the Mevin. To succeed in getting close enough to to make sure no Darkan kills Ajali, Tehdra joins the kings Harem, but she has no idea how to be a Hari only a Warrior.

I do have to admit I was a little disappointed with this book, book one Eternal Darkness was so good that I had high hopes for this. Now having said that it’s not that this book wasn’t intriguing, interesting or addictive, it’s that I was disappointed with Tehdra’s character. In ED she was a strong, kicka** female but in this she just seemed to c**k whipped, I know that her nd Ajali are mates but she was willing to forgive his indiscretion too quickly and easily.

The storyline and the characters are still enjoyable to watch grow and develop. More secrets and betray is uncovered, new bonds and allies are made.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/6.
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/6.
🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5.

I love this world. I loved how strong and fierce Tehdra was and i loved that was a warrior for her king.
Tehdra went to Nuria kingdom to spy and learn who was betraying her king but she got more than what she bargained for.
King Ajali seemed cruel in Eternal Darkness but once i started reading this i realized he was so much more. Ajali wants the best for his kingdom and that was his sole goal in life until Tehdra entered his life. Then all of the sudden he couldn't stop but look at this concubine of his that was a conundrum to him.
I loved how they couldn't help but feel the pull between them and although some sexy things happened early on, this was a slowburn between them.
I loved that we delved deeper into the powers Darkans possess and how Tedhra's demon worked. I liked why she exposed her secret and i loved how she managed to control her demon and darkness.
I loved Ajali's power, his phoenix. I liked that even his phoenix thrived in chaos much like Tehdra's demon. I loved how everything played out and I can't to read the next book.

A master piece!!

Omg this series just gets better and better I've absolutely loved the story so far. Such great character's and storylines the world the author has created is just simply amazing. I'm an avid reader of PNR with a touch of steamy bits in there and this story/series just has the whole package a nice balance between the romance and the main storyline and not to mention the amount of action from beginning to end. This book is Not just constant sex scenes with a bad guy being nothing more than a page filler I repeat it is NOT this thankfully. Buy this book it will be the best buy you've made all year 😍 and don't forget book one it's brilliant don't let the lack of reviews put you off I didn't. It's just so awesome I can't stress enough how good this book/series is 😀. All the stars in the sky from me.

Amazing! Five Stars!

I could not put it down! This was a golden addition to the series. It is sometimes hard to love a second installment as much as the first installment but this book exceeded my expectations. I expected Ajali to be this tyrant king and instead found myself falling in love with him. I enjoyed the softness he shows only to his mate and how he protected and loved her. I loved that he was this alpha male and Tehdra matched him in everyway. I am a die hard fan of strong female leads and I loved that she was the warrior queen we all hoped to see.

Can't wait for more!!!

Solid story overall without too much fluff in between

The good
- Solid growth for the Hero
- Decent smut level without sex being the only story
- Politics do not over run the romance
- I really like the heroines recognition and acceptance of her mate at the start of the book. Too often these books try to deny what the characters feel, but here she just lets herself be for what time she has

The Bad
- The heroine was a badass warrior but somehow that didn't come out till the end. I don't hold this as a big negative as she was "pretending" for much of the book, but somehow I still wished for more strength.

This book features the most ridiculous scene that ruined a book I already had negative feelings about. After a lot of tension and foreplay and ONE night of intimacy, the FMC walks in on the MMC getting his d*ck sucked by one of his harem ladies. And he told her it was because he was worried he couldn’t get it up for anyone but her and she accepted the explanation. Please don’t ever play in our faces like this, romance authors. It sends the worst and most toxic message about what women should tolerate in the name of “love.”

This book is disappointing because a strong FMC (300 years old virgin btw lol) became a weak person led around by her vagina. The MMC holds all the power.
