English for Fun

Rate this book
Was bedeutet »to open a can of worms«?

Humour is very much subjective and this book is very much a mixed bag. Between trying to inform and amuse, it didn't hit all right spots, but I was mostly entertained. Language-wise I found the Australian words new to me interesting and the words for groups of different animals (although I haven't yet been able to memorize them all). Humour-wise, the funny signs from other countries and (very oldschool!) the George Bush quotes made me laugh out loud. I think this book could be fun for English teachers to spice up some lessons.
