Holiday romance and mayhem from the international bestselling Annihilate Me series. More than 1.5 million books sold worldwide! After one hellish year, Jennifer and Alex decide to take a break from it all and spend the holidays back in Maine with their extended family, only this time they don’t choose their home on the Maine coast. Instead, they rent a mansion at the popular ski resort, Sugarloaf Mountain. And while they’re there, apparently everything that can go wrong does go wrong in ways that are designed to keep you horrified—as well as howling. After all, at Sugarloaf, a motherlode of surprises await Blackwell, Daniella, Alexa, Cutter, Brock and Madison (from “Ignite Me”), and naturally, also Jennifer and Alex. Could there be love in the air for Blackwell? And also for Daniella and Alexa? And if there is for any of them, what fresh hell does that mean for you—the reader? In “Annihilate Holiday”—in which Lisa, Tank, Epifania and Rhoda also are onboard—romance, love, sexy times and hilarity ensue! You must read volumes 1-3 of the “Annihilate Him” series before you read “Annihilate Holiday.”
Christina Ross began writing on nights and weekends while working as an intern for an international, iconic fashion magazine. After eight years, she left that position as an editor. Many of Christina's narratives reflect her background as an insider in the world of fashion.
Now, with a successful fashion career behind her, Christina divides her time between her apartment on Park Avenue in Manhattan and her new home along the coast of Maine. Christina loves spending quality time with her girlfriends in both locations. A lifelong animal-lover, Christina's favorite charity is the ASPCA, to which she encourages all her readers to contribute.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review. So I received this for a review. And man I am definitely not disappointed. I know that with series you think you will be rereading some of the same things. But let me tell you that is never the case with Christina Ross. I laughed and my heart was sad, I understood, I couldn't believe what I was reading.. I fell in love with characters and fell in love again several times. Alex never disappoints and Jennifer all you an do is love her. I was very suprised and thought things were going one way and I thought I just knew something was going a certain way and bammmm I was dead wrong. I look forward to hopefully more and more of christina Ross book. I am very thankful to have been chosen and now I will be rereading you know in case I missed something the first go round!!!
This is a holiday story of Alex & Jennifer. This story is about the continuing love story between Alex and Jennifer. It’s also about new love stories being formed between Blackwell herself, and her two daughters, Daniella and Alexa. Blackwell is VP of PR at Wenn. She brings so much to this story and the other box sets about Alex and Jennifer, with her funny personality. It’s also about Alex’s cousin Brock and Madison’s love, who both work at Wenn, also. I truly enjoyed this story. It is a must read. I’m looking forward to the other box sets by Christina Ross.
This Series is so interesting. I feel like I know everyone personally.. Only confusing is i can't seem to figure out which book is next as I am from one series to the next to read them in order as they tribulations begin. Blackwell with her tough personality some one see past that toughness and is able to convince her to try love again after a terrible divorce. Looking forward to finding this book in the series as I feel for her just wished that they can get more on this Marcus guy..
Dialog is awful. They talk and talk and talk any “say” nothing. I kind of liked Jennifer and Alex in the other Annihilate books but I’m done with them. Alex has become milk toast.. no personality except to do anything Jennifer wants. And she’s become all about fashion and designers. There were pages of dialog on who designed a dress or shoes!!! I’m done with the characters, the series and the author
What a lovely dessert!! Ms. Ross provided us with some beautiful closure to the “Annihilate” series with this Christmas story with many of the secondary characters finding love or at least the possibility of of it!! I absolutely enjoyed this book and love when authors respond to readers’ requests for more, more, more!!
Another great story and book from such a wonderful romance writer. I simply loved this story of love, friendships and most of all their ability to get past anything happening in their lives. If you want to read a book worth reading then you need to buy this next chapter of Alex and Jennifer's life. I recommend it with a 5 Stars review
I just love this little family and Blackwell's sense of humor and personality always makes me laugh at loud...her character is the funniest I've ever read if any book!!! So glad to see everyone coming together!!!
I wasn’t expecting Blackwell to find a new man nor was I expecting her girls to both find a man. There were definitely some twists that I didn’t see coming but loved them. I can’t wait to start reading the next book.
What an amazing series of books. The characters are somewhat believable. You have young women that are following their dreams. Meet and fall in love. Read all the books.
another greatest book by a great writer never disappoints.
I’m going to be sad when i finish this series because I’ve had such a delightful time & wish I could go on reading about all these characters for much much longer.
Annihilate Me 2: Holiday by Christina Ross is just the latest book in her connected series of books focused around Jennifer and Alex Wenn in the Annihilate Me universe. This book can be read on it’s own but you will not experience the depth of the story with out reading the other books first. You need to understand the characters and all that they have gone through to get to this point. This is not a cliffhanger, it has an ending, an ending that does open up to what you hope, expect, will be coming in future books.
The book takes place during the Holiday Season with Alex and Jennifer treating their friends, their chosen extended family, to a holiday, staying in a mansion in Maine at Sugarloaf Mountain. Blackwell, her daughters Alexa and Daniella, Brock and Madison and Cutter all accompany Alex and Jennifer on a trip that will have you laughing, tearing up, feeling hopeful and excited for the next book in the series. Your other favorites are not forgotten, Lisa and Tank, Epifania and Rhonda are a part of the story as well, just not in Maine. There are a few new characters introduced, that I hope we will see more of.
With all of the things that have happened to everyone in the last year this is a well deserved time away but of course things can never be easy for our Wenn friends and family. The things that go wrong will have you howling with laughter, the things that go right will have you sighing with love and understanding. The depth of love that these characters have for each other is admirable and deep enough that you will envy them their relationships. I will say that I laughed more with this book than I had with previous ones. One of my favorite moments is when Blackwell tries skiing for the first time. This is truly a feel good book.
Christina writes such clear, well developed characters that you feel as if you know them, that you are there with them and that you want to be a part of this chosen family. I am excited to have received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I can not wait for the next book in the series.
I have read alot of books and alot of series in my time, but I have never found another series that has continuously been able to hold my interest book after book. Usually after 5 books in a series, they really begin to get old and sort of repetitious, but not this series, or set of books that stem from the same series. There is nothing repetitious about Ms. Ross' books that began, and continue to tell the amazing love story between Alex and Jennifer, and for me that really shows just what an amazing author Christina Ross truly is! Not every author could pull off a continuing story of this size without it losing it's appeal. But each book that Ms. Ross releases, we either see a piece of the existing characters that we had not seen before or if we are really lucky she will introduce a new character or two for us to meet and fall in love with. This series would make an amazing television show or a wonderful mini-series! There is so much more I could say about this book but won't. I am not going to write anything that could spoil even one chuckle from a potential reader, because this book has laughter in spades! It most definitely has a fair share of steamy, wonderful sex scenes but they are definitely in good taste as always with Ms. Ross' books. I really look forward to reading more about all these characters. This series definitely started out about Alex and Jennifer but it has grown into so much more. Now it is about a beautiful couple that has built an amazing family and a loving fun group of close friends. I find myself looking forward to finding out what is going to happen with each and every character. The sign of a truly talented author is that each installment of this series is better than the last and never old or repetitive, and that is exactly what Ms. Ross has given us with this entire series. Phenomenal writing Ms. Ross!
A nice book to continue the relationships between all the characters we have come to love. I was really excited that everyone was trying to find love in this book.
I received an ARC from the author for a honest review.
I love this series - I love all the characters Jennifer/Alex, Lisa/Tank, Madison/Brock and Blackwell and I really enjoy the secondary characters and with each book I look forward to learning more about them all and in latest installment I certainly did.
Its Christmas time again and after the year Jennifer, Alex and all their friends had they need a much needed getaway. Told completely from Jennifer's POV you see how she interactions with all the characters especially Blackwell, Alexa and Daniella. So while the book is from Jennifer's POV there is some major story shifts (meaning intro to new men in their lives) that happen to the Blackwell ladies. Including some growing up on Alexa and Daniella's part and Alex stepping up and putting 1 girl in particular in her place (which I loved).
One of the things I love about Christina Ross's writing is how she sets up conflict with her characters; whether its a misunderstanding between them or an outside force it helps the characters grow and for them not to get to stale. Since this is the end of the year its much lighter than I would have normally liked especially for Jennifer and Alex, but I do see where the conflict could be in the future installments and I cant wait. I am also waiting for the dialog with Alexa and Daniella start to change and move forward a bit - as they grow up I am hoping with each book they will mature more and in this one I am starting to see glimpses of that.
All in all loved this latest installment in the Annihilate series and am looking forward to what is next.
I loved this opportunity to catch up with Alex and Jennifer especially, as well as the other members of their extended family (Lisa, Tank, Barbara Blackwell, Cutter, Madison, Brock, Blackwell's daughters as well as Rhoda and Epifania). This book is full (of laughfter, love, carring). I would rate the story itself as 4.5 and give it a sexy rating of 5, due to Alex and Jennifer!
I especialy love that Ms. Ross continues the characters from one book to the next so that we gain insight into them as they grow and she carefully adds new characters. One of the things I like about Ms. Ross's books is that even though you know the characters, things are new and fresh with each book. She creates characters that come alive and you feel your with special friends. She introduces realistic elements into the stories, for example Blackwell, a woman in her 50's, meeting a man while on that 4 day holiday.
I have had the privilage of reading all of this author's books and while this particular book might be considered a stand alone, you really get so much more out of the characters and understand them better if you start from the beginning (Annihilate Me) and read through all of the books in order.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ this book! I loved every last word! I'm never disappointed by any of this author's books, and this book is no exception. I wish there was more of Lisa and Tank in this story, but that's just me being selfish. The dialogue is so well written. The character development is so complex, and the banter that I've come to expect in these characters just gets better and better with each book. (And I didn't think that was possible!" There were a few surprises that I really enjoyed, specifically with Daniela. She has always sort of irritated me, and I have been waiting for someone/something to happen that puts her in her place. Then I suddenly found myself really rooting for her in this book, and am looking forward to more of her story. Who am I kidding, I want more of EVERYONE'S story! I can't wait to see what happens next. Oh, and I really wish Blackwell was a real person, because I really want to give her a high five. And then have her yell at me for it.
As always Christina Ross comes through, this was a great read!! I absolutely love Alex and Jennifer and this was such a great holiday story. I love love love how Christina always includes other characters, she gives them their own little bit in each book. Blackwell is one of my favorites and I'm glad she is finally getting some happiness. Alexa and Daniella are back as well and for a while just like always I want to smack them both upside their heads but that is what makes them such special characters. I do love them as well and am very happy with how things are turning out for them. If there was one thing I had to be negative about it would have to be "GAME ON" that is the only thing in this book that I felt was over used. I really liked it between Jennifer and Cutter but the other places not so much. All in all I am truly happy with the book and look forward to others about this characters.
I loved this book couldn't put it down. This is a great story about really good friends and familes spending christmas together in Maine. When they first got there Daniella started acting up again so Alex had to put her in her place so she wouldn't ruin everybodys christmas. When they all went to go skiing Barbra met someone that seem to be into her. Later that night they went to a bar where something happened between Daniella & Cutter and Alexa & a young man that started talking to her, and mean while Blackwell was approached by the same man she saw while skiing. At christmas dinner everybody was shocked by what transpired with Blackwell and the gentleman and both her daughters Daniella and Alexa. Tank & Lisa spend the holidays with Tank's parents to get to know each other before they get married, but Lisa got the feeling that his parents didn't approve of her especially his mom when she found out what kind of books she writes.
I received an ARC of this title from the author in exchange for an honest review and here it is.
I've read and enjoyed every other book in this series but this one wins the prize for the most entertaining and surprising! Alex and Jennifer decide to get away from Manhattan for the holidays and rent a mansion in Maine near Sugarloaf, taking almost the entire cast of characters (minus one couple, Tank and Lisa) along with them. At the outset, Barbara Blackwell's daughters are, as ever, making demands about the lodging and are at their bickering best. Jennifer bribes Blackwell into going on this ski holiday with a Chanel ski suit (Blackwell on skis?), and they're off, and so is this terrific, very personal Christmas story about relationships and what it means to be a family. It kept this reader awake and reading until 4:00 a.m. Highly recommended.
I chose a five star review because it was worth that and even more. I so enjoy the humor you add to your books. I laughed a lot but also had tears. I have read this entire series from book one and can't wait for more. I am in love with Alex and Jennifer and can't forget Blackwell because she is so serious but with humor. I certainly will be telling my friends about these books. Anxious to see what happens to Alexander and Daniella in future books. The best part of this story is the fact that we may eventually see Blackwell get her happily ever after.
