All Penelope Foster wanted was a vacation in Vegas to escape a family tragedy. But when her car breaks down in the middle of the desert, it seems her holiday is destined for disaster before it even begins.
Until *he* roars up.
Tall and tattooed West Keller is a famous hockey player and notorious playboy. Penn Foster isn’t the kind of girl who would normally catch his eye, but something about the cute, vulnerable blonde appeals to him. He offers her a ride into the city with the expectation of never seeing her again—so what harm can one little lie really do?
Once Penn steps into West's truck, she’s swept up in the passion and excitement of their intense fling—a fling that’s quickly growing into something deeper as they discover they have way more in common than just hot sex.
But when the chips are down, Penn discovers that not everything about West is what it seems. She'll have to choose whether to walk away and cut her losses, or see it through and go all in with no fear.
Can she beat the odds and find true love in Vegas?
Jennifer spent most of her early twenties blocking shots in front of a deck hockey net, writing stories, and holding out for a hero.
Now, she spends her days and nights hunched over the keyboard, combining her love of hockey and writing into romance novels.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jennifer’s a die-hard Penguins fan who lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She takes her life in her hands every time she wears her Penguins jersey in the heart of Leafs Nation, but figures it’s worth the risk to represent her beloved Black and Gold.
Her days off are spent spoiling two crazy cute cats, reading, and obsessively watching Sons of Anarchy reruns.
What a great series. Love Penn and West. Amazing storyline dealing with sensitive subjects but delt with empathy and lots of love. You will need tissues as you will cry a lot. Emotional and heartfelt. Can't wait for the next instalment of Las Vegas Kingsnakes.
I loved Penn and West!! I have been wanting to read this book since I had read part of the first Chapter earlier. And it was not a disappointment at all! I think every female hockey fan dreams of moments like the ones in this book. All Penelope is trying to do is enjoy a week in Las Vegas with her best friend to forget her responsibilities at home for awhile. She has no idea what is going to happen when her car breaks down in the middle of the Nevada desert. West is traveling back to Vegas to get ready for the start of the season and a wedding after trying to escape some of his own personal demons. Penn has no idea who West is when he stops to help her out, but there is no denying he is a very attractive man. West likes the fact that Penn doesn't know who he is. It gives him a chance to just be himself and for Penn to know the real West. But what happens when the truth about who he is comes out? With all her responsibilities at home can Penn forgive and just live in the moment? Do yourself a favor and read book 1 and 2 in this series. You won't be disappointed!
Penelope and West are one of those couples that I definitely won't forget.. this book touched a subject really close to my heart.. it was hard to read some of it, but it was really worth it! I'm definitely a fan of this author's style because she not only writes the character's story.. she also includes the game that we all enjoy and love!!! I seriously can't wait for book 3!
Great story, love this series!! West and Penn meet by chance when he picks her up on the side of the road when her car breaks down, was it fate? Loved this hot love story. Love seeing more about the Kingsnakes. This is a great series and a must read specifically if you like hockey and the hot men that play it!
I've been waiting for this book ever since I read her debut! Totally worth the wait! I got emotional at some points, and it was a good read! Great way to kick off 2016. Can't wait to read the next one!
Awesome story. It has passion, suspense and of course romance. I look forward to the next book. Definitely gonna look for more books by this author. Although this is book two it can be read as a stand alone.
I loved Penn (very cool nick name) and West. I think their story was more real life then most romances, and I enjoyed the timeline. Def a good hockey read!
this was a good read, easy read if that. just wished for alittle bit more at the end and I liked the DPV and some from the secondary characters. I would recommend this book to read for a lazy day!
