The greatest need of the church today is the recovery of sound biblical preaching that faithfully explains and applies the text, courageously confronts sin, and boldly trumpets forth the sovereign majesty, law, and promises of God. It is for this reason that I am pleased to introduce The Lectio Continua Expository Commentary on the New Testament, a new series of expository commentaries authored by an array of seasoned pastor-scholars from various Reformed denominations on both sides of the Atlantic. - Jon D. Payne, from the series introduction

Great Commentary... The book got a little heavy on doctrine for this lay person, but overall I was glad I stuck with it thru completion. Even though it was a heavy read in the middle of the book, I would highly recommend this commentary to any lay person who want a better understanding of Hebrews... I will be waiting for the next book to come out.

Extremely helpful for preparing a series of bible study talks on Hebrews. Packed full of quotes from the big names of church history. The commentary is warm in tone and devotional without being simplistic. Recommend.

Helpful commentary with helpful pastoral/sermon fodder. Appreciated it very much. First in the Lectio Continua I've read, and certainly it's interested me in reading more.
