This book is without a doubt one of the funniest books I have read in my life, and I have read a crap load. I laughed out loud, and hard, throughout this book. The biting sarcastic wit and totally likable jerk of a main character was well done. I fully recommend everyone read this, especially if you can handle a non-fluffy sense of humor and enjoy a good laugh. I plan on reading this again and again.
The dialogue is very good and very funny. Interesting and unique plot and I liked Paul better as a teacher than a comedian. I also like the edgy humor and darker tone. The length was a good choice, it almost reads more like a movie script than a novella.
The standup made me cringe with embarrassment. The dialogue was good in substance, but strangely written which is probably why I felt like I was reading a script.
