About the author

Alastair Lamb was a Chinese-born British diplomatic historian who authored several books on the Sino-Indian border dispute and the Indo-Pakistani dispute over Kashmir. He also worked in archaeology and ethnography in Asia and Africa.

Great analysis on the origin of Kashmir dispute.However one can say there is slight bent of Author towards Pakistan's administration and ignoring her negative role in the birth of crisis, but clearly illustrates the mal practices ,willy nilly and bureaucratic somersaults of Mountbettan, Nehru , V.P Menon and Indian administration.
