Patricia walked along the side of the road slowly, thinking about her next mission. She would have to be stealthy if she wanted to bring back the book to her boss without being caught. But she was the best there was, so she didn't think she would have much to worry about. Unfortunately, that's usually when the most went wrong, in her experience, so she knew that she would be careful no matter how confident she felt that she would be able to pull it off.
The only reason why Tara even managed to come out to the party tonight was because Christine told her to. When she got there, she looked around sighing at the fact that it was starting to become even worse than before. There were people around, but she was just the +1 guest of her friend Christine. Tara wasn’t the type who liked these flashy parties, and for the record, she would rather eat dirt than go to one of these. It sucked, but there was nothing that she could do besides sit around and attempt to think of things other than the stupid party she was at.
Tanya Harding looked all over the place for her reading glasses but couldn't find them anywhere. She was distressed by the entire situation but she did not want to admit that to herself, so instead she chose to look quietly without alerting her best friends of the dire situation. They were going to be late if she didn't find her glasses soon and give the go ahead to leave, and that was something she wouldn't forgive herself for, considering they were surprising a friend with a road trip to her favorite baseball team's championship game.
Mel was the last to leave the office. She was excited to go home and feed her cat, Tommy, but that was to be expected.
It seems like everything she did these days revolved around her cat.
In fact, scrolling through her contacts list in her phone, the only male name that popped up was Tony. She wonders if she named Tommy after Tony or just liked Tony as himself. Sigh, never mind.
Hal Green walked as far as his legs would carry him before collapsing in the grass. He was filled with sweat and couldn’t figure out what he was supposed to do from there. He had been completely tired of the way he was treated at the office and had needed an escape. He was the son of the man who had founded the corporation, and as such was usually treated with a reserved amount of respect, at least until his back was turned and everybody complained that he did nothing to earn his keep there.
Sam Walker eased down the road, wondering what he should do about the intense feelings he was having toward the place where his company was about to do new developments. He was a big, head honcho type of man and wanted everything he did to be perfect and wonderful. However, it was pretty disturbing to consider that they weren’t always going to be able to do quite what he wanted and he was very disappointed about that.
