Dalton Carlyle. Remember that name.

You'll recognize me from three things: my flawless English accent, the rugged body I earned in the Marines, and the revolving door attached to my bedroom. If you're lucky, you might know me from the fourth... My rightful birth claim. the staggering, generations-old inheritance in my near future.

I've got big plans for the future, and no reason to screw it all up... Until I met her...

Call me Clara. My life is uncomplicated... just the way I like it. I spend my nights with a wide, fake smile and an hors d'oeuvre tray on my palm. It's a thankless job, exposing me to the worst of the rich and prodigal... but I know my place in the world. If that's the closest to the glamor I can get, I'll take it.

But then I met Dalton... He's crass, vulgar, but surprisingly warm. I saw something in him that night that I just couldn't ignore... and discovered a secret that threatened to separate us forever...

Arrogant Brit comes is a full standalone romance novel with a HEA and absolutely NO CLIFFHANGER.

I'm not sure I read the same book as everyone else....the cover is hot, the premise sounds good but the story? No.... the dialogue was ridiculous, it was so back and forth I had to re-read pages a couple times because it was so confusing... I literally only read about 5 chapters it was the epitome of every stereotype, Marine stereotype, English stereotype, teenage girl stereotype, rich parents stereotype that was so insane I literally laughed out loud a couple of times....Feel free to hate on me for my review, but.... I'm being completely honest I'm not sure how it has so many positive reviews.
I just didn't get this book at all...

DNF

I'm going to do my best to write this review trying to be honest and not insulting.

First, I really couldn't finish this book. It felt more like a YA book than new adult contemporary, British dirty mouth aside. I did like our heroine at first because she made our hero work for it. Very briefly. She was mouthy and I enjoyed that.

And I get people can have old souls, but I'm sorry this girl talking about the time she's with the hero being the first time in a long time, maybe ever she's happy. She's 18!! Yes, people can go through a lot in 18 years but it didn't seem like she did. But she could have, as again, this was a dnf for me.

And our hero.....ugh, he was 26 acting the life of a 20 year old. It was just bizarre for me. He was all about the hit and quit it, but he sees the heroine in three places in a matter of days and it's "destiny" and he's ready to change his ways. I realize this is the theme of a lot of books, but this one was such a quick turnaround it left me with no feeling. I want a book to piss me off, make me want to set my kindle on fire, make me swoon, get all girly and gushy. The 40% of this book I did read did not of that.

The reason for the two stars instead of one is the very few grammatical errors that were in it. I tried not to be insulting as I know these authors work hard on these books, but this book just wasn't good. It just wasn't.

This was a DNF for me, well actually I only made it to 5%

This sounded so good and the reviews are glowing so what went wrong?
Firstly the print size, I know I've complained about this before but this was the worst yet, with my kindle set to the smallest size the print is huge and I do mean huge, there's 109 words on the first full page and that's just ridiculous. Before this the record was 129 words per page compared to the average 250 approx.
Normally that alone would have been a reason to quit but I'm British and I really liked the sound of 'A British Bad Boy Romance' and so I put up with repeatedly turning the page but then Dalton made an appearance and I cringed
“That’s right, love. Just like that. Make my throbbing knob swell with pride.” My strong fingers threaded deeper through her curly hair. Her full, rounded lips hungrily bobbed up and down on my rigid scepter. Of course, she couldn’t take it all in.....
I figured is was maybe just a bad bit so I continued on but it didn't get any better and I was cringing and wondering why I was even trying to read it so I quit.
This book has so many great reviews so people must see something I couldn't.

A military man with a British accent? Where do I sign? ;o)

Well-written, funny and original. It has a different rhythm from other stepbrother romances I've read. Yes, Dalton starts off as a bit of a rude charmer and a womanizer, yet his interaction with Clara quickly develops into a relationship. Even though this is clouded by the impending bond of their parents, they act as a romantic couple almost from the beginning.

I really liked the good and fun writing style as well as the plot itself. A marine that's on the waiting list for a noble English inheritance with lots of strings attached. What surprised me most about this story is that it doesn't rely on lust solely to gain attention, though it's got its fair share of intense intimacy. Dreams for the future, family pressure, relationship issues and emotional obstacles typical of a normal couple are abundant in this story. I found that refreshing, true and entertaining.

The ending was romantic and fulfilling, and I loved the whole ordeal around the British inheritance. I think this novels is a good bet any day.

Great story about a man who is very “arrogant” and thinking he is God’s gift to women. He leaves one woman’s bed and heads to a banquet where he runs into another who is a server and hits on her there in front of his men. I loved how that lady put him into his place…and front there, love bloomed.

Dalton Carlyle, British bad boy fell hard for Clara and their relationship went thru the ringer. He was in the military and he is one hot bad boy. Clara works hard for her money. There are some serious twists and turns that takes their love story around and threatens to break those apart— secrets that could break them apart or make them stronger than ever. I loved how this story ended and I cannot wait to read another story by this author. The sex scenes are insanely good , especially when Dalton gets freaky hot. Clara is a sweet girl and she is someone who wants to protect the people she loves. This is a great read and I highly recommend it.

This was a tough read. At 25% in I still could not connect with the characters. With it being such a long book and no connection, I just couldn't continue.

I absolutely love Nikki Wild!!! all her books ROCK

Dalton is an heir to the Carlyle fortune! he has to keep the family name out of the papers to inherit said fortune. is dad was disinherited by his grandfather which makes Dalton next in line. he wants to give his father his inheritance when it all comes to him... he just needs to stay on track to keep the family image in good standing
Clara is a server for a waiting staff and is working a huge party for marines where she meets Dalton... he acts like an a$$ ~ she can't deny he's sexy as hell but she keeps her cool while he's being a jerk
Clara goes to a bar after her shift to wind down and to try to forget about the hot marine. Dalton just happens to be there as well and turns out he's not as bad as made himself out to be. they start to talk and drink. Clara gets toasted and Dalton steps up and sends her home with her roommate.
they both have to meet their parents for lunch tomorrow to meet their parents significant others ~ unbeknownst to Dalton and Clara their parents are an item
what a shock when they're introduced to each other at this same lunch.
and the plot thickens...
this book is a definite must for those that love their bad boys!

A Review of Arrogant Brit by Nikki Wild

A different type of stepbrother romance - 5 stars

Dalton Carlyle has it all. A big c*ck, plenty of money in the bank, and a staggering fortune many generations old, that will be his in just four more years. He has spent most of his life in America, put in eight years in the US Marines, giving him a rugged body and a revolving door to his bedroom. He plans on making sure his father is restored to the family finances when he gets his inheritance. He just has to keep up his good image - which he has no intention of messing up. Then he meets her.

Clara happens to be one of the wait staff at the banquet he attends for the Marines. He puts the moves on her, but she viciously shoots him down. But, fate has its own ideas. They run into each other again that same night, at a bar. He ends up doing the right thing and sends her home with her roommate when she becomes intoxicated - one of his rules is that he doesn't bed anyone drunk. He puts his contact information in her phone, asking her to call him the next day.

Definitely worth reading, with no cliffhangers.

Good stand-alone HE A story with 2bonus stories.

This story starts off pretty crazy, which is how the author ropes you in. The story is very detailed, well written, and you can connect to the characters. It's a story I would read again.
Overview:(May have spoilers). Clara is the typical college student working as a banquet server to pay her way through college. While at a banquet for the Marines, she meets an arrogant British marine named Dalton. He gives her help all night. After the banquet, she goes to a bar and soon finds a guy next to her giving her a bad time again, when she turns, it's Dalton again. He apologizes for his behavior and they get to know each other. They hit it off, but he sends her home with her friend. The next day, Clara shows up at her mom's to meet her mom's boyfriend. When she walks into the kitchen she is shocked to see Dalton and his father cooking. Their parents are dating. The two talk it out later. The first class of the semester, and they are in the same class. Soon they find that they both want more. But there are a few things that will hold them back, their parents, the family inheritance, and past relationships and fears.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. First off let me begin with I have to be fair that is what the author is requesting and while I don't agree with some of the reviews here I do see where some of them are coming from. This is my first book my this author and I guess I expected something a little how do I say this sexier. I read several books and each one has a different genre and I felt maybe this book didn't quite fit the genre it has been placed in. And there for people were a little disappointed in it. The characters Dalton and Clara are great characters they just needed a little bit of a boost and I can't say anything bad it did take me a while to read it as I would read it and then stop and come back to it again. But that being said I see where the author was heading with what she was writing but I think that it could have been taken to a higher more exciting level. I believe that maybe it could have been rushed or just that maybe as with anyone reading a book not all people like all books they read. Sometimes books just don't click with a reader and that's what I truly feel happened here.

It was terrible! I did actually finish it, but only because I couldn't stop laughing at the horrible writing in the love scenes. The word choices were the problem. Unfortunately, it came across sounding more like bad pickup lines from some random douchebag in a bar who truly has zero game but is trying to convince you he has the "package" women love.

I did not like Dalton at the beginning, but shortly into the story he actually turned into a good character. However, Clara was a loss for me. She started out independent and believable, but after she finds out her mom is dating Dalton's dad she just gets crazy. She has the emotional maturity of a tween. Every single time things are any less than just absolutely perfect, either she leaves him or pushes him into leaving.

If you eliminated every sex scene, it would improve the book, but I guess that would defeat the purpose. In theory this story sounded great, but in reality don't bother with it.

The first part of the story is hard to get through. I so wish the author had not started off portraying Dalton as such a nasty piece of work. the sex scene feels really awkward and not sexy at all. After that, I wasn't sure what to expect but it gets much better,

We get to see there is more to Dalton than his poor opinion of women. He can be real and have honest feelings for someone. He feels that connection with Clara and it really opens his eyes about his future. The problem is that there is a familial relationship that could mess it all up. They have to risk a lot to be together. Clara is someone that works hard and doesn't understand any other way. Dalton is very different from anyone she has met and she is not sure how to proceed.

I really encourage you to get thru that first couple of chapters and try not to judge Dalton too harshly. I think a lot of people would love it much more if that first chapter was removed.

I am having a bit of trouble writing this one. I do not like to give a bad review so I will do my best to write this review in a way that doesn't negate the author. I love the cover of this book and the overall premise of the storyline. The actual story well honestly it didn't work for me. I'm definitely not saying you should not read this book because after all we all have different tastes this is only my opinion. I think the bad boy arrogant prick aspect worked as well as his reform however some of the descriptions used made the story loose some of the appeal for me. I am not saying I will never read another of her books because I will but this one just was not for me.

When I started this book, I thought it sounded like a book I had already read but soon I was falling for the characters Clara and Dalton and fell in love watching them explore each other. Arrogant Brit ? Ok so far , but Dalton gets a softer side when the story develops and Clara brings it out in him.Together they are electric , their chemistry is undeniable .
I'm not giving away too much because you have to read this book. It's a steamy read but I think it's also a wonderful love story, not the writing I'm used from Nikki Wild but it's absolutely addicting.

I was quite disappointed with purchasing this book. Only the last two stories were actually worth reading. Do not bother reading this, the stories are to short to hold any kind of interest for any reader. Most of the stories are predictable and just aim to upset you as a reader but it still turns out to the happy ending you already knew would happen. The description of what you get by purchasing this book isn't true either. I had so much more hope for this and it was just a disappointment. Thankfully the last two stories made it somewhat better buy not enough for me to go any further then a two star review.

Clara and Dalton met at a banquet, he gives her a hard time and she can't wait to get away from the irritating Marine. The next day they are shocked to meet each other again, Clara's mother and Dalton's father are dating and plan on marriage. Then there is the matter of Dalton's inheritance, will he give up Clara to claim millions? Fantastic book!

The story was okay. I felt that it was very rushed and poorly written. At a point where the author should have been developing their relationship and making them believable she filled it in with a general statement along the lines of they continued to see each other over the weeks. Uhhh ok? The beginning and development of the characters is my favorite part so I was thoroughly disappointed. The "chase" lasted about a good minute. Not a bad story line just felt it was underdeveloped.

The Arrogant Britt was ok. It wasn't over the top but the story was compelling enough to continue reading. There were multiple situations/obstacles throughout the story that intrigued me. You have an old inheritance clause, the parents, an 8yr age difference, school, and even dreams all working in different ways. Well I'll admit that sometimes destiny is logically obvious.

Not a fan of the storyline

The h and H were well developed characters. However, there wasn't anything "bad boy" about the H, in my opinion. I personally do not like the step-sibling romance scenario. I wish the title would have mentioned it, like other authors tend to do. I would not have bothered reading it, hence, the two star review.

Nikki Wild has a 50/50 hit rate, sometimes a good romance (with a side of smut) And a believable storyline, other times smut with a side of storyline. this one was well thought out, with lovable, believable characters, and (mostly) real world problems.
An enjoyable read, well worth 4 stars. A scant handful of typos, well edited.

Wow not sure what to say about this book. Except maybe Holy Shit was it good. Sometimes Destiny just keeps things going between meeting and fighting and pushing against each other something has to give. Hopefully give in a good way and oh hell did it ever.

Okay, it really took me sometime to finish this book. Not that I was already distracted but also, this book just didn't have enough punch to pull me out of my book funk...caused by said distraction. This book started off shakily for me and was tenuous during the entire read. At least it was a short one.

If you are looking for a superficial slutty read, then this is your book. Something to pass the time will laying on the beach on vacation.

The premise is pretty stupid though and I don't think it's particuarly well written at all.
