Holden wants stability. Sam wants the world. They both crave each other.
Since the day Holden walked into the gym where Sam works, Sam has been infatuated. For some reason he can’t explain, when Holden’s around, Sam can’t stop talking. No one else in the world knows as much about him. The only thing he’s kept to himself is his hunger for Holden’s attention. That is, until the day Sam catches Holden watching him with the same longing.
Holden loves the sound of Sam’s voice. He can’t get enough of the up-and-coming strongman competitor’s time. There’s nothing platonic, sane, or calm about the way Sam makes him burn. That’s exactly why Holden has kept his feelings to himself. Holden has seen what having a passionate heart does to people, and he wants no part of it.
Holden’s reluctance is only one obstacle standing in Sam’s way. There’s another problem waiting in the shadows and undermining Sam’s every attempt at winning Holden’s heart. Can they find their way to middle ground or are they doomed to always be uneven?

These characters are those totally manly men. Not a poofter in the bunch. They crush hard, they love with all their hearts, they don’t waste time, they don’t over share and they want what they want. It was longer than the first installment but it felt oddly short. It’s fine if you’re not looking for something deep and meaningful this could hit the spot.
This is everything that book 1 should have been! It's a tad on the mushy side since Holden and Sam are both such sweet guys but the sexiness of them together keeps it from being too sugary. It is very refreshing to get a m/m book where there is no shame or am I or am I not gay and all that crap. I love some of those books too, but not every gay man is full of angst about their sexual orientation.
Nice continuation/concurrent storey to go with Undone. Sam and Holden are great together. Little bit of angst but mostly just a nice short sexy tale. Looking forward to the next and would like to see more of both Sam and Holden and Chance and Jaxon.
Uneven is book two in the Hooked Series by Charity Parkerson and even better than the first. Sam is a strongman competitor and Holden’s a lawyer. I really enjoyed the contrast between these two characters, one a rough and ready he-man, and the other a buttoned up professional. Sam, the tough guy he is, has such a soft side and can’t seem to fight his attraction to Holden, while Holden does his best to remain aloof. But Holden is far from unaffected by Sam’s charms. Unfortunately, Holden’s past keeps him fighting Sam at every turn. Other people in their lives also keep throwing obstacles in their path, but I really liked Sam and his determination. This book is more in depth than the first book, Undone, and more characters from Smith Brother’s gym are introduced. Uneven could be read as a standalone, but I can’t wait to read more of this series in the next book, Unknown. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it, especially for M/M romance fans.
A burly man and a smart lawyer, eyes meet and hearts zing, that is until a spoilt brat gets in the way. A lovely novella length tale with interesting characters and a rampant mixture of emotions.
These are shorter books but I love them so much. These guys always have a little co flu t to get through but you know it will be great at the end. Holden and Sam are perfect for each other. I hope we find out in more books to come if Sam does win the world's.
Really good book! I'm loving this series! I fell in love with Sam and Holden from the previous book. I was happy to see them get their own story. Can't wait to for the next book!
Sweet, sexy and humorous. Sam and Holden have a very pure love. It's filled with innocence and wonder. With the introduction to Holden's mom adds the humor and Xander adds the bite.
This is an improvement over book one. While it's still short, there's way more actual story and in this one things take place over a much longer period of time so we get the relationship build up and background.
I actually enjoyed this story more than Undone. I like how Sam and Holden's first kiss didn't end with them in bed. The sex scenes were so hot. That hotel sex scene was so good! I can't wait to read the next book.
