Samson's Lovely Mortal
Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. Not even his shrink can help him. That changes when the lovely mortal auditor Delilah tumbles into his arms after a seemingly random attack. Suddenly there's nothing wrong with his hydraulics - that is, as long as Delilah is the woman in his arms.

Amaury's Hellion
Vampire Amaury LeSang is cursed to feel everybody's emotions like a permanent migraine. The only way to alleviate the pain is through intercourse. When he meets the feisty human woman Nina, a cure for his ailment seems within reach: in her presence, all pain vanishes. Unfortunately, Nina is out to kill him ...

Gabriel's Mate
After Maya is turned into a vampire against her will, vampire and Scanguards bodyguard Gabriel is charged with protecting her and finding her attacker.

Gabriel has never guarded a body as perfect as Maya’s. Even as the sexual tension between them rises and the rogue vampire closes in, Gabriel refuses to give into his desire. Despite the intimacies they share, Gabriel fears that if he ever reveals himself fully to her, Maya will react like other women have, running from him, calling him a monster ...

Samson's Lovely Mortal (Book 1)

Favorite Lines: "In lightning speed, he shoved his useless male equipment back into his pants and zipped up." (p. 19)

Erotic romance with a touch of vampires is what you'll get when you pick up book one in Tina Folsom's Scanguard series. From the first line, "Let me suck your c*ck" to the final chapter, there are sex scenes involving a variety of people. The story is focused on the hero and heroine, but at times its lens widens to encompass the hero of book two, Amaury's Hellion.

The sex is the explicit type written to make the reader clench her thighs closed. The story line is supposed to be driven by suspense, but it felt pretty weak. If I hadn't been interested in the hero's inability to have sex until he met his heroine, I would have put it down. Regardless, I was sucked into it and wanted to know about the secondary characters.

Amaury's Hellion (Book 2)

Favorite Lines: "Soon, his fangs would dig into her vein and he would drink from her, while he impaled her on his shaft." (p. 593)

Book two takes us deeper into the Scanguard vampire world. Lovely, passion filled sex scenes and interesting characters are paired with another thin plot. The bad guy is introduced and it is immediately clear who is creating havoc. The biggest problem for me was not really liking the heroine Nina. Nina kicks ass and asks questions way to late. She doesn't know how she feels. One minute she's kissing Amaury, the next she's trying to kill him. It became old rather quickly, but thank goodness Nina is a sucker for love. I've got to admit that despite making me dislike Nina, the author stuck to her guns and kept Nina true to character. Nina was never a heroine the hero could set on the sofa and come back an hour later to find her still sitting there.

Amaury is a tortured hero who deserves to be happy. I'm not usually a fan of my romance heroes shacking up with random women. In book one, there's a scene which showcased how Amaury liked his sex--rough. I wasn't surprised to see that is normal for him and it didn't bother me to read about oral sex being performed on him before he met the heroine. I wanted him to have what Samson in book one had: a lover turned mate who adored him. I got that, so I'm happy.

Gabriel's Mate (Book three)

Favorite Lines: "She knew now that there was only one man who could douse the fire in her body: Gabriel." (p. 878)

One of the most intriguing aspects of book three is the mystery surrounding Gabriel's "odd" appendage which grossed women out so bad he had to pay for sex. It about drove me crazy trying to figure it out. Once I did, well...let's just say the room heated. I loved the twist, but I noticed several people on GoodReads did not.

The story is pretty well thought out. Maya needs help. She gets it in the most unexpected ways. I liked her and Gabriel which made the success of their relationship important to me. Toward the end of the book, the author removed any obstacles which may have prevented the couple from having a happy ending. It was extremely convenient, but it didn't really bother me.

I was surprised to see who the "bad" guy was simply based on his role in previous books. His obsession seemed odd, but it certainly made things exciting. Parts of the story were pretty predictable and over the top, but I still enjoyed Gabriel's Mate. I even want to know more about a few of the secondary characters like Yvette and Zane.

Book four, Yvette's Haven, is available for purchase.

Samson's Lovely Mortal – This book started with a blow job and I thought oh, it’s going to be one of those. But it wasn’t. Sure there are plenty of hot love scenes but the blow job is important to the story because the sexy Samson can’t get it up. Samson is a high powered executive and the owner of Scanguards, a bodyguard company, whose confidence was shot down by a gold-digging ex-girlfriend and his love life is in the toilet until he meets he lovely mortal auditor Delilah who is running from an unknown assailant. Things would go much smoother if men and women communicated better but it wouldn’t be as much fun to read about.
Amaury's Hellion – Nina’s brother Eddie worked for Scanguards human division and killed his client and then himself or so the story goes. Nina doesn’t believe it. The Scanguard vampires must have done something to him. Amaury is an executive at Scanguards who has been cursed to feel everyones emotions but never to love. It gets downright painful at times. When he is with Nina it is blissfully quiet except he would really like to know what she is feeling. Will she be the one to break the curse?
Gabriel's Mate – Gabriel and his crew from NY were called in to assist in the investigation into the deaths in Amaury's Hellion. They’ve been asked to stay on as Delilah is pregnant and Amaury and Nina are honeymooning. Maya is a doctor who has been turned against her will. The attack was interrupted and she was brought to Samsons. Samson has a pregnant mate and Amaury isn’t focused so it is up to Gabriel to oversee the lovely doctor’s turning.

These books are fun, sexy, inventive vampire romances. I heartily recommend them. BTW: Ms. Folsom count me in among those who want Thomas and Eddies story.

Great read. The first book was enough to make me tingle and want more. The second and third books hooked me. I’m determined to read all of the books in this series.

Samson's Lovely Mortal -
Wow!! What a great start to the series!! Really great story telling at a wonderful pace. I was with it from the first page!! A terrific combo of sexy, funny, supernatural with a little mystery on the side.

There were many supporting characters I could see being leads in the series, I have a crush on Ricky! I listened to the audio book Kevin Foley, the narrator, gives him a sweet Irish Accent, I am a sucker for the Gaelic boys! He does a great job with all of the reading but that particular voice is yummy!

The book has mixed POV swapping between the hero and heroine, at times you also hear from supporting chatterers. This is my favorite style for books as you get a much fuller picture.

Samson is a delight with his, um, problem. And he really was a funny character to read. I loved his whole possessive side, I swoon for the Alpha males!

Delilah started out awesome but fell victim to some serious dumb girl moves. Why do the girls always feel, even when people are dying around them, that they will be just fine wandering off into dark alleys? There is independent and then there is stupid. Fortunately, she only had a couple really brainless moments.

The mystery is more of a side event, it only really takes hold giving solvable clues near the end. Otherwise it was pretty much left field.

The steam is hot and heavy and varied!! Not all of it is the hero and heroine! There is one uber hot, kind of hate sex scene. Fan face...girl...it was just...gurrl!

This one often pops up as a freebie on Amazon and it is well worth the click! I am excited to read more of the series!!

Amaury's Hellion -
The second book in the series is even better than the first!! Loads of story that is really delicious!! Ms. Folsom has crafted an exciting and dynamic world. The characters are engaging and endearing, even if they are blood sucking vamps!

I adore the whole banter between Amaury and Nina, they are a perfectly snarky and playful pair!! They had a great dynamic from the first meeting, and oh that sizzle!! Each character had flaws to overcome but they found ways to heal each other, while forming an unbreakable bond.

The story is rather intense at times, I will admit to using more than one tissue. I am a sucker for drama in a relationship.

The steam factor is more than delightful, seems somebody likes to spank and light bondage! Who could resit that sort of play? Oh and there is an elevator scene that will leave you screaming in pleasure!

I am quickly falling in love with this series because it delivers one heck of a mainstream story with plenty of erotic romance steam!! The naughty bits just enhance the whole reading experience! And there are several single bodyguards still hanging around!

Gabriel's Mate -
I am not happy with the turn of events in this book!! I am going to need to take a break before I continue the series, I really did not appreciate who the Rogue turned out to be, he was my book crush!

The story is really well do, exactly what I have come to expect in this series. Really full and rich stories. I was kind of annoyed about the whole deformity situation, really took forever for us to find out the details. The whole Rogue story was a bit more interesting than the whole drama of his issues.

The steam factor was quite delicious. Way more foreplay and oral action, to be expected with the uh, problem. Once they hit the sheets, or the living room wall, it was hot and heavy!! Yummy steam that in the end almost made me wish my fella had the same problem!!

There are several threads left open at the end of the book that I am sure will lead into the next couple books in the series. While I am quite sure they will be wonderful, I do need time to get over my disappointment of losing a book crush.

I tried to read this book when it first came out and had difficulty doing so. Not sure why now that I've finally finished it. Must've been in a 'mood.' I enjoyed Amaury's story quite a bit, though I did chuckle over his concern about hurting the heroine. The man's not that big. LOL! ;) I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys playful banter, vampires and equally matched characters. It was a fun read.

I love this series. From the first book. A great read. My favorite is Zane's redemption. I cried and the story was heart wrenching. I was so glad to see that in the end he found what he had been missing, acceptance and love. I have yet to read Quinn's story but, I do not doubt that it will be fantastic.

I liked the stories for the most part, but found it improved by book 3. The female wasn't as whiney...
