Mystic Zodiac #12

Falcon: December

Rate this book
After months of waiting, it’s time for Falcon to claim her prize. The one Hades and Persephone promised for her years of loyal and undying servitude. All she needs to do is find the human and take him home to the Underworld. Then she will finally have someone to share her days. Someone to fill her lonely nights. Someone to claim as her own. If they happen to fall in love, then she’ll be happy with that. But it certainly isn’t necessary.

Deval Hope is still fighting. Fighting the addiction his sister saved him from so many months ago. Fighting to keep the darkness that fills his soul, at bay. His days bleed into each other, as he struggles to keep his sanity. At night, he escapes his reality with dreams of a dark-haired vixen he calls his own. She makes him feel whole and at peace, something he never thought he’d feel again. He knows there is something missing in his life, but doesn’t know what it could be. The arrival of a petite badass that tickles something in the back of his brain has him wondering if she’s the missing piece.

Brandy is an American romance author who dipped her toe into the writing world in 2013. With over twenty books to her name, she discovered along the way that she was enamored with shifters, magic, and all of the creatures she could dream up at night. She also writes contemporary romances inspired by her love of coffee and her husband's lifelong career in the Army jumping out of airplanes.

Brandy is a Navy brat, prior enlisted Army, Army wife, and mom. She lives in Washington with her husband of 25 years, two of their three kids, along with her daughter's guinea pigs (they really weren't interested in college). She's addicted to MDK shows on Discovery ID and who-done-its. You'll almost never see her without some type of skull paraphernalia on and is always dreaming of more tattoos.

Only one more couple needs to be matched before Chloe can claim her prize and Falcon's story was worth the wait. Deval Hope fights his addiction daily even after his sister Amara saved him in the first book (Thane-January) of the Mystic Zodiac series. Falcon is the missing piece he needs to calm his darkness.

This is a great story. Falcon and Deval's relationship was enjoyable to read. The chemistry is hot and the connection sizzled. A demon finds her mate. They fit together perfectly.

A great read and a wonderful finish to Mystic Zodiac series.

Finally we get to meet Falcon, the dark to Thanes’ light. Thane got Amara in Thane: January (Mystic Zodiac #1) and Falcon gets Amara’s brother Deval. Two sides of the same coin. This is a sweet and sexy read of love and redemption. There is a place for everything including darkness and Deval is finally allowed to embrace that fact. Falcon is the last of this fun series unless the author wants to give us the story of Clothos and Eros bet (please, please) and I will admit to loving them all. If you want a quick escape from the everyday I highly recommend this series.

They are destined to be together. He has struggled with addiction and she can bring him peace. She may be a demon but she is interested in love and not pain.

I really enjoyed this story. They both have waited a long time for love and make a great couple. They have great chemistry and a real connection to one another. It is a great finale to the series.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.
