3 Determined Modern Day Cinderella Stars

This was a quick read to take away a grey, rainy afternoon..It had the basic setting of the Cinderella theme with a mistaken identity thrown in for a switch up, an inn ownership clause the Stepmother held over our gal's head... making her stay and the Tax Man waiting in the wings.
We also got a Billionaire who was actually kind of cool and normal...sexy and fun....and totally smitten with our gal.
Followed the classic theme to a degree and ended with a lovely Happily Ever After...
The book is coupled with Sunset Kisses by the same author.

Ella McDaniels will do whatever she has to do to save her fathers Inn, even put up with her step-mothers continual verbal abuse. Six more months and the Inn is hers and she can bring it back to what it once was with no further interference. Having booked the wedding event of the year, Ella steps up and finds herself catching the attention of billionaire Jace Connors. After a bit of mistaken identity Ella gets close to Jace. Jace knows that he has something different with Ella but with others trying to break them apart and the impending doom of her her stepmother can they truly find a happily ever after.
I liked the beginning and felt it was a bit draggy toward the end. Overall fun retelling of Cinderella. I thought the stepmother was hideous and the story had a different twist to the stepsister which I found refreshing. If you like classic fairy tale retellings this is one to pick up.

I had so much fun writing this book!
It's a take on the classic Cinderella story, but moved to modern day with a spunky heroine and an awesome Prince Charming. There's mistaken identity and love and so much more!
I hope that you all enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. Cinderella is one of my favorite fairy tales, so it's so much fun to write versions on it!

Ella truly lives the Cinderella life, she has no parents, but she does have a step-mother who detests her and a step-sister whom she really hasnt been allowed to spend any time alone with to get to know her. She lives and breaths for one thing and that is for her families inn, which she will inherit once she turns 22 of course after working it for 5 years. One day Ella's life will take a turn and someone special will end up in her life, its then that she will realize that there is something more important in life then the inn.
What I enjoyed most about Your Completely is for one I love Cinderella stories and the Happily Ever Afters for one. But to watch Ella take care of everything at the Inn and deal with the verbal abuse of her Step-mother and her being so strong during it all. Then when Jace comes in and its like love at first sight for both but them not really knowing if it is exactly that or different feelings. To watch Ella finally be treated like she is so special to someone and to watch Jace fall for her, them enjoying their time together. Jace changes in a big way himself as he never seen himself married that is until he laid eyes on Ella for the first time, and him having these random thoughts that doesnt send him running.
This book is Fantastic, a very fast entertaining read. As I had to know how it all would end in Ella's and Jace's life. This story is a Cinderella story with a twist. A man trying to hide from his admires meets the love of his life. A woman who works her hands to the bones so she can inherit her father's Inn, falling for a Billionaire. A step Mother that will try at every turn to mess it up for her. A love story. If you like stories like this, then Yours Completely is a must!!

Ella just has to stick it out 6 more months and she inherits her parents Inn at last from her evil step-mother. She's spent the last 5 years proving that she is dedicated to the Inn as her fathers will stipulate. She has worked every day without a break but it will be all worth it when it's hers at last and she can make it her own. Ella's always been one of the maids, does the grunt work but her step-mother has always been the face of the inn.
The Inn is hosting a wedding for a billionaire's sister which Ella is hoping will go perfectly for the Inn making it the ideal destination for Weddings. When a chance encounter finds her saving the groom Jace from some women intent on sinking their claws into him she finds herself attracted to him. However, things start off rocky when the bride's wedding dress is destroyed on the way to the Inn but Ella offers her grandmother's wedding dress which is a perfect solution to save the day making her the hero and finding new friends. Will Ella learn the truth about Jace and find a happy ever after with him?
I adore Ella she's such a sweetheart willing to do whatever it takes to keep her Inn running even if it means days without a break. She even loans her wedding dress to the bride who's having her wedding at the Inn a dress that she hasn't even had the chance to wear yet. I love the chemistry between Ella and Jace it's sweet they complement each other well. I love that Ella doesn't care that he's a billionaire she loves him for who he is as he does her.
I'm such a huge fan of Krista Lakes book and Yours Completely doesn't disappoint it exceeds my expectations. I love that it's a twist on the fairy tale Cinderella with modern day flair, and beautifully done. The characters are wonderful I found them both easy to connect with and couldn't help cheering on their whirlwind romance. I'm a sucker for sweet romances that aren't all about the bedroom but about the characters finding a happy ever after. I really enjoy the authors writing style she's done a beautiful job creating an intricate story that captures the heart as well as the imagination. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this exciting new series.

My overall thoughts for this book were that it got better toward the end. I had problems with the whole conflict of the story. First with Jace and then with not enough stepmother drama.

WTF mate? It was so short and under developed. The characters lacked depth (okay, it's a romance novel but still not an excuse to just create a male character solely based on the fact he has a y-chromosome and a billion dollars!), the story went from beginning to finish before I knew what the hell was happening and I wanted to throat punch Elle (the main character).
Why did I want to throat punch Elle? She meets Jace and somehow magically falls in love in 3 days, okay I can bite that bullet, but then he offers you a lawyer and $$ and you are like Okay, Sure --- uhm, no. It just felt odd. The whole (tiny) book felt off compared to Lakes' Kisses Series.
1 star and a waste of two hours.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from the author for review. This is the perfect story for this time of year when we can all use some happiness. This is a sweet story of a girl meeting her "prince" and falling in love. Ella and Jace feel a connection the first time they meet but need to get around a few obstacles before they can be together. They were a pleasure to get to know as were most of the secondary characters in the story. Will misunderstandings and mettling stepmothers keep Ella and Jace apart or will they figure it out before it is too late. Krista has turned a classic, beloved fairy tale into a modern story of love and forever. I read it in one sitting because I could not put it down. Great job as usual, Krista. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Cute story. A little take in Cinderella. Third person POV not the easiest for me to read. But it was a quick easy read. Who doesn't want to find a billionaire? I know I'm always on the lookout. Lol

Very poorly written. All through the book there were words not spelled right, obviously wrong words in a sentence, just poor writing and editing. The description sounded really fun and I love a good Cinderella story anyway, but this one was so disappointing. The biggest turnoff to me was the very graphic sex scenes. I had to forward through all that millarky to the next chapter, because I did want to know if girl finally got boy, but I certainly don't need all the details of how they make love. My imagination works just fine with a little hint here and there that there is an attraction. Those graphic sex scenes are always a turnoff. I could never rate an author really high who resorts to that tactic

Ella is running her stepmother's inn, until she turns 22, when the legacy of her deceased father passes onto her. If she can do this for six months more, it will be hers, as long as she can handle her stepmothers meanness. The fact that she is treated like a lowly maid is of no consequence to her.
With the upcoming Connor Wedding at the inn, Ella is working nonstop. On a short break from her chores, she goes to the barn to brush the horses, when a handsome man runs in and asks her if he can hide there. Shortly after a group of high society women come looking for him. After she sends them on their way, Ella gets to chat with the handsome stranger.
Jace is at the inn to see his baby sister married. Running into Ella at the barn was a plus. When he can't get her out of his thoughts, he asks her out for the day. He is falling for this beautiful girl very quickly.
This is a beautiful modern day Cinderella story, sigh!

July 19, 2016I will refrain from rating this book since I DNF pretty early on at 10%. Here are my reasons for not be able to finish this book.
1) The retelling of the Cinderella story was a little too unoriginal. It's too close to the original fairy tale. Evil step mother, deceased father who had love Ella while he was still alive. Yes, her name is Ella. She's basically an underpaid maid in her own home.
2) Ella comes across as a huge self pitier. Woe is me and all that. I'll never find that kind of love, boo hoo hoo. She does try to be a kind person despite her circumstances. She loves her horses, lends out her wedding dress that was handed down from her grandmother to mother to her, etc. But as an h, I wanted to shake her most of the time.
3) Jace. Maybe it's just me, but I've had it with the H being named Jace or Jase. And Cole, Colton, Nate, Luke or Lucas as well. Aren't there any other good H names? But I digress. There is something about Jace that is rather off putting. The way he talks about how he's enjoyed scores of bed mates and if how if he wanted to, he'd line up one or two that night, isn't sexy. But now he can't stop thinking of Ella, so he won't go pick up two women tonight. Wow, lucky Ella! Not.

Sometimes a girl just wants a sweet read and I know when I do Krista Lakes has a great selection to choose from. In Yours Completely you find a very well modern day retelling of the Cinderella story. It is told so well I actually like it better than the fairy tale version.
In this version Ella is working on the family owned horse farm that has been turned into a wedding venue. When her father passed away her stepmother and sister took over per the will unless Ella can show her step mother that she can run the venue by the time she turns 25. If not she looses it all. As in the original her steps are mean and ugly inside and out.
Ella meets Jace in the horse stable as he is hiding from the girls looking to hook up with him. Lots of misunderstanding and lots of other fun things happen in this book. I fell in love with this Billionaires and Brides series and look forward to more.
After Yours Completely YOU also receive the full book "Sunrise Kisses" which is book 7 in The Kisses Series so 2 books in one!

Since I'm a sucker for fairy tales, with Cinderella being my favorite, I'll rarely give a bad review to a Cinderella story. This was a sweet little modernization with a twist. The only thing that bothered me a tiny bit was that her timid & shy personality and too-busy-for-life back story seemed at odds with her evident sexual prowess. Unless you're fairly experienced, you don't typically I'm not judging, but it didn't seem true to character.
Overall, it was a solid addition to my Cinderella collection.

I had fun with Yours Completely, and really that's all I ask of a story - to take me away from my reality for awhile and simply enjoy a fun and spunky take on the classic Cinderella tale. We have all the required elements, one overworked, bullied step-daughter, one vile and poisonous step-mother, a step-sister who really isn't as bad as she first appears, and our prince in the form of one sexy, always on the run from gold-diggers billionaire. A little bit of a twist on the classic with a mistaken identity and a looming tax man makes this one a bit unique and fun. I will concede, however, that the word "billionaire" was a bit overdone, I got the hint the first time.
I enjoyed Ella and Jace's romance, even when it appears that all is lost. I adored Madelyn, what a friend she would turn out to be. In all, Yours Completely was an entertaining few hours with a good love story. If you love a re-telling of classic fairy tales, then I'd recommend this title to any Contemporary Romance reader who enjoys a quick love story, interesting characters and a very happily ever after ending.
At this time, there is also a bonus book Sunrise Kisses which I'll review separately as it's part of a series - but really you're getting two books in one at the time of this review.

Very cute story of a wedding fling that changed the fate of two people. The step daughter- Ella of an inn owner, and the billionaire- Jace who also paid for the brides wedding where these two began their fling.
Ella was picked on and abused by her step mother. Estranged from her step sister, and working to get her inheritance the inn.
Jace was a busy in the spotlight, chased by gold diggers, billionaire CEO.
Now I'm not big on insta love, or love at first sight but sometimes you discover just that. I'm glad they waited a year to marry to be sure. I though wish their was a bigger epilogue of their future. Though I enjoyed the peak at the Inn.

Now I'm not big on insta love, or love at first sight but sometimes you discover just that. I'm glad they waited a year to marry to be sure. I though wish their was a bigger epilogue of their future. Though I enjoyed the peak at the Inn.

Yours Completely and Sunrise Kisses Review.
YC: Enjoyed the Cinderella style storyline very much. Thought your Jace character was a man any woman would be proud to have. Anna was a great heroine , with a great heart and a no nonsense demeanor with everyone but Delores. Thank you for a great read. FIVE STARS
SK: Ava and Sebastian are both wounded souls, who find one another by chance. This one was very sexual, written was a great understanding of sex vs making love. Warm characters make this book very read worthy. FIVE STARS. Thank you, Danny Scott.

A new take on a old tale...kinda. Could easily be a Lifetime movie.
Ella’s father dies and leaves everything to her stepmother until she turns 21. The step mother is a five letter word and is running everything into the ground. What I liked about this “Cinderella” is that in the end, she grew some and rescued herself even though “the prince”, (not really a prince, but just a good guy) was there to help if needed.

Jace and Ella are the perfect Cinderella/Billionaire love story. A real easy read that brightened up a crazy rainy week.
Ella is the classic Cinderella character working too hard for a stepmother that doesn't apprecaite her. Jace is the kind hearted Billionaire paying for his sisters wedding. When disaster strikes Ella is there to save the day and offer the bride a wedding dress making a friend in the process.
It was a great opportunity to see love blossom from lust at first site.

Modern day Cinderella story
Yes a modern day Cinderella story. Wicked mean step mother. Stepdaughter, who was definitely taken advantage of. And although I rooted for her, and definitely wanted to see her win in the end, something was missing in the story so that I wasn't really invested. I found myself skipping through the story to finish. Maybe it was just Me Lake's writing style.

Enjoyable
This is a beautiful, fairytale love story; but that evil, wicked stepmother worse than any of the stepmother in the fairytales. Ella is at her mercy all the time, if she wants to eventually own the inn her father left her. It was the stipulation that she work at the inn under the supervision of this wicked stepmother. But when Ella meets Jace her life gets better. I loved the story.

this was a cutesy read. the plot is predictable generally because it is a cinderella story but i loved the different twists dont in the book. in the setting and with the incorporation of the characters.
really just a happy read so if ur feeling down and in need of a happy story read this !! wouldn't say it's very realistic esp with the legal aspect of the story but it's a happy story. so read this if u want a light happy story to brighten up your day

Maybe for a 20 year old with poor literacy
The writing was almost embarrassing to read. Repetitive language, frequent use of the word billionaire (cringy to be honest. What billionaire talks about being a billionaire), inst-love with poor building chemistry, neutral intimacy scenes and trite banter. It doesn't help that I just finished a Penny Reid book, then read this due to the good reviews.

Really just ok
It was really simple, not that there I'd anything wrong with simple it was cute and a little cheesy. Yes it was very Disney's Cinderella and that may have contribute to the simplicity of the overall story. It wasn't bad it was nicely written, I just didn't care for it much past that.
