Cute little story. Lots of characters introduced in a short amount of time, but I assume I'll get to know them in the rest of the books.

Our New Love (Love in Bloom Book #28.5) by Melissa Foster.
The Love in Bloom series proved to be a heartwarming journey through love, family, and personal growth. Spanning multiple interconnected series/stories, it offers a wonderful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth that kept me reading the whole way through.
Ms. Foster crafted fully developed, relatable, and multidimensional characters who added an extra element of emotion and interest to my overall reading experience. The heroes are fiercely loyal and endearing, while the heroines are smart, empowered, and refreshingly ‘real’. Each character feels like someone you could know in real life, making their struggles and triumphs, high and lows, all the more impactful.
The stories have a perfect balance of steamy romance mixed with heartfelt moments. But that doesn’t mean that Ms. Foster shies away from exploring deeper themes like forgiveness, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships – adding dynamic layers to the storyline/s. But, despite the emotional depth, the series still maintains more of a lighthearted charm, sprinkled with humor and tender family connections.
While each novel can be read as a standalone, there is an interconnectedness with the recurring characters and overlapping storylines - which help create a sense of community that feels warm and inviting. It’s like being welcomed into a big, loving family where everyone has a worthwhile story to tell.
‘Within the Love in Bloom big-family romance collection you'll find fiercely loyal heroes and smart, empowered women on their search for true love. They're flawed, funny, and easy to relate to. Characters from each series appear in future Love in Bloom books…’
If you are a fan of contemporary romance or simply looking for a feel-good series to escape into, this series is a worthwhile binge read…

- The Bradens (Weston, CO)
- The Remingtons

Only die-hard fans of Savannah and Jack from Bursting with Love need to read this story. And even that is questionable. It’s highly predictable and does the thing that I am not a fan of in this author’s full-length stories, a whole lotta name dropping.

The good…even being over five years since I read their original story, I still felt the connection between Savannah and Jack. They are sweet together while still having a ton of heat.

The bad…it’s hard to suspend my disbelief when thinking of Jack (who lost his first wife in a tragic accident) thinking it’s a good idea to fly his pregnant wife to their remote cabin in the Colorado mountains when she’s 2 weeks from her due date. Let alone the multiple times they mention that the doctor told her it was okay to travel from New York to Colorado so close to her due date.

I love Melissa Foster, but this one was really a dud. If it wasn’t for how well she wrote the small relationship details between the couple it would not be redeemable.

Melissa Foster keeps me spellbound with her stories.
Jack and Savannah had gone to a double wedding and she was eight and half months pregnant. Savannah was exhausted and drained. They were planning to stay in their cabin in the woods. Jack has lost his wife Linda two years before he met Savannah. Jack was a pilot and as he was landing the plane at the cabin, it started to snow which was not unusual for Colorado. They took a walk up the mountain the next day in the snow, then she started having contractions. During the night hard labor began.
Lance Greenfield is the talented narrator in this one and he can hold my interest.

sweet winter read with catching up ...
This was another short that gave you more than you would expect. You got to see much of the Braden's from previous books. The best part of it all was we get to see Jack and Savannah's relationship up close. We walk down memory lane with them as their baby comes into the world. We revisit there first place of connection. There was love, sweet time, memories, heated memories and new creations and then there was the best gift of all.

Lance Greenfiled delivers the male voices with strength and impact. I love Hal Braden's voice.

An inspiringly good story. Savannah and Jack start out this story at a double wedding for some of their relatives. As such, way too many people are introduced if this is the first story read. After the weddings, Jack flies Savannah, who's eight and a half months pregnant, out to their mountain cabin. Needless to say, a snow flurry upon their arrival was not anticipated. Jack, ever her hero, comforts her through the birth of their first baby.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Inspirational. Romantic. Wonderful characters.

I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.

Our New Love #8 06/11/2023

Savannah and Jack have just been at Jack’s brothers double wedding now they are on their way to their cabin in the mountains for a little break before their baby arrives. Two weeks tell due day so they think they have plenty of time. But when they land in the mountains it is snowing. Hopefully it’s just a small storm. But the first day there after taking a walk Savannah goes into labor and there isn’t any way to get out of the mountains. So enjoy a good read that helps to get closer for Jack and Savannah!!

I enjoyed this short novella. I will admit that I haven’t read Jack and Savannah’s full story yet but after reading this novella I am eager to. Although the events in this book take place AFTER Jack and Savannah’s full story, I found it easy to follow and wasn’t lost or confused once.
This short novella is easy to follow and a heart warming sweet read. Even though I haven’t yet read Jack and Savannah’s full story, this novella is easy to follow.

Our New Love

This was a beautiful, predictable love story. I knew from start they would be stranded at the cabin when she went into labor. This has become a typical writer's tool. It surprises me how often this ploy is used. You would think by , unless unavoidable, a woman two weeks from delivery would not risk being stranded in a remote location. But, alas, this is fiction. (sigh...)

This was a sweet story and a great way to catch up with Jack and Savannah before the birth of their first child. Where the story was a little predictable, it was perfect for this pair and this series.

In the audio version, Lance Greenfield did a great job bringing this short story to life making it an enjoyable listening experience.

I enjoyed this brief story and look forward to more brief glimpses into this series that may come in the future.

Jack & Savannah decide to spend a week at their cabin prior to the birth of their first child. At 8 1/2 months pregnant, Savannah is sure they will return home before the birth but baby Remington has other ideas! When a flash snow storm hits and traps them in the cabin, Jack is forced to deliver their baby!

A heartwarming story of an all consuming love between Jack, Savannah and their new baby!

I didn't read the story where this love began, but, that doesn't matter. This is a sweet story of a couple who would soon have their firstborn. This story starts at the wedding of other family members. They decide to go to their cabin for some relaxation before the baby come in two weeks. Well, yeah, they didn't expect the heavy snow that would strand them.....

Who knew so many families could attend a wedding. A great way to catch up on some of them, but this was about Savannah and Jack waiting for the birth of their baby. A trip to the cabin is what they need, but of course nothing goes to plan. A heavy downpour snow and Jack delivering their baby make you for more. A great little book.

Another love revisited

This was another great opportunity to visit with a couple we met in a previous book (Bursting With Love). These two great people overcame adversity and helped each other heal. This book was a great way to help usher them into their new phase of life.

Short and sweet. Love it

Leave it to Savannah and Jack to give birth alone in the mountains. That's where their story started. Each one of the Stories from this series is my favorite. Can't wait to read more.

I had to read it!

Of course, I had to put the extra dollop of whipped cream on Jack and Savannah's love story. That's just what this four -chapter story does. Yes, it was predictable. Yes,there were a few loose ends. But, it's still a thoroughly enjoyable read.

This was my first book by this author and unfortunately I did not finish the first chapter. There were way to many characters in the first several pages my head was spinning. This is obviously a series that needs to be read in order.
