It took me a little bit of time to get to writing this review but here it goes, I won 'When Killers Collide' by Tom Olsinski from Goodreads Giveaways.

I was immediately interested and excited to read this book just based on the title then I read the summary on the back and I knew this was definitely a book I was going to enjoy. I absolutely adored this book.

Set in the small and peaceful town of Wilmington, North Carolina, the town is caught in the middle by the discovery that there is a sexually depraved serial killer and an unrelated terrorist plot in their midst.

Extremely well written and kept me interested from the very beginning.
--also, along with this book, the author Tom Olsinski wrote me a card thanking me for reading and even shared that his daughter and I have the same name. I don't know if this sort of thing is common with giveaway books or ARC books but I found it to be very thoughtful and it made me want to read this book and more of the authors books just because he seemed to take an interest in the reader.

Depravity comes in many forms with the ending of human lives being the ultimate expression.  This novel explores the widely differing motivations of two twisted but unrelated killers, and the impact when fate brings them together.  The events in the book are also very timely and topical: Like the recent mass casualty attack in San Bernadino, CA., a major terrorist plot unfolds, not in a major city (N.Y.C. or D.C.), but in the relatively small and peaceful coastal resort town of Wilmington, NC.  And, similar to what we are now witnessing on campuses throughout the country, it depicts the vulnerability of inexperienced and sheltered young minds to manipulation by zealous reality-detached professors.  Instead of being taught how to evaluate facts, and think for themselves, students are being taught what to think.  “When Killers Collide” is a well written, enjoyable and thought provoking thriller.

This was well written and very topical with all that is going on in the world today. It touched on the many aspects of depraved minds and how they can affect us all. It was a little unsettling but no more than the current news we read everyday. The author captured the various characters well and the plot lled you to want to finish the book.

An intriguing murder mystery that has great suspense and unexpected twists that keep you interested to the dynamic finish. This novel continues the story of Harry Powell, a detective who uses insight and street smarts to solve a tough and strange case.
