Gabi had a crush on Max as they were growing up. Now they are in college and their parents marry. This leads Gabi to question her feelings for Max. I liked Max and Gabi. They have to work out what others feel is forbidden but, since they were adults when their parents married, they have grown up feelings for each other and decide to act on them.
The story is short and a quick read. I wish it would have been longer so the story could have been fleshed out more. I would have liked to have seen more of the parents' reaction although I did like their support of their children.

Man, this was so bland and boring. Gabi's personality was like watching paint dry. The way she kept "running" from Max had my eyes rolling. She frustrated the crap out of me. Max had potential but in the end he was pretty middle of the road too.

There are many twists and turns for this star crossed couple..oh and the s-e-x for this couple is fiery and spicy. Get prepared for the emotions to be high and there to be action, some suspense and definite lovin in this story! You will be drawn in from page 1 in this story through the very last. The MC will keep you entertained with their life stories and feelings and thoughts until the very end. There is a villain so make sure to keep your eyes open for him/them . I loved the secondary players in this story and would love to see a story on one or more of the girls from Gabi’s college . Overall, this was a fantastic story and I found this an awesome read.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Gabi Castro and Max Giovanni. When this book opens up Gabi is walking down the isle to be her mother's maid of honor at the same time. The thing is Gabi hates to be the center of attention and having everyone watch her walk down the isle really unnerves her. So when the guy she has been crushing on since middle school starts talking to her as she walks down the isle it gives her determination to ignore him. Oh ya did I mention she is walking to where he is the best man and her mom is marrying his dad. While both she and Max she feels like she is safe from the feelings she has about him. However on the night of her graduation something happens that changes everything. While she tries to ignore it she knows that there is no going back.
Max thought that after graduation night when he started seeing Gabi in a whole new light that there was a chance they could go back to just maybe being friends. However one look at her and he knows that will never be possible if it was only possible to convince her of this. So Max knows the best thing is just to stay away from her and everything else including the family restaurant. However when he and Gabi come home for winter break they get a shock and find while they have been hiding from each other they have missed something drastic going on a home.
This is an great story about finding love and finding out just how much you are willing to fight for it. Love isn't always easy but the right love can move mountains. I would highly recommended this book to anyone and everyone.

I received this for an honest review. Emma Fawkes is such a great writer. Just love her work.

They return home to help their parents manage the family restaurant that is under attack by an unscrupulous competitor. for yeas gabi had been crushing on max for years. when she gathers all her courage to make her big move she can't believe that max actually responds to her. things from here on out don't get easier when their parents marry. what is also a problem is that max finally tries to accept his feelings for gabi but he knows they are wrong. he thinks seeing her one last time will get her out of his system. that is just "the wrong move".

Gabi Castro's Mom is marring Max Giovanni's Father what could be wrong with that. Max is Gabi's middle school crush. Max doesn't know and Gabi isn't going to tell. Max teases he's new sister until one night at a party. Gabi's girlfriend gets drunk and Gabi and Max helps get her friend up stairs. Max lays down in a large tub..... What a great love story. Loved the book from the beginning to the end. It was hard to put down. There are twist and turns for all the character in the story. Steamy hot love for the couple. I recommend this book as a must read novella.

Good paced story line with well developed characters. This book had me smiling and sighing......with a few "oh come on !!! just get together already !!" moments !.

Another great story by the talented Emma. Gabbi's high school crush is about to become a permanent fixture in her life. Gabbi has to put her feelings aside because Max is about to be her step brother. The story line of this book was great and kept me very interested in what was going to happen next. The jealousy moves that these two pull against each other is hilarious. Great story and my new favorite genre.

The forbidden is often more attractive. There was a moment and now that they are step-siblings, they have to decide if they will continue in that direction or end it. There is a slow build to all the action which makes it more satisfying in the end. I enjoyed the story and the characters and recommend it.

This was a cute romance. Having your first crush become your step-brother must be devastating. This couple turned it around. The whole story has a very family oriented feeling. Even when times are tough, they are there for each other.
