I'm D. Camille and I am an avid reader and author. I started reading romance books when I was thirteen and since then I've read hundreds. I wanted to write a series that contained the culture and history of the African and African American people.

I like to utilize historical information, science and ancient beliefs. I write for people to enjoy, think, analyze and learn; not only about the characters but hopefully also about themselves. I love to hear from my readers. Write me and tell me about your favorite characters and what you love about them. Me, I love all of them...they came from my heart.

Ase! (so let it be)

TOTALLY captivated...thoroughly enjoyed the prequel to the Black Diamond series...Justin is a BRUTALLY honest man...and despite his "evil" ways there appeared to be a method to his "madness"...sad to say Joanna was childish and selfish from beginning to end... though there were moments I felt sorry for her...and this book gave GREAT insight into some the mystery surrounding Jordan, Sean and Ray...also has me anticipating what's coming from the Uncut Series...KUDOS D. Camille on these ENTERTAINING, suspenseful romantic thrillers!

The Blacks

Justin Black was an intense man. It was really nice getting a history on how everything started. It makes you understand all the characters that we've grown to love and hate.

Whew...the mystery continues!

OMG! This was a short story but it was very necessary in that it provided excellent background information on The Blacks, as well as stirred some new mysteries.

That Damn Justin Black!!!!

I started this read late last night and woke up this morning with it on my mind. There are so many things I need to be doing right now but I am lost in the world of Justin Black. My like and dislike of him keeps shifting. One minute he is making my heart melt and the next he is being selfish and self-serving. Yes, Joanna is childish, but then again she was so young when Justin dug his evil paws into her. My biggest disappointment with her is that she did not fight for her child. I am also amazed at the complexity at which all the characters are connected. At the end of the day, through all of Justin and Joanna's dysfunction, a beautiful gem was molded into a great husband, father, friend, and provider.

what a way to close out "The Black Diamond Series". I enjoyed reading about Justin and Joanne. You will see how much Justin love Jordan, but you will also see how cold and calculating he could be.

Not enough info.

I wished it told more about Justin Black. He did not drop ojut of the sky. At least we could learn his family history.

This book explains what a poor father and a totally unforgiving and selfish man Justin Black was before he died (or was killed?). He treated is wife Joanna poorly emotionally and both she and her son Jordan suffered because of it. Justin never got to know his mother and thought her a worthless whore based on what his father told him, and Joanna was driven near insane by Justin and Jordan's cold unforgiving spirits. This book is one in the long Black Diamond series and to find this remotely interesting or understandable you must read the other books. This short story really serves only to provide a glimpse into Justin because his stupid and mean decisions effected many of the character in the series. However, it is not necessary to the series and it doesn't real move the story forward. Just skip this one.

This the prequel to the Black series and introduces us Jordan's father and mother. It gives you some insight into why people disliked Justin. It was sad to see a man so tortured that he tortured every one around him. Joanna was a young girl who never got what she really wanted and lost her most precious gift in her son. However, we see Justin can be tender and how his pain shaped his life.

A mystery thickens as we see Sean and Lilly encounter a part of Justin's past that has a secret as well..Good read..

Ms Camille knock you with another unexpected surprise. You have characters whose chemistry is off the hook and then some characters you would like to give a royal kick .. The parents have so many secrets which is deceitful and devious. Buy this series it will give you romance, excitement, deceit, and suspense !

Ok, I'm glad I read this because it explained a lot about Joanna and Justin. All this time I thought she just walked out on her husband and son but that's not the case. Justin was misunderstood as well. It's like a couple of hurt people united and this was the outcome. I'm now more than ever to start the the Uncut Series so I can get this mystery solved.

Very disappointed

No I would not recommend this book to anyone . I was very disappointed rereading the same thing I've read in the first two or three books . Upon getting this book I thought that it was a continuing story of the black boys finding their sister.

Ok I wasn't prepared to go where you took us D. That was information that was perhaps not necessary for an entire book.
