*Updated to be compliant with The Scrum Guide 2020*. Scrum, as a new way of product development, delivers high value. Authentic knowledge body of Scrum is Scrum Guide. It is too dense to absorb without context and correlations. This book reveals Scrum as defined in 'The Scrum Guide 2020' with context and correlations using Active Learning technique. It is all-in-one guide for Professional Scrum Master (PSM 1) aspirants, with comprehensive Scrum material, tips, and 250+ practice questions.
Scrum Narrative and PSM Exam Guide is a guidance book for the Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM 1) online assessment. The test is very tough and requires right preparation. I failed in the first attempt. I was seriously looking for a correct guidance since and came upon this book. This book definitely met my need and I passed PSM this time. It will unfair to limit the book as just the exam guide, because the book goes in length and detail to articulate scrum in an understandable version compared to any other book that I read. The language is slightly cranky at couple of places but a great book in any sense.
Willing to take the PSM 1 certificate, this book proved to be very straight forward on explaining on details what the Scrum guide itself does not. I recommend this book to all those wanting to take this certificate, as an additional helping material (in addition to the guide).
Used this book to pass my PSM 1 exam. It is very helpful that it has exam style questions throughout the book as you cover various topics. I listened to a couple of videos and took the exam and did not pass. After I read this book, I passed with a high score.
I bought this book as I got impressed with the amazon ratings and the sample content in look-inside. I read many books on scrum including "Scrum: a Breathtakingly Brief and Agile Introduction, by Chris and Hillary", "Essential Scrum by Ken Rubin", "Scrum - A Pocket Guide by Gunther", etc.
I liked this book better than the others because this book explains the fundamental building blocks of Scrum (concepts within Scrum Guide) in question and answer fashion. And the price is relatively cheaper for a rich content. Happy with the book.
