Another classic Medcalf book! A lot of principles are in this book that we’re in Pound the Stone, burn your goals, chop wood carry water, but still incredible review and so true. Books like these help you define your greater purpose, tune out all the noise around you, and just freaking go for it. I love it and would read it again.
Great book. I read it a little out of order in the sense that I already read Chop Wood Carry Water, Burn your goals, etc. Alot of the stories mentioned in this book were better formulated in books and stories that come afterwards. Some great ideas and concepts from the book. 1- Failure is an event not an identity. 2- Stop networking and start building relationships. 3- Embrace chaos - Learn to function in the madness. 4- Your environment shapes your reality and your choices. Surround yourself with good people. 5- It is a half changed world. The old maps to success no longer apply. 6- God commands you to be bold! Take initiative. The gifts you have been blessed with are not yours. They are meant for the world. Stop living for self and start living for others. God gave the world gift THROUGH you. He commands you to live your best life.
I like that it's rooted in Christ. I like that it's written in small, digestible chapters, so it's easy to read and easy to write as well There isn't a bibliography for book recommendations Overall, very passionate and motivational!
I mostly enjoyed listening to this book. There are a lot of good and important principles discussed. However partially took a strong religious turn which made me uncomfortable. If you've read any of Joshua's other books you'll hear similar stories repeated again.
A good book. A little repetitive, but I think that was in my mind because I had just read a lot of his other books. Either way it had a lot of good lessons, and I appreciated it greatly!
Maybe Medcalf’s best book! The combination of autobiographical stories, psychological/motivational ideas, and anecdotes make the book an impactful and entertaining read.
