This is such a brilliant trilogy. I seriously had to read them one right after another because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. I love Ally Shields' writing style and the way Ally is able to weave such an elegant and exciting story.

I am a huge fan of good fantasy reads, especially when they involve elves. I think it has something to do with my introduction to them, in LOTR and the Hobbit. Since then, I have adored them being in my reads, but I also hold them to a high standard. Not often do I find an author who have such a brilliant way with words and in creating the elves. For me, that won this story over. The detail, the personality and the depth in the story and characters made it un-put-down-able.

I liked the pace of the trilogy. It moved swift enough along to really keep the story exciting, and keep me on my toes, waiting for a twist. I felt that this made me want to continue reading, well after I should have put the book down, and even start the next, when I should be sleeping. The books led into each other well, which made them easy to follow and want to continue reading.

I liked the overall story. It was creative, exciting and well developed. I would definitely recommend this to my fantasy reading fans.

**I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
