Exciting But Not Realistic

Robert Vaughan’s books are usually very well written. However, this book even though exciting and adventurous was not as realistic as most of his books are. It’s hard to believe that a woman at that period of time would be so rebellious that even the Indians would allow her to have her way.

The writer has written many books each set in a different part of the history of the United States. This one is set in the days when the Wild West was opening up and wagon trains started to cross into Indian territories.

The book is the story of a young officer's wife who is captured by Indians, her low life husband and a nasty warchief. What balances the story are all the realistic and complex minor roles. The Indians seem a lot more sympathetic then the whites. I liked to read about all the cultural things. Good book. And a cheap buy.

An RV Western About A White Woman Captured by the Indians

RV has penned a western that takes place in the southeastern part of Wyoming. The wagon train is moving through the Indian Burial Grounds when an axe breaks and the Army Lieutenant leaves the wagon, the settlers and his wife with the broken wagon. The Indians attack the wagon and kill everyone by the woman who becomes known as Real Woman. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

A good story but trying a prime reading book took me where I didn’t want to go this time. I was not familiar with this author and he was a good story teller. When I found myself inside an orgasm, I ended my reading of this series. This venture outside of Christian fiction wasn’t a good one.

A Great Read Says It All

This is a story that says it all about this era of our Western Frontier. It tells a riveting story of the probable culture of this Western period. You won't want to miss a word of ii, once you start reading.

What can I say? Robert Vaughan!

Always enjoy books by this author. Great plots, interesting characters, and not your run of the mill shoot’em ups. On to the next one.

A wives tale

A story of heroism and cowardice. By Indians, Army and individuals all tied together in an interesting story line for your reading.

Very well done book. One of the most interesting stories I've read recently. The only shortcoming I can pinpoint is characters didn't have the kind of depth that would make one care about them. Therefore, the story just didn't grab me like it should.

Lost Indeed

They say true love conquers all. For Fanny Kelly (Real Woman), she has to endure being captured by Indians in order to find it.

Fast and fun read.

Enjoyed the story and characters. Couldn't put down the book. Great twist and turns. Fun to read a story that focused on a female as the main character.
