Big Wave is friendly and loves to talk. Little Wave is so kind and gives a listening ear to his best friend, Big Wave, who usually talks big about how strong he is or how pretty his smile is, how he is king of the sea, or something about his good deed of the day. One day, something happens and Little Wave is missing. Big Wave frantically searches the ocean for him. Will he find his little wave-y friend? Will he have a change of attitude? Has Big Wave lost his best friend in the whole wide ocean?
Joyce Mitchell is a very busy grandmother and loves writing books for little children. Her debut novel, Unheard Cries won a 5-star badge from Readers Favorite in 2011.
I took some issue with this story. It seemed like an entire book of ego stroking for the most powerful wave in the ocean. Current events led to reading more into it than intended I'm sure, but that's what happened.
