OMG!!!
What in the heck! Who is after Khi!! This book had me yelling out words and people looking at me crazy! That is just how much zi was into it! The drama and twists pulled me in more and more! This is a MUST read to everybody who loves a good urban fiction book! Shan has done it again!! Ready for part 2!!

Good read needs some touch ups but overall it kept me reading to find out what was going on. It was a little predictable though when it came to Dae meeting Cuba. Enjoyed Tamar and Black but I was really wanting more out of them, not so much on the beef tip because we've seen that from Tamar too much. I really wanted to see his character grow and not be stuck in that same mindset. The next one should be interesting seeing how many loose ends they need to tie up.

Shan does it again!!!
This book much like all of her other masterpieces was the epitome of excellence. I don't think I've read a book written by Ms. Shan that wasn't a step above everyone else. Her writing style reminds you of one of the founding queens of the new urban fiction, Teri Woods. This book was hands down absolutely great. The characters were all believable. The drama between the brothers Khian, Khadee, and Daelin, was very realistic. Anyone who has siblings understand the under tones of frustration that can manifest when dealing with family members who are constantly messing up. I don't know if I necessarily agree with the actions Khi took to rid himself of the catastrophe that Dae had created but I understood his motive. On another note Khi is just dumb when it comes to the lengths that females will go to get the person that they want and Brianna clearly is going to be trouble. I am looking forward to seeing Cuba grow. It was as if Shan gave us glimpses of the potential she possessed but she hasn't quite come into her own yet. To see the way she was betrayed by her boyfriend Rue, her sister, and Bryson really is heartbreaking. They all allowed her to be caught up in a situation she had no knowledge of and unfortunately she suffered the loss of her freedom as a result. I won't tell the story just know that once again Ms. Shan has proven why she can be considered to be one of the top Queens in this genre. Her no holds barred writing style and dedication to painting a visual image that is left long after the words fade away is incomparable. In a nutshell you can't lose getting this book. Hands down this will definitely go in my top 10 of favorite books from 2015, if I am honest its probably one of my top ten of all times!!!

Cuba... girl girl girl you stayed strong for a minute but of course...smh
Um yeah so don't have anything bad to say about the book, I think for these folks to be as deep in the game as they state they should start getting.... I don't know some SECURITY!. I have never know boss type men to just be out there like that.. I understand they took a hit but um lets hire and or find some more folks you can trust "insert shoulder shrug"
I just right into book two after I finished this one... and ONLY because I wanted to know how Cuba handled this Briana thing.. I know for sure this should be interesting... well I hope!

November 16, 2023I READ THIS BOOK & PERUSED THE SERIES ALMOST A DECADE AGO & I CAME AWAY WITH THE CONCLUSION THAT FORMER CONVICT CUBA LANCE, WHO HAS BEEN EX-COMMUNICATED FROM HER OWN PARENTS WHO BLAME HER FOR THE DEATH OF THEIR OLDER DAUGHTER, SHOULD HAVE FOUND THE ABILITY TO HAVE SELF-LOVE & SELF-CONFIDENCE IN HER NO-RELAXER HAVING HAIR THAT SHE WAS MADE FUN OF BY THE PERSON WHO'D HIRED HER TO BE THE NANNY OF ONE OF HIS CHILDREN: KHIAN "KHI" PRINCE WHOM SHE NEVER HAD SHOULD HAVE ALLOWED HERSELF TO HAVE GOTTEN INVOLVED WITH.

This book had soooooo much going on it, but it was good goodt!!!…Dealan was definitely doing way too much and then everyone else was left behind to endure the blowback from his reckless behavior!!!…The fact that Tamar’s sister was still messing with him had me shaking my head!!!…
My heart broke for Amber because everyone failed her starting with her parents!!!…It’s unfortunate that The Prince brother’s uncle took advantage of her like he did!!!…
Rue knows he is definitely bogus because regardless, Cuba should have done a day in lockup because he knew what him and his friend did and for her to do the time without committing a crime was crazy!!!…Her parents don’t mess with her, but didn’t seem to question the behavior of her sister Alaska!!!…
Amber has paid a steep price for loving Daelan too!!!…Baby, I hope she heals more than her broken heart because she deserves better!!!…
Turin is just as sick in the head and he seriously couldn’t accept rejection!!!…I hope they don’t let it ride thinking Deonna played with her life like that!!!…
I can’t wait to see what happens now that it appears that bullets are ringing out in different places on these brothers!!!…
Idk if Kiahan is that slow, or his mind is on too much, but both of his children mother is playing right in his face and he act like he don’t see a thang!!!…I hope Cuba don’t fall by the wayside with his blindness!!!…

Wow and wow
At first I was confused and overwhelmed because from the beginning so many names were being dropped. It was hard to keep people straight. But as I pushed through it started coming together. This story is very interesting and had so many twists and turns. Each of the main characters had interesting stories and surprising events and revelations. Definitely a page turner. Then their was the surprise inclusion of Tamar and Rozalyn and Tamar's sister from the Rozalyn series. The way things started being revealed and all the twists and turns brought the story together to an exciting and interesting read. I loved it and I'm looking forward getting started on part 2. If you like hood tales with a good story and plots, twists and turns, this story will give you all of that.

I listened to this as an audiobook from Audible. Initially, I was annoyed by all the foul language, and there’s something about this narrator that just doesn’t work. It was difficult for me to keep the characters straight due to their similar sounding names, and the lack of inflection in the narrator’s voice to differentiate the males from the females. Narrator aside, the book was good! By the end, I was ALL IN and ready to head to book #2. However, the series is not available on Audible so I now have to go find the book to settle my curiosity of how this story continues. 🤦🏽♀️ The twists and turns are insane.

Love it!
I started reading this book in a book club not knowing what to expect and was instantly intrigued! Some of the girls in the club actually did the audible version and the rest in this series were not available on there but that was not stopping me! I had to know what was happening next! I’d rather read than listen any day anyway! Definitely a page turner!

Page Turner
I couldn’t put this book down, from the beginning to the end was mysterious, unpredictable and full of drama. Everything that occurred in the beginning all made since by the end and every character was tangled in the web of lies and deceit. I finished this book in 2 days and I’m read to start part 2.

I'm not sure if it was me or the fact that this book just seemed like one big jumbled mess...I couldn't keep the story straight. It just seemed like a jumbled mess of sibling rivalry and screwups along with infidelity....no real storyline to me.

Good read
First read by this author. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I felt it flowed well. I hated Deonna was killed and that Amber was hurt. I hope things turn around for Amber and Dae, lord help him.

Overall I liked the book. The narator trhrough me off at the beginning. I couldn't tell if he was reading from a women or a mans perspective. But once I figured it out it was easier listening through the book. The story was decent. I am interesrted to see what happens next.

This was an okay listen. The production quality was decent. However, the narrator was not the best choice for this one. There was little to no transitions in place. You could not discern when a new character or scene was taking place.
The story itself was okay. All the characters were damaged and the brothers' lack of guidance and stability showed in how they handled all their relationships. The lack of disrespect they had for women even those they claim to love was written well. It highlights the lack of parenting in their youth to show them positive relationships and interactions between men and women. While the identity shooters, in the beginning, was predictable, I thought there would be more fallout from the revelation. However, it was glossed over. There was definitely some missed potential here.
I'm going to read books 2-4 to see how this ends.

Shan Did That!!!
Shan never ceases to amaze me! This story is like the Rozalyn series times 10. Tamar is back and he is after a Prince brother, Daelean, who can't stay out of trouble due to unresolved bitterness and hatred from his childhood. The Prince brothers all have their own challenges and it keeps getting worse after one the oldest Prince brother, Kaedee's wife is mudered by a scorned lover and Khi and Cassidy are being shot at as the cliffhanger. Plus, Khi has a baby on the way with two scorned baby mothers who can't seem to move on. If part 2 is better than this, Shan has then earned the MVP for the best series yet in 2016. Ride out with the Prince brothers and get caught up in all their drama. You will not regret it!

This has the age old ingredients but Shan spiced it up with some mean spirited yet sexy men that are full of flaws but addictive frfr! Intriguing scenes with consistent character development. If I have a complaint, the names were too similar and I had a hard time trying to remember if it was Kae or Dae was Kaedae or Kaedee or Daelen or Kaydae...smh. Just a book junkye being real! All in all I loved the read...hated that it was a cliffhanger...and I see that there is a cliffhanger for #2 plus a wait. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5***** rating. The few misspelled words didn't even matter...that's how good it is! Highly recommended but if you haven't started, you should wait until she completes the series! TTT (That's Tazzyez Take)

These Prince boys are a hot mess. Dae needs someone to go upside his head. I don't know how Amber does it to top it off he cheating and flaunting it. Oh no that's a definite no no. Khi needs to fall back too. He got two crazy baby mommas and got the nerve to add someone else into the mix, before setting the two crazies straight. Then there's KaeDee, how are you a hood smart lawyer and didn't even know ya wife's background. Money laundering as early as six months ago really. Then you got Cuba with her naive self. Done went and took the charge for sorry scrub that possibly did her sister. Like really come on. Don't even get me started on Tangie like how did you not know that ya man was on some b.s. in ya own crib. They all need to wise up. A whole crew of drama.

A Great Thug Love Story
Okay I was really feeling this. It had me laughing and damn near crying at times. I was happy to hear from some ole friends from another series. Why I almost forget about Tamar? I loved all the drama the Prince brothers had going on. I am so glad I already got part 2. Cuba is getting on my nerves. She's either in or out. Taylan got what she got. She didn't know Dae like that. She should have kept her panties on. That boy is damaged. This story sure has a lot of pervs lurking around but they getting handled. I'm excited and ready to read on.

Satisfied Reader
This book was good from beginning to the end. Dae has been living reckless and now his brothers have to protect him in which they're really fed up. Tamar won't stop until he has Dae head on a platter. Khai is the one who will go beyond to make sure he's safe. But he has his own dilemma with Briana ole crack head tail. She needs to get over him. And let him be happy with Cuba. I like her character. But grimey ole crack head tail Selena needs to be dealt with. Is B.J. really Dae's. I can't wait for pt.2. Great Job

Wow I'm stuck like dang!!!
Great read from Shan again this was so good I was able to visualize it from each and every page like I was right there in the heat of the action...smh. I love me some Khi and that Dae I wish I could jump in the page and shake some sense into him. This was a 5***** read and I recommend this to anyone who loves a good book. I can't wait until the next one drops!!
