Years ago, I noticed Sundays were different from Mondays. Going to work day in and day out, I felt like I had Jesus in my pocket - and I didn't know what to do with Him. My faith and work were separate.
That is not God's plan.
We do not have a work life and a spiritual life - we just have a life. A life lived holistically and without too many boxes is a life lived well. We spend decades of our life working, so it would be wise to reckon with it.
Work was God's first blessing to us. And it's still a blessing. But we need to examine the walls that get in the way of an integrating our faith and work. If we set these walls on the table and look at them in light of God's promises we can move right through them.
This book will show you how.

The notion that we can utilize our jobs or careers to create a more intimate relationship with Jesus, not just to support ourselves financially, is powerful—thrilled to see Brad bring this conversation to light. ~Willie Morris, Founder & CEO, Faithbox
The older I get, the more I understand the power of words. Words change lives for good or bad. They can start wars and they can form marriages. They can be seeds of hope or pain. I am amazed by the power of words, and I intend to use them to positively impact other people to the best of my ability.
My first book, Walking Through Walls, is aimed at helping the reader connect the two worlds of work and Christian faith. My second book Show Yourself a Man, is a book which helps men pursue fearless manhood under the kingship of Jesus.
I love art and creativity in various forms. It is a delight to my soul to be creative and to encourage others to do the same. We all have cool stuff inside and it will beautify the world if we'll let it out.
In addition to my writing here, I write (or have written) for The Gospel Coalition, The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, and The Door Church.

My hope is to shine light into your life by illuminating the truth.
There is a lot about this book I loved. I even recommended it to my husband. It's got some great lessons. However, there were a few things that will probably keep me from recommending it to others. Mainly prudish reasons. The book used some language that would be considered fowl in my circle, but not everywhere. It also talked about drinking and smoking as a normal part of Christian living. Don't get me wrong, I love a good glass of wine, however, I know some who are adamantly against it.
A High-level and holistic perspective of the intertwining of faith, work, and life with the gospel at its foundation. A short and easy read which should point you to Jesus and should ignite questions in your soul about who and what you work for. It’s a great start to breaking down the walls of life compartmentalization.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. First of all, I'd like to start off with I hope you're not thinking of work in the corporate, 9-5 sense. This book is so much more than that. Brad Larson is an average sort of guy-in a good way. He's got a job in business, a wife and kids. He likes some down time to enjoy himself. But Brad Larson wasn't content to see people muddling through life and their job. For that, we should all be thankful. Brad addresses the issues and twisted views we've come to adopt, especially in America, about work and life. He does it in a very down-to-earth, empathetic way, using analogies like getting lost by a creek as a kid and climbing mountains with his dad. Whether you're a student, a business man, or a stay at home mom (or a writer like me), you're doing some form of work. And God has something to say about that. He wants to open your eyes and pour His life into you, and Brad does a really good job of presenting that. Walking Through Walls is full of biblical, eye-opening, and encouraging news. I believe you'll look at work and these truths in a better light after reading this book. I'd definitely recommend it. P.S. Speaking of light, I really like the cover. They did an excellent job on that, too.
