AMAZING! One of my all time favorites. at first, When you pick it up, you think it's a cute little book about sweet rabbits, and sometimes it could be, but it's also one of the scariest most ind boggling books I have ever read.

The book is about rabbit societies, dictatorship, and freedom. Sometimes it feels a little dull and long, but you will see how great it was when you finish it. My advise; finish it(it is to say that I read it in the age of 10. Back then it was quite a brick to get through).

I adore this book and it is currently my favorites. I actually don't recommend it to younger children. I read it when I was young at first and I honestly didn't understand the depth and meaning of the story. I read it again, much older and understanding, and I truly saw the big points of the story.

I have to say though, it was was a fun book to read when I was younger and when I was older. Whether you understand the meanings of everything or whether you aren't thinking deeply about the book at all, it's wonderful and inspiring.

isa told me all about this disturbing animated movie based on the book "watership down." never did i expect to love a book told from the point of view of a rabbit.....but i did. this book could have been completely hokey, but instead has fully realized characters, plot, suspense, love, fear, etc. great read!

I read this book as a child and, while I've re-read many of my childhood favorites, I hadn't tackled this one because I remembered it as being very sad. I was wrong. It is touching and inspiring, and the rabbit characters are as fully formed as the human characters in any book I've read. Recommended.

I had to read this in Jr. High. So this is a book with lasting effects. I love it!!! I learned that humans need to make amends for the animals that live on the land we take over. I did not want to read this book at first but I'm forever grateful to my english teacher for forcing it upon us.

Definitely not for kids. While kids can enjoy it, it's a tale that speaks to what it means to be a community together. I have to say that it's one of the best books I've ever read.
