This is a good primer on Columbus, specifically his four voyages. Although there is information as regards the man, as any biography would naturally include, if you're looking for a character study, this isn't it. Keeping in mind that this is condensed version of a much more in-depth, and longer, biography, there are plenty of stepping-off points for further study. Since this was written by an Italian biographer, and translated into English, some of the "flow" is suspect, but hardly impossible.
