I like this book because of the interesting notes they had on St Patrick and his life. The parts that St Patrick wrote also give information about early medieval Ireland. St Patrick also had a very interesting life, going through slavery twice and then going and traveling Ireland as a missionary. The biggest thing I noticed was that he doesn’t mention most of the miracles that are attributed to him. I also wished he had written more stories about things that actually happened in Ireland because I felt there was information missing.

While I was a little disappointed at the confused narrative and the repetition in The Confession, St. Patrick's hymns reflect his great faith and the glory of God. Truly, a wonderful short read.
