I enjoyed reading this book and getting back into action packed fiction. This book is about freelance agent Jake Fonko and his adventures around the world. He has a snack of being in places where significant historical events occur. Just like Forest Gump. And Jake is usually a part of and tends to influence these events. I guess I'll have to read the rest of the books in this series.
The series gets better and better with each wonderful adventure. I think the phrase commonly thrown around is unputdownable, well I for one cannot argue with that. How dare anyone doubt The authenticity of the world renowned Jake Phonko ? 😉
I have enjoyed reading this book which brought back memories of the Gulf war. My daughter served in this war as a Marine. Have read a lot about this war and the author stuck to the main history while taking Jake through the story with history woven in. Thank you for a superb story.
The protagonist, seemingly an agent for the CIA, finds himself involved in historically true events all over the globe. Told in the first person his tales are given greater credence.
Another three amazing stories about the incredible Jake Fonko the greatest super non agent ever. Just being Jake he has again proved his status as the man who can make chicken salad out of anything but 🐔
Between Jake and his Russian keeper, this was a comical jaunt through a history lesson. Those who've lived through these events can gain a different perspective of them. Very entertaining reading. Hilarious at some points.
Jake Fonko is Forrest Gump without the naive outlook. He knows what he is doing and where he has been. Rollicking good time, cannot recommend any more highly!
Great mix of stories, locations, and seemingly actual worldwide events
Jake Fonko, man of mystery and various affiliations travels the world to involve himself in historical events from Russia, Paris, Africa, the Philippines, and elsewher.
I enjoyed Jake's stories and look forward to reading more. These were interesting, well paced, tinged with fact and fattened with fiction. I would recommend these for casual reading on the beach.
Purchased the series out of curiosity after reading the description and could not stop once i started. Fonko is the James Bond in all of us and the Seal Team 6 role model. Pure enjoyment.
A fun romp through history, with a tongue in cheek tale of adventure.
If you enjoy action that combines a fictional character with historical world events, this is your series! One wonders what this author might come up with next. With a name like "BS Flinger", who knows!
Love these books on Jake Fonco and woyld recommend these to others. Seems like in these three that the author got a little too much BS in some places with the individual self explanations. Outside that this series as was all this series are great!!!!!
Exceptionally fun to read. I "witnessed" many of the events Jake gets himself into and to view these as an alternative history makes for great reading. The sense of humor rings throughout the series.
