Sleigh Bells Ring is a short but spicy free Christmas story that you can read on Jodie Griffin's website here.
Just imagine that Santa's reindeers are actually shifters and think about all the kinky things they could get up to with Master Elf Nic during all those long winter days while they wait for Christmas.
The trouble for Vixen is that she's fallen in love with the immortal elf and she knows she'll never be happy when she's finished her time working for him and has to return to her mortal life and the real world. Luckily for her Nic has no plans on letting her go.
Like I said before this was a really quick read but it was also a really fun one with lots of interesting uses for peppermint candy canes and icicles. It's not for the faint of heart - these reindeers all have their kinks and there are lots of multi-partner situations going on not to mention some BDSM elements but I enjoyed the story and thought reading it was a fun way to pass 20 minutes.

Whew! That was one hot Christmas short. It isn't much more than a scene and yet it was complete. Nic and his reindeer shifters are all kinky. Vixen is sad because this is her last Christmas with her hot silver-haired sadistic Sir and messes up sleigh practice because she's distracted. Nic has just the solution to get her back on track because he knows exactly what she needs.

Don't blink! The story will be over before you know it, but I just had to do a quick review of this because I loved the premise of Santa (Nicholas) being a Dom in love with Vixen, a shape-shifting reindeer.
The story starts right up with Vixen all in her head as Nicholas is tying her up for some reindeer games. It seems all of reindeer shifters are kind of kinky. Oh, that red-nosed one...it's like an ultra-wand that shocks all your naughty parts. Nicholas engages a few reindeer to help him get Vixen off, but Vixen knows her time as part of the crew is almost over. Nicholas will live forever while she goes back to being a mortal. Hence, why she is all up in her head. Nicholas isn't having any of that and with cum that tasted like sugar cookies, I don't know why she is even worrying.
This is a fun romp in a kinky way with Santa keeping his reindeer in line....with a candy cane that leaves a peppermint trail of burning. Yep, great holiday fun.

I read this way to seriously and I was annoyed and confused. I know it was supposed to be a fun and not so serious novella but I couldn’t stop questioning stuff about the magic system and world. The heroine says she is latest but not the last “Vixen”, so there’s been previous ones??? Are all these reindeer shifters temporary? It was just way too vague and it made me feel sad for this whole set up because she’s also sad that she believes she’s the last (surprise! she isn’t) “Vixen”. It was very pathetic and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for everyone else involved. The sex couldn’t even make up for it. It was so clinical and I’ve never read this author before so I’m not sure if this is the first sex scene they’ve ever written but there’s definite room for improvement. A lot, I fear.

Well...if you were looking for a naughty story about Santa and his reindeer, this one is for you! It's very unlike any Santa story that I've ever read, nor realized that I wanted to read. But I liked the premise ("What if all of Santa's reindeer are shifters who have kinky sex when they're in human form?"), I like beardy older guys, and I liked philosophies like "I made a noise behind my gag and, with a wink of his eye, I knew I had nothing to dread. Whatever evil thing he had planned, he meant for me to enjoy all of it."
The author was SUPER creative in a hilarious way about making all the accoutrements of Christmas fit with a kinky story -- smacking people with candy canes that burn in a pepperminty way when they hit your skin, toys that look like icicles, being tied up with garland, etc.

27 pages to complete my reading goal by the end of the year and it wasn’t bad. Wasn’t too clear in terms of what was happening so language could have been written better. It might’ve been hotter for that reason but I’m not deterred. This was vibes!
