This short prequel is also published in Shifters in the Snow, a multi-author bundle.
When Alpha Adam Colstone escapes to his winter cabin for some much needed solitude and relaxation, rescuing a voluptuous she-wolf from frostbite was definitely not part of his plan.
Waking up in the arms of a sizzling hot stranger, Claire Kendal thought she had to be dreaming…because not only is this man her saviour, he’s also her true mate. Adam is more than willing to put his heart, soul and body into proving to Claire that she’s not dreaming, but will it be enough to heal her of her amnesia?
Will Claire remember why she was running, before it’s too late…or will they run out of time?
**This is a standalone short Prequel to the True Mates series, was previously published exclusively in the Shifters in the Snow bundle, and comes complete with a HEA**
Claire is a wolf shifter running for her life. Adam is an Alpha wolf hoping to find his true mate. This novella quickly develops from a true romance into dangerous adventure. The plot is straight forward, no game playing and serious as a heart attack until love conquers all. Great story of two wolf shifters of true strength, courage and dedication. Short story but full of heart.
Even with teeth involved this wolf knows how to protect his true mate and protect her from the big bad coyotes. But Claire proves she isn't afraid of a fight when her mate is in danger,
(Note: although this title is available as a solo prequel now, originally it was included in the Christmas Bundle titled Shifters in the Snow… if you bought that bundle, you have this story.)
Claire was on the run, hunted down by an enemy who would go to any lengths to find her. Wounded and badly bleeding, she is on the point of collapse when she gives out one final agonized cry and falls to the blood soaked snow.
Adan is spending time at his cabin deep in the forest. He may be the Alpha of the Colstone pack, but the pressure is on for him to take a mate and produce the next generation. The trouble is Adam knows his true mate is out there – he simply hasn’t found her yet. And to take another would be unfaithful to his one fated mate. Hearing the screech of a wounded female he races into the forest – only to find a badly wounded shifter, and stumbled upon his mate, at last.
Claire is so badly wounded that Adam fears for her life. As he tenderly treats her wounds Claire will tell him of her desperate attempt to escape those who hunt her – even now, the danger is close to their door. Adam and Claire will fight those that try to separate them, to the death.
In Found we have the story of Adam and Claire – parents to James, Alpha of the Colstone Pack in the first novel in this series, Promised. And it is quickly obvious where James got his bravery, strength and sense of what is right for his pack from.
A short tale, told in alternating points of view, this is a beautiful, sexy and riveting tale of two people who believed they’d never find each other – and fighting every obstacle to be together.
If you enjoy Shifter Romance, Found is a delightful way to start the True Mates series – or if you’ve read it already, a fun look back to how it all started. Either way, you’re in for a treat.
5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆ Title: Found Series: True Mates Book 0.5 The Prequel (Short Novella) A Craggstone Author: Olivia Arran Reviewer: Stephanie Jordan #Paranormal #WolfShifter ▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪¤▪ This is really a very good book it might be short but it's sweet. I have to admit this is my first book from Ms. Arran and I'm quite surprised I mean it was very good from chapter one all the way through, and you had everything you need in a story. We had Chasing, Adventure, Killers, Two Alpha's, and a little sex not much but it was explosive. Claire Kendal is a wolf shifter running to get away, she was hurt, bleeding so much that she was starting to feel weak, trying to see how bad her injury was she had to shift the pain was so intense she screamed, an passed out. Adam Colstone was Alpha of the Colstone Pack, was alone in his cabin trying to make a decision because his pack wanted him to mate. Hearing a scream coming from the woods. There he found a body still barely alive but all bloody. Picking her up and taking her to the cabin he realized a few things, then she started to wake up and couldn't remember at first what happened to her. Then she remembered her parents died by the hands of the coyote alpha looking for her and found her. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
Every time I read one of this authors books I enjoy it. I really loved this short story, it was just a page turner from the beginning. A well written story about Adam, the Colstone Alpha who is taking a short break in his cabin as he is being pressured to mate. He knows his true mate is out there and he does not want to mate anyone else. Then he hears a scream and finds Claire injured. in the woods. At long last he has his mate. Claire is running for her life from a crazy coyote who thinks she is his mate. She has also lost her memory but it comes back quickly thanks to the mating bond. They have a short time together trying to get to know each other and deal with the mating bond before the rotten coyote shows up and then IT IS ON. Claire and Adam were lovely and a great pair and the back ground about Claire’s pack will I think come into play further on. That is a big problem brewing.
This is a very short read and sets up this series nicely. Claire is on the run and loses consciousness in the woods. Adam is an Alpha, and on his little mini vacation from his Alpha duties in his secluded cabin. Adam happens to find Claire, while helping her he discovers she is his true mate. This story has it all, especially for such a short read. You will experience the heartbreaking story of how Claire needed up at Adams cabin. The heart pumping action with the Alpha challenge to the death. The sexy hot erotic scenes as well. This is definitely a page turner that is difficult to put down until the very last page.
I was excited to read this as I realized that he was the original alpha, then sad because I remembered in the first book he had died leaving his mate. Very good short story just the same.
the first book of the True Mate series was a nice start. I like how they classified the bad shifters as if they are diseased. Lots of blood, fighting and sex. I will keep reading
